18 Applications and processors tips Cores Many CAD applications can t utilize all the cores available 4 Cores recommended Cores are often more important than speed for applications that do renderings, analysis, simulation, animation, light effects. Hyper Threading Generally helps applications that use multiple core, however linearity varies, some applications are slower. Turbo Boost Generally can help all applications, if power and cooling parameters are maintained 5- to 10% rule productivity rule If you need multiple cores 5-10% of the time or more get more cores 18
