2 What is OVH Public Cloud Public Cloud Instances provides a choice of two types of virtual machines: the RAM instances are designed for memory-hungry purposes such as running Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications, creating multimedia content, or managing large databases. Cloud CPU instances lend themselves to managing processing-heavy tasks including data analytics, computer simulations and managing peak server loads.

3 Step 1 : Download Puttygen from

4 Step 2 : Installing puttykeygen in local machine Generate RSA Key by clicking on Generate Button Copy the Complete key generated by puttygen.

5 Step 3 : Log in to OVH Control Panel and insert the generated SSH Key Click the SSH keys button and give a Key name and paste the copied key into the key section. Click on the Add this key button. We can add multiple keys as per convenience

6 Step 4 : Save the Generated Public Key in your local system Save the generated private key as a ppk file.

7 Step 5 : Creating a new VPS on Public Cloud Go back to your OVH Control Panel and click on infrastructure tab under Project category Click on Add Button to create a new VPS

9 Step 6 : Select Server Specifications Select the server specification as per requirement Following are the options which can be used :- Server same Server specs (Virtual Hardware) Operating systems Datacentre selection Key File Advanced options Hourly usage Fixed monthly rate After above steps click on launch now button

10 Step 7 : Access VPS To access your created VPS we to log into the from APS IP address via Putty Enter the IP address of your server into the Host name Click on the SSH in category section Click on the sign on SSH text and browse the key file which was saved earlier. Click on open button

11 Step 8 : Login into Server To access your created VPS we to log into the from APS IP address via Putty Log In as Admin

12 Log In as Admin Step 8 : Login into Server Run the Sudo I Command to get the root privileges

13 Step 9 : LAMP Server Installation Run apt-get update command to update your system Run sudo tasksel command to install LAMP( Linux Apache MySQL & PHP) Sever. Select the LAMP package Enter the Mysql root password want to set Run the Sudo I Command to get the root privileges

14 Step 8 : LAMP Server Installation After the LAMP Server installation enter your server ip into your browser URL to test the webserver is working fine.

15 Step 10 : Installing Wordpress Run the wget command Unzip the latest.zip file Enter into WordPress directory Copy all files to /var/www/html directory by following cp * -rv /var/www/html After the above step check the /var/www/html directory to see all files has been pasted there Again refresh the browser with server ip and you will see Wordpress installation page. Also please ensure you have deleted default index.html file in html directory with following command : rm index.html Refresh browser page again.

16 Step 11 : Installing PhpMyAdmin Run the sudo apt-get install phpmyadmin Enter mysql password to complete the installation Enable the PhpMyAdmin extension with Server Ip. Restart apache2 Service Now we can access PHPMyAdmin with Localhost/phpymyadmin

17 Step 12 : Creating database in PhpMyAdmin Login with mysql login details Create database for wordpress

18 Step 13 : Loging through FTP Login with mysql login details Create database for wordpress Login into Server via FTP with Information

19 Step 13 : Loging through FTP After Login Edit the wp-config-sample.php file Right now the owner of files is root

20 Step 13 : Loging through FTP Run the chown R admin:admin /var/www/html Owner and group will be updated

21 Step 13 : Loging through FTP After owner and group will be updated Update the wp-config file and complete the wordpress installation.

22 Step 14 : WordPress Site Details Update Wordpress Details Default Apache DIR Name : etc/apache2/sites-available Default PhpMyAdmin DIR Name :/etc/phpmyadmin
