There are much better articles on Kanban available freely on Blogs. The Kanban method for IT was formulated by David Anderson and was pained to see not a single reference about him in this book as well. his book doesn't take into account the practices of Kanban and not sure how it can be referred as a guide, as the title suggests. Even if it is available for free, I won't suggest it to anybody and would ask them to join related groups on Kanban in Yahoo and LinkedIn. I read this book because one of my family members works in the software commercial industry and I

3 wanted to see what their approach to product development is like. I understand the basics of Agile, but I never heard of anything called Kanban. From reading this book, I can infer that Kanban is an additional process framework on top of Agile. Kanban focuses more on incremental development - improving products from one iteration to the next. The book does do a good job explaining the differences, but I still have some difficulties picturing some of things that the book talks about. Still a good book though. This book introduced me to the Kanban system and how it is able to contribute to a business systemâ s efficiency. Interesting insights. Author was able to lay out a solid foundation of its basic principles through specific examples and scenarios. A recommended tool for project managers! For someone that is involved in business this is a great book that teaches you the fundamentals of kanban. This is a new concept to me and I can't wait to use the principles set fourth in this book. My biggest take away was the board that is used to systemize the To Do's and to get things done quickly and efficiently. I will be looking into a digital board which the book talked about as well for it would be great for my field. Just as anything in life kanban is always in constant refinement I've heard Kanban being part of a business plan and I totally know nothing about it hence I got this book.upon reading I found this book to be a very good primer that would educate the readers on all the basic information of what Kanban is, it's implementation and how it effects your team or organization. I definitely will read this again in order for me to digest all information herein. This was quite a good read. I have used the previous edition and now I am working with this one for my classes about "Software Project Management" at University. It is a great book about project management and it takes a very interesting point of view focused on a practical view about how to apply project management depending on the kind of project, people, stakeholders...i like very much how he understands the application of the acronym IRACIS (Increase Revenue, Avoid Costs, Improve Services) for the choice of the whole set of requirements for a project and how to decide the type of project to follow according with these features. This is a great guide for management, if you want to optimize the efficiency of your work staff, this book teaches you, how to solve real problems in real projects.
