Avaya grants End User a license within the scope of the license types described below. The applicable number of licenses and units of capacity for which the license is granted will be one (1), unless a different number of licenses or units of capacity is specified in the Documentation or other materials available to End User. "Designated Processor" means a single stand-alone computing device. "Server" means a Designated Processor that hosts a software application to be accessed by multiple users. "Software" means the computer programs in object code, originally licensed by Avaya and ultimately utilized by End User, whether as stand-alone Products or pre-installed on Hardware. "Hardware" means the standard hardware Products, originally sold by Avaya and ultimately utilized by End User. License type(s) Named User License (NU). Customer may: (i) install and use the Software on a single Designated Processor or Server per authorized Named User (defined below); or (ii) install and use the Software on a Server so long as only authorized Named Users access and use the Software. "Named User," means a user or device that has been expressly authorized by Avaya to access and use the Software. At Avaya's sole discretion, a "Named User" may be, without limitation, designated by name, corporate function Avaya Equinox 3.5 Release Notes (e.g., webmaster or helpdesk), an or voice mail account in the name of a person or corporate function, or a directory entry in the administrative database utilized by the Product that permits one user to interface with the Product. Shrinkwrap License (SR). With respect to Software that contains elements provided by third party suppliers, End User may install and use the Software in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable license agreements, such as "shrinkwrap" or "clickwrap" license accompanying or applicable to the Software ("Shrinkwrap License"). Introduction This document provides late-breaking information to supplement the Avaya Equinox Windows Client 3.5 software and documentation. Avaya Spaces Integration into Equinox As part of the release, integration is being provided into Avaya Spaces for direct messaging and team collaboration. Any Equinox user can take advantage of free messaging and collaboration services in Avaya Spaces. Within the Equinox Meetings panel on the Top of Mind home-screen, users can access a button to sign up for a Spaces account and to sign in to this account. For more information please see the Spaces User Manual at If you do not want the Spaces sign in/sign up button to be visible to end users, you can disable it with the following autoconfiguration setting: SET ENABLE_AVAYA_CLOUD_ACCOUNTS 0 If you have already used the auto-configuration parameter to hide the Equinox Meetings panel in top-of-mind, the Spaces Sign-in/Sign-up option will not be shown as part of this panel. Chrome Extension not installed by default To comply with Google requirements, the Avaya Equinox for Windows installer will no longer install the Chrome browser extensions for click-to-call. Please refer to PSN005188u, which is provided for administrators to enable the chrome extension. Release Notes 5

6 What's New The following table lists the enhancements and deprecated functionality in Avaya Equinox Client and is cumulative since the last minor release showing the most recent release first and oldest release last. Release 3.5 Support for using animated emojis in an instant messaging conversation. Emojis are icons that are used to express an idea or emotion in electronic communication. Support for using the telecommuter mode on desktop platforms. You can use the telecommuter mode when you are working from your home office or other remote location. You can make and handle audio calls through the Avaya Equinox client, while using a separate telephone line at your remote location to speak and listen. Support for using Avaya Equinox for Windows in the deskphone mode, which is also called the shared control mode, with Avaya Equinox VDI. Avaya Equinox VDI is a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) soft client that enhances the audio and video quality of calls by processing the audio and video locally on your VDI endpoint. A VDI endpoint might be a thin client or a Windows-based personal computer. The controlling client, such as Avaya Equinox for Windows, is deployed on virtual desktops running in the data center and provides the user interface for unified communications. Support for controlling the calendar integration on the Windows platform. Only administrators can use this feature. If the administrator disables calendar integration, the user cannot view any references to calendar or Exchange Web Services in the Avaya Equinox client. Support for differentiating between service and non-service impacting errors on desktop platforms. All Avaya Equinox clients display an Alert icon if the configuration is incorrect or Avaya Equinox cannot connect to a server. Avaya Equinox desktop clients display an Information icon if the issue is not service impacting, not urgent, or only informative. Hebrew Language Support. 8 Known issues and workarounds Avaya Equinox 3.5 Release Notes The following table lists the known issues and workarounds in this release and is cumulative since the last major (or minor) release showing the most recent release first and oldest release last. ID Summary Found in Release ACW After logout and then re-login, conference call log becomes a peer to peer call log. 3.5 ACW In some case, users are not able to switch to "My Deskphone" using the Equinox VDI client. After choosing "My Deskphone" mode, the mode is changed, but immediately after that, the mode is changed back to "My Computer". 3.5 ACW ACW ACW ACW ACW ACW ACW ACW Workaround: Try again. Large number of incoming chats during conference may experience memory hog & lead to unhandled exception. Workaround: Re-login/Re-launch. Application may experience sluggishness during conference when sharing or change of sharing from full screen to whiteboard happens and vice versa Workaround: Re-login/Re-launch. Application may clatter during conference when user navigates backs to previous slides Workaround: Re-login/Re-launch. During conference call sometimes application locks up during hangup on large conference call Workaround: Re-login/Re-launch. Not able to mute and unmute or hold and resume and AAC Conference using Plantronics Hub and Plantronics Blackwire C410 or C520 Headsets. Equinox unable to fetch Zang Cloud meeting details under Avaya Equinox Outlook Add-in with Microsoft Outlook Upgrade from AADS WebDeployment doesn't have "VDIENV=1" in Citrix Mode. Client fails to join IP Office meeting via Equinox Outlook add-in. Workaround: Join IP Office meeting via dialpad. Video is disabled within an Equinox Conference after performing an enhanced MDA bridge call from an Android client. Workaround: De-escalate and then re-escalate video. Equinox Client mutes active Skype call unexpectedly when Plantronics headset is explicitly associated with Skype app. Plantronics headset integration headset device controls do not control the client with some devices during an Equinox or Aura conference call. Sending stream still encodes 720p even when the Windows CPU profile is Intel SSE4.2 and number of core is two. Workaround: None Client failed to join meeting with a DID number such as meetings generated by Skype meeting add-in. Plantronics headset does not work in Scopia conference when user installed Hub _Windows 7. Workaround: Upgrade to Plantronics Hub version The audio and video settings window disappears after a few seconds after launching from the portal when Equinox Windows client isn't logged in at the time. Workaround: Open the audio/video setting panel from the Equinox Windows client. Release Notes

ACW Unable to hold and then resume a call via the headset while an incoming call is answered on one MDA device while bridged in from another device. 3.1 ACW ACW-6941 Some Bluetooth headsets turn off the Microphone when selecting the Stereo Playback speaker resulting in no audio path in Equinox clients. To perform a search: o Type a keyword in the Search field. o Type a keyword in Search, and select the filters to search for content by product, release, and document type. o Select the appropriate product or solution and then select the appropriate item from the list. Add yourself as a watcher to the content using the Watch icon. As a watcher, you will be notified when content is updated or deleted from a document, or if the document is removed from the portal. Share a section on social media platforms, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and GooglePlus. Send feedback on a section and rate the content. Note: Some functionality is only available when you log on to the portal. The available functionality depends on the role with which you are logged in.
