3 1.0. Intrductin ACR38F Smart Flppy is the ideal slutin fr easy integratin f smart card readers int the desktp envirnment. It uses the same electrnic circuit as the ACR38 and has the versatility and cstefficiency f ACS smart card readers. Using the USB interface, it is prpelled by the cmputer s internal pwer supply, and can be cnfigured t g with the custmer preferences Smart Card Reader ACR38F Smart Flppy supprts ISO 7816 Class A, B, and C smart cards. Als, it wrks with different memry cards and micrprcessr cards with T=0 and T=1 prtcl. It features a USB Full Speed interface and a smart cards read/write speed f 344 Kbps. This highly durable device can last fr at least 100,000 card insertin cycles Ease f Integratin ACR38F Smart Flppy is easy t install, use, and integrate in a cmputer-based envirnment. It is PC/SC and CCID cmpliant, and its drivers are cmpatible with Windws, Linux and Mac OS. In additin, ACR38F Smart Flppy may nw be used n mbile devices running the Andrid platfrm with versins 3.1 and abve. With its varius features, ACR38F Smart Flppy can be used in different applicatins, such as e- Banking and e-payment, e-gvernment, Lyalty, and Access Cntrl applicatins. 9 6.0. Interface Scheme ACR38F Smart Flppy is designed t be munted r integrated int a standard persnal cmputer chassis; therefre the tp plastic cver is nt required. The pwer f the reader is btained thrugh the internal switching pwer supply f the cmputer. Basically, the functinality f the ACR38F Smart Flppy is the same as an ACR38 reader. The size is the same as a standard 3.5-inch flppy disk drive and there is n plastic cver n tp. There are als screw hles n the reader fr munting the device n the cmputer chassis. Fr cnvenience, fur (4) pieces f PA 2.6 mm x 8 mm screws are included. A 4-pin mini pwer scket (M) is prvided n the PCB reader fr the pwer interface (the scket is the same as the ne used in a 3.5-inch flppy disk drive) n which the included USB A/B cable, shwn in Figure 1, is t be used fr cnnecting the reader t a USB prt n the hst cmputer.
