Skype for Business mobile clients are not supported. 4 Vulnerability alert for component YUI library After Upgrade, the configuration is lost QoS tagging not working correctly The following enhancements have been brought in V7.7 (build ) for Solution 8.3.7: Added support for sending SNMP traps with Scopia Management 8.3 Added SHA256/2048-cert support Skype for Business 2016 desktop client support. The Scopia Video Gateway for Microsoft Lync V7.7 has been tested and validated for video interoperability with Skype for Business 2016 desktop clients (Supported server remains Lync Server Skype for Business Server 2015 is not supported), leveraging the RT Video codec supported on both sides. The limitations are the same as with Lync 2013 desktop clients. Skype for Business 2016 mobile clients are not supported. Features in the 7.7 version for Solution Scopia Video Gateway version 7.7 includes the following features: Skype for Business 2015 desktop client support. The Scopia Video Gateway for Microsoft Lync V7.7 has been tested and validated for video interoperability with Skype for Business 2015 desktop clients (Supported server remains Lync Server Skype for Business Server 2015 is not supported), leveraging the RT Video codec supported on both sides. The limitations are the same as with Lync 2013 desktop clients. Skype for Business 2015 mobile clients are not supported. Lync 2013 Server and desktop clients support the gateway has been tested as part of a Lync 2013 deployment and is officially supported mobile clients are not supported. Official Microsoft qualification Scopia Video Gateway for Microsoft Lync is the first and only gateway that is officially qualified by Microsoft to be deployed in Microsoft Lync 2010 and OCS-R2 deployments. For more information, please visit the following web page: H.239 Data sharing When content is sent from an H.323 device to the gateway, the latter will send the content on the main video channel instead of the actual video. Gallery Layout When used with the Scopia Elite 6000 MCU, the H.239 content sent from an H.323 device is assembled in a layout also showing the last 6 speaker videos and returned in the main video channel to Lync clients. Real-time presence information in 3rd party deployments, specifically in Cisco deployments using Cisco VCS. This will allow deploying the gateway in Cisco deployments and still enjoy all the gateway benefits and great functionalities. End to end encryption the gateway now supports H.235 encryption on the H.323 side of the call. This is in addition to the encryption on the Lync side. Custom Lync images the gateway uses special images for each H.323 device so the user can differentiate between Lync clients and H.323 devices and also between the different H.323 devices. My Virtual Room a new contact is now available on your Lync contact list. Starting a video call with this contact connects the user directly to his personal virtual room. 6 Note: Upgrading to Scopia Video Gateway version 7.7 requires a new license key. Please contact Avaya customer support to obtain a new license. You will need to reconfigure it manually (CON002) Calling from a H.323 endpoint to a Microsoft Office Communicator (MOC) client may fail to connect in case the MOC is already on another call (ENC002) Performing 'hold' and 'resume' from a Lync client results in a call disconnection (IOT003) Disconnecting a Lync client from an Elite MCU conference may result in a black sub-frame seen by the other conference participants for several minutes (IOT005) Inviting an Elite MCU conference from the Microsoft Lync MCU results in CIF resolution (PRE001) When a Lync client calls another Lync client with a personal H.323 endpoint and the call is answered on the H.323 endpoint, the presence of the respective Lync client remains Available This section details the list of limitations and issues that remain unresolved in this version. Lync 2013 Interoperability LYNC Lync 2013 A/V MCU is not supported. Lync 2013 mobile client is not supported. Skype for Business 2015 Interoperability S4B S4B 2015 A/V MCU is not supported. S4B 2015 mobile client is not supported. S4B Server 2015 is not supported. Skype for Business 2016 Interoperability S4B S4B 2015 A/V MCU is not supported. S4B 2016 mobile client is not supported. S4B Server 2015 is not supported. Installation and Upgrade INS001. MTU size of the gateway is not restored after configuration update. You will need to reconfigure it manually Connectivity Issues CON001. Inviting a PIN-protected virtual room or the SCOPIA video auto attendant to a conference on the Microsoft Lync 2010 MCU fails to connect as there is no ability to send DTMFs from the Microsoft Lync MCU CON003. Inviting a Lync/S4B/OCS client from another Lync/S4B/OCS client which is in a call with a H.323 endpoint that supports H.263 only may fail to connect and disconnect the existing call Release Notes for Avaya Scopia Video Gateway for Microsoft Lync Known Issues 7

When a Lync/S4B/OCS client calls another Lync/S4B/OCS client with a personal H.323 endpoint which is Tandberg or VC240 and the call is rejected from the H.323 endpoint, the respective Lync/S4B/OCS client will keep on ringing(2543) CON005. Connecting to the Conference Auto Attendant (CAA) of the OCS A/V MCU in an OCS-R2 deployment is not supported Interoperability IOT001. When calling from a Lync/S4B/OCS client to Sony PCS-1, the video may flicker for a few seconds IOT002. Inviting a Lync/S4B/OCS client to a conference on the Scopia MCU may result in a CIF video resolution IOT004. Pressing the Hold button in a Lync/S4B/OCS client that is connected to a Scopia Elite MCU conference may result in a black subframe seen by the other meeting participants IOT006. When making a call between a Lync/S4B/OCS client and a Polycom VS512, video channel from the VS512 fails to open IOT007. When making a call from a Lync/S4B/OCS client to a Tandberg 1000, video channel from the Tandberg may fail to open. This issue is resolved in the endpoint s firmware version 10.3B or later IOT008. Stopping the video in call between a Tandberg 990 MXP and a Lync/S4B/OCS client causes the endpoint to close the audio channels as well. To overcome this issue, it is recommended to upgrade to Tandberg version F8.0 or later IOT009. When stopping and restarting the video from a Lync/S4B/OCS client in a call with a Polycom VSX7000, the Polycom endpoint fails to reopen the channel due to its inability to renegotiate the call capabilities IOT010. When making an audio-only call from a Lync/S4B/OCS client to a Polycom HDX9002 and then adding video, the video opens with CIF resolution and low frame rate as the HDX9002 constantly requests to reduce the call bandwidth to 32K IOT011. Presentation shared in a Scopia Classic MCU conference will not be seen by Lync clients connected to the same conference Encryption Issues ENC001. 9 DAT001. Data sharing (H.239) is only supported in one direction, from H.323 devices to Lync/S4B/OCS clients. When data is available, it is sent on the main video channel instead of the actual video, unless the Gallery Layout feature of the Scopia Elite 6000 MCU is used. Third Party Deployment Issues In case where your H.323-based video network is comprised of non-scopia components and you have deployed the SCOPIA Video Gateway, please refer to the Configuring a Third Party Deployment chapter in the SCOPIA Video Gateway Deployment Guide. This chapter describes in details the required settings on each one of the components. TP001. Presence information for H.323 endpoints is unavailable. The presence status for these endpoints is always shown as Available in the Lync/S4B/OCS clients contact list. You may still call each one of these endpoints but the result of the call is unpredictable. This limitation does not apply in deployments with Cisco VCS. TP002. Third party MCUs do not appear in the Lync/S4B/OCS clients contact list.
