Flexibility of administration. Administrative tasks can be unique to each forest. Secured data within each forest. Sensitive data can be protected so that only users within that forest can access it. Enforcement of SID filtering in Windows Server SID filtering ensures that any misuse of the SID history attribute on security principals (including inetorgperson) in the trusted forest cannot pose a threat to the integrity of the trusting forest. Enforcing SID filtering on forest trusts does not prevent use of SID history in migrations to domains within the same forest and does not affect your universal group access control strategy. Isolated directory replication within each forest. Schema changes, configuration changes, and the addition of new domains to a forest have forest-wide impact only within that forest, not in a trusting forest.
