1 The Savant Call Server (SCS-3000) is a key communications building block in a Savant system. The Savant Call Server allows you to make panel-topanel calls from any intercom-ready ios devices (iphone, ipod touch, or ipad ). The SCS-3000 is an essential communication component, which must be included in any Savant intercom solution. The SCS-3000 consists of a single Savant Host Controller containing the Savant Call Server software and is shelved in a U rack mountable shelf. 6 Specifications for Mounting Device in Rack The SCS-3000 can be mounted in a U rack style enclosure. The next figure shows a partial view of a typical rack used to house an SCS-3000 and other devices. The SCS-3000 is compatible with all standard 9-inch National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) rack-mounts. SCS-3000 The exploded view (below) shows the SCS-3000 mounted with an RCK-3000 (the front access with removable faceplate, sliding trays, and mounting brackets) and an RCV-3000 (top cover). The open shelf design allows for proper ventilation and easy wiring. Optional Top Cover Cooling air enters the SCS-3000 through the gap around the bottom cover and exits through the vent on the back (as shown below).
