VMware from HP provides a comprehensive suite of virtualization solutions designed expressly for mission-critical enterprise computing. includes a portfolio of VMware ESX Server, Virtual Infrastructure Node, VMware VirtualCenter Management Server, and VMware Virtual SMP software license SKUs. The 2P and 4P VMware ESX and ESX VIN licenses are available bundled with the ProLiant Essentials Virtualization Management Software (PEVMS) which includes Virtual Machine Management Pack (VMM) for central management and control of your virtual machines and ProLiant Essentials Server Migration Pack for automated physical to virtual (P2V) migrations. All VMware virtualization software must be purchased with a required software Support and Subscription service available for 9x5 or 24x7 coverage and 1-year or 3-year packages. 2 Product Features Flexibility With the new ProLiant Essential SKUs customers can now purchase VMware products to implement new, or expand an existing, virtual computing environment utilizing recently purchased HP ProLiant servers. Customers may continue to purchase VMware Virtualization software bundled with HP ProLiant servers and Support. Customers now have the flexibility to upgrade existing VMware ESX Server installations to full Virtual Infrastructure Node (VIN). Manageability The ProLiant Essentials Virtualization Management Software (PEVMS) provides central management and control of your VMware virtual machines. Integrated with HP Systems Insight Manager, Virtual Machine Manager (VMM), provides unified management of virtual machines and supports HP ProLiant host server resources Provides the ability to manage both physical and virtual resources from a single management console. Simplifies day-to-day management and operation of virtual machines. ProLiant Essentials Server Migration Pack (SMP), a companion product to the Virtual Machine Management Pack, automates the manual processes required for a physical server to virtual machine (P2V) migration.
