2 Volvo Car Statement We are building fewer and fewer test vehicles, and we need to find alternative ways to verify functions in early phases. We see CANoe / CarMaker / vteststudio as a very good solution to meet these requirements. Mattias Savinainen, Test Engineer, Suspension Module 2

14 Experiences from Volvo Car Projects Ordinary laptops have been used as execution platforms CarMaker Office (Windows) good enough for many use cases CarMaker HIL (Linux) for hard real-time CANoe with Vector RT HW is recommended To be considered Closed loop timing requirements for signal exchange > ECU I/O sample rates, Real-time platforms > Vector VN8912/RT rack, IPG Xpack4, Concurrent, CAN and FlexRay networks have a natural delay By oversampling of signal exchange time-critical functions can be fulfilled 14
