3 1 About this Document This Resource Guide is intended for Channel Partners, Distributor-Product Managers, Sales, Engineering, Order Management, Documentation and Training personnel. It will provide the necessary information required to successfully introduce IP Office Demo Solutions. It provides an overview of the Product Components including Material Codes and Specific features provided. While reasonable efforts have been made to ensure that the information in this Resource Guide is complete and accurate at the time of printing, Avaya assumes no liability for any errors. 4 3 Summary of IP Office Demo Platform Options IP Office offers three different approaches to demo kits. Power Demo Fully optioned IP Office system running on an IP500 V2 Chassis. Consists of hardware kit and software bundle license needed to demonstrate IP Office. Server Edition/Virtualized Demo Fully optioned IP Office system running on a compatible server or virtualized environment. Install software bundle license to enable features and users to effectively demonstrate IP Office. Anywhere Demo A fully functional software-based IP Office system that runs on a laptop so the demo solution can be easily used anywhere. Includes pre-configured software licenses and no additional licenses can be added. The table below summarizes the 3 demo platforms, demo features, available software, and demo licenses. 5 3.1 Power Demo Platform The IP Office Power Demo solution provides a fully licensed and functional IP Office 500 V2 system for use in demonstrations and is offered to Partners at a substantially reduced cost. For added simplicity, there is a custom configuration file created specifically for the Power Demo system. There is also an option to purchase a custom-made case to protect the system and make it easier to bring to your customer. The IP Office Power Demo solution consists of a Power Hardware Demo Kit and a Demo Bundle IP500V2 License which should be ordered at the same time. 7 3.2 IP Office Server Edition / Virtualized Server Demo Solution The IP Office Sever Edition or Virtualized Server demo solution provides a functional IP Office Sever Edition system in Linux or VMware environments after completing the downloadable software installation from the Avaya Support site and the demo bundle license activation. It is for use in demonstrations and is offered to Partners at a substantially reduced cost. Partners must provide their own server or purchase required hardware from Avaya. As introduced in IPO R10, the IPO R10 Demo Bundle SE/Virtualized License (Material Code: ) can be ordered separately for server or virtualized server demo environment. Below is the list of system features, users, and quantities included in the demo bundle license. The software is pre-configured for added simplicity, but it also allows customization of settings when a more specialized demo is required. The system is designed to work with just a PoE switch and IP Phones. Sections 5 and 6 detail the terms. For those requiring a more sophisticated demo capability, the Anywhere Demo will support Wireless Access Points (WAP) ordered through a separate GDPP package - for ipad and mobility use cases, and SIP trunks for external connectivity. An updated version of the Anywhere Demo software incorporating the enhancements is being delivered in IP Office R10 as well as the option to demonstrate a multi-node Server Edition. Avaya Inc. 8 The hardware and software requirements to enable IP Office Anywhere Demo are as follows: MS Windows OS based PC/Laptop with minimum of: o 2GHz 64-bit Dual Core Processor o 6GB RAM (8GB recommended) o 40GB Hard Drive o Ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity o Virtualized enabled in BIOS A Web browser is required for downloading the software and running the Web Control interface o MS Internet Explorer 9.0 or higher on MS Windows 7 environment o FireFox 3.6 or later VMware Player or later (other compatible virtualization software may be used at your discretion) Application Software Demo Bundle License for IP Office Anywhere Solution The pre-configured IP Office Anywhere Demo software includes the following system features, user licenses, and quantities. No additional licenses are supported for the IP Office Anywhere solution. 9 4 Additional Demo Kit Offerings Additional Avaya Demo Packages can be ordered through the Avaya Global Demo Purchase Program to build out the partner s customer demo kit or lab capability. Current GDPP Packages relevant to IP Office include: Mid-market Networking and WLAN Package H175 Video Collaboration Package E159 Media Station Package DECT wireless Station Package IP Office Contact Center Package ASBCE Security Package Scopia Video Packages 4.1 IP Office Telephony Package for Demo Kits IP Office demo kits typically require IP Office hard client telephones. These are available as a discounted bundle via the GDPP with several demo packages. Available GDPP endpoint Demo Packages for IP Office are: IP Telephony Package (IP Office) one each of 9608G, 9611G, 9641GS Advanced Telephony Package (IP Office) one B179 conf phone, two H175 video sets DECT Station Package (IP Office) one each of 3725 handset and IP-RBS base station Media Station Package (IP Office) one each of E159, E169 Highly recommended is purchase of the MidMarket Networking and WLAN Package for the ERS PoE switch to power all the above devices plus to show IP Office prospective customers the Avaya full stack including networking and WLAN capability. 4.2 Travel Case Options (Power Demo Platform Only) The Avaya IP Office Power Demo Hard Case is designed to fit an IP Office 500 V2 chassis with two or three phones, depending on size of phone, an ERS3510 PoE Switch, and all necessary cables. 10 4.3 Unified Communications Module V2 (Power Demo Platform Only) The Unified Communications Module (UCM) V2 is a processor module supported by the IP500 V2 system. New system installation and demo systems should apply the latest R10.0 software and service pack prior to running the UCM. The module is an integrated processor; enabling Linux based IP Office applications to run within the IP500 V2 control unit rather than requiring a separate PC. Starting in IP Office R10 Power Hardware Demo kit, Unified Communication Module V2 is included and is not required to purchase separately. The Preferred License is provided as part of the IP Office R10 Demo Bundle IP500V2 License. For existing IP500 V2 demo systems without a UCM V2, the UCM V2 can be added at a discounted price through the Avaya Global Demo Purchase Program order GDPP IP Office UC Upgrade Package. Material Code Description IPO UC MOD V2 4.4 Avaya Communicator for Web Version Avaya Communicator for Web is part of the Avaya Communicator client portfolio. Avaya Communicator for Web is a browser extension built specifically for IP Office and its addressable market. Avaya Communicator for Web is designed to embed Avaya collaboration and communication (instant messaging, presence, voice and video calling, phone control) capabilities into Google Apps and Salesforce.com. Avaya Communicator for Web provides a streamlined, easy to use experience with a style familiar to customers using mobile, cloud and browser-based applications. Avaya Communicator for Web requires users to have one of the following user licenses: Office Worker or Power User. It is supported on Preferred Edition, IP Office Server Edition, and IP Office Select, One-X Portal must be installed and running. IP Office Release or later is required. Note: Office Worker licenses on IP Office R9.1.4 will not support audio and video softphone functionality via WebRTC. An upgrade to IP Office R10 will be required to support this functionality in Avaya Communicator for Web with Office Worker license types. To enable Avaya Communicator for Web, users can access the client via the Chrome Web Store or provisioned via their system administrator. Once loaded, users can authorize themselves via their Google Apps or Salesforce.com accounts. Server address information for the IP Office may be entered manually or provisioned for users and their IP Office user account and password will be required. 11 5 Rules, Terms, and Policies IP Office Demo kits and optional enhancements are attractively priced to support partners in doing customer demonstrations. They shall not be re-sold or installed in end customers systems 5.1 Maximum Purchase Allowance of Demo Systems The number of kits purchased per Avaya Partner will be limited to the following: One (1) IP Office 500v2 Power Demo Kit per Partner location. Four (4) Server Edition licenses per Partner [maximum 4 locations] One (1) IP Office 96x1Phone Demo Kit per Partner location. One (1) Scopia Lite Video Kit per Partner location. One (1) H175 Video Collaboration Station per Partner location 5.2 Licenses Rules PLDS demo licenses are Non-Production type of licenses and cannot co-exist with PLDS Production licenses on the same system. Demo licenses must be used solely for demo purposes and cannot be used on commercial systems. Once demo licenses are activated, they cannot be transferred to another system. ADI licenses that are acquired for demo purposes must reside on the assigned demo system and can t transfer to another system even after the installation of PLDS upgrades/migrations demo licenses. 5.3 Approval and Monitoring of Demo Systems As of IP Office R10, purchase of the IPO demo kits is achieved via the Avaya Global Demo Purchase Program via the OneSource ordering tools. Partners no longer need to fill out manual demo order forms or seek approvals from their Avaya CAMs or NAMs. Review and approval of the demo order will be done by the Avaya Global Demo Purchase Program regional request manager. Avaya will monitor the sale of the kits. Avaya also reserves the right to audit a Partner location to validate the usage of the demonstration equipment. Any violation to Avaya demo policy will be penalized. 5.4 Exceptions The IP Office demo kit codes come as defined packages. The kits have been created to provide optimum demonstration capability. Avaya will not exchange equipment or make substitutions. There are no provisions within this program to purchase additional equipment at special pricing beyond what is defined. Requests for additional equipment are to be directed to your Channel Account Manager (CAM) or National Account Manager (NAM). Avaya Inc. 12 6 Application License Upgrades IP Office R10 adds significant new value for partners to sell to customers. Avaya wishes to encourage Partners to move to the current release for the ability to demonstrate the new capabilities on IP Office. Starting with the IP Office R10, ADI licensing is replaced with PLDS licensing to streamline and simplify license deployment. With the introduction of PLDS Demo Licensing, a demo bundle license (at a greatly discounted price) is required for any IP Office Demo system with R10.0 or later. The quantity of licenses in each bundle is specified in Section and 3.3. There is no separate demo license upgrade process or order codes to upgrade from ADI to PLDS. 6.1 IP Office Power Demo Upgrades In order to upgrade an existing IP500 V2 demo system from R9.1 or prior to R10.0, the steps below must be followed. Partners will purchase new R10 PLDS licenses at a token nominal cost. There is no separate demo license upgrade order code. 1. Download and Upgrade IPO R10 Software via IP Office Manager or Web Manager 2. Purchase and Activate via PLDS - A1S/MPM order GDPP IP Office Software Package R10 As of R10, the PLDS host ID used for the license file must match the 12 digit PLDS ID printed on the SD card label. The existing older demo system SD card can be re-used for license management. Older SD cards will have a 10 digit feature key serial number shown by FK or FK SN. For those cards, add the prefix 11 to the front of the 10 digit serial # to get the new 12 digit PLDS Host ID. Alternately an SD card replacement may be done by purchasing a new SD card and returning the old demo SD card to Avaya containing the previously acquired ADI licenses. The material code for a new SD card is listed below. Purchase the correct version based on the geographical location of the demo system, following the standard A1S SSR/SBA process. Purchase and Activate via PLDS - GDPP IP Office Server Edition Full Feature Software Package R10 An existing IP Office Server Edition or Virtualized demo system must download and upgrade from R9.1 Avaya Inc. 13 or prior to the latest R10 software via IP Office Manager or Web Manager. Once the demo system has been upgraded, the purchased IPO R10 DEMO BUNDLE SE/Virtualized License can be activated in order to enable a fully functional demo system. Pre-existing ADI licenses on the demo system will co-exist with PLDS demo licenses and partners must still follow the terms and conditions specified in Section 5 and Additional R10 IP Office Demo Licenses The IPO demo kit license bundles already contain sufficient licenses for most partner demo situations. If a partner has a valid reason to add additional licenses to a demo system, they can be ordered at discounted prices under the Avaya Global Demo Purchase Program. The GDPP Package process for ordering these additional licenses will be in place beginning October 1, 2016 until that time please submit a special request with design and business case justification following the A1S SSR/SBA process. The R10 demo licenses shown in the right column below have special discounted pricing. The equivalent R9.1 and R10 commercial codes are shown as reference. 14 7 Logistics, Pricing, and Ordering 7.1 Pricing & Ordering To simplify equipment ordering and delivery, the hardware demo kits are each ordered with a single material code. The hardware demo kit will be shipped to Distributors as one complete set of components. Each box will be serialized. The license keys are not included in the hardware demo kits, and they must be ordered separately. Purchasing of IP Office demo kits as of IPO R10 is now done via the Avaya Global Demo Purchase Program. Partners are no longer required to fill out pre-approval forms or get signatures from their Channel Account Manager (CAM) or National Account Manager (NAM).
