1 Isuzu Health Report 2011MY and Later/DRM User Guide with IDSS II Description The Isuzu Health Report is an 11-page report generated by using extracted stored vehicle data from the Mimamori ECU. This data can be found on 2011MY and later 5.2L / 3.0L diesel engines, or the Data Recording Module (DRM) found on 2007 to 2010MY 5.2L / 7.8L diesel engine vehicles equipped with a diesel particulate filter (DPF), by means of an Isuzu Health Report Reader application. This application is a separate application from IDSS launched by an ICON on the IDSS PC desktop labeled "Isuzu Health Report". All Isuzu Health Report Reader application updates are performed through the IDSS Web Updater. The Isuzu Health Report application is used with the IDSS II tablet (or PC with IDSS II software) and the Isuzu Health Report Cable. This cable is the media used to transmit RS-232 messages from the Mimamori ECU and convert these messages into USB messages, read by the IDSS II tablet or PC. The DRM information is downloaded using the DRM extension harness provided to each dealer along with the IDSS II Interface cable. Some N/W Series trucks equipped with a DPF may already have this DRM extension harness installed. For those vehicles not equipped with a DRM extension harness, the dealer s DRM extension harness should only be used temporarily to pull data and then removed. Extracting Vehicle Data to Generate and View an Isuzu Health Report Important: The Ignition MUST remain ON for the entire download process, or the download will fail. Important: The DLC Cable is needed to retrieve VIN information. After the VIN is retrieved successfully, the DLC Cable can be removed if so desired. Important: In order to view the SPEED information in the Isuzu Health Report, the data must first be consented by the customer. A Consent Form will need to be filled out and faxed to receive authorization for speed data. Click on the "Consent Form" in the Isuzu Health Report Reader application main menu. Important: The IDSS II only stores the last 10 VIN s pulled. 1. Connect the IDSS II tablet or PC with interface, to the vehicle. Using the IDSS II Interface cable, connect to the Data Link Connector (DLC). Connect the Isuzu Health Report Cable between the vehicle Mimamori ECU download connector and the IDSS II USB port for 2011MY and later. If you are using a PC with the interface device and the DRM extension harness for MY you will note the following: After retrieving the VIN, you will be prompted to disconnect the IDSS cable from the vehicle DLC, and connect the IDSS cable to the DRM extension harness cable to the DRM module.

3 2. Launch the Isuzu Health Report Reader application by double-clicking the "Isuzu Health Report" ICON on the desktop. 3. Select the Retrieve ICON.

4 4. Fill in Customer and vehicle information. (Click OK) 5. If you get this screen, make sure the ignition is ON with the engine OFF, and that the battery is fully charged, or you could have a bad connection with the DLC cable.

5 6. Vehicle VIN is successfully retrieved on MY 2011 and newer. (Click OK) Or with a DRM MY (Click OK)

7 C/H Series w/7.8l Diesel 7. If there is no internet when you pull the Health Report, you can click on the Synchronize icon when you get a signal.

8 8. Select the connect ICON to start downloading. 9. If you were unable to connect with MY 2011 and newer, and you get this screen, you may need to reload the driver for the RS232 cable.

9 To load the driver, go to C:\Program Files (x86)\idss\cdm20814_setup.exe. Double click on this link to install drivers. You may need to do it twice, or you can go to Device Manager, and click on Scan for hardware changes. In Device Manager, when the cable is recognized, you should see USB Serial Converter.

10 10. If an internet connection was established, data will automatically be downloaded for review. If an internet connection is not available at the time of the download, you will see this screen.

11 11. Data will automatically be SYNCHRONIZED after download is complete if there is an internet connection. 12. When download is complete, click RETURN to go to the Main Menu screen, and select ICON to view Health Report. Click OK to return to Main Menu.

12 13. Click on Isuzu Health Report ICON. 14. This screen shows the file as a time stamp for comparison use. Click OK to generate Isuzu Health Report. (They will already be highlighted so click OK).

13 15. The consent screen is the next to appear. Important: In order to view the SPEED information in the Isuzu Health Report, the data must first be consented by the customer. Consent Form will need to be filled out and faxed to receive authorization for speed data. Click on the "Consent Form" in the Isuzu Health Report Reader application main menu. IMPORTANT: Vehicle speed information cannot be viewed in the Health Report until a Consent Form is filled out (See Consent Form below), signed by the customer, and faxed by the dealer to Par-tech at Par-tech will then add this VIN to the VIN Consent database, which will allow this data tab to be viewed. Use the Synchronize button while connected to the Internet to download the latest VIN Consent database (see Synchronize below). The VIN consent database is a database containing ALL consented VINs. The consent form will be on file and is good for one (1) year from the time of customer signing.

14 16. Click on Consent Form, and print off, fill out, and fax the form in to enable SPEED information. 17. The Isuzu Health Report can be saved to a PDF file or printed for the customer.

15 18. When you save file to a PDF, select the path to where you want it to be saved. 19. The next screen will show where it is saved.
