2 The Importance of Effective Communications

3 Time, a most valuable commodity, influences both our personal and business activities. The proper use of it greatly affects how efficiently and effectively we perform our daily tasks. Productivity and efficiency are greatly influenced by time and are at the heart of every business model. They are most effective when accomplished through seamless integration of all aspects of an operation. Communications is the key to any successful operation as it supports both productivity and safety factors. The ability to communicate plans, facts, and ideas in a timely and accurate manner plays a large role in a successful operation. This is particularly true when the communication must occur between various areas of a manufacturing facility. Overhead speaker broadcasts to specific facility areas, pointto-point intercom communications, remotely controlling facility entrances, placing/receiving telephone calls, or providing emergency announcements to all employees are examples of seamless communications between various areas of a manufacturing or production facility. Combining these communication functions within a single, integrated system promotes accomplishing tasks both quickly and efficiently and will help businesses save valuable time, money, and potentially even lives.

4 The HUBBCOM Advantage HUBBCOM devices are designed to seamlessly integrate all aspects of a facility s communications to help save time and improve efficiencies, while enhancing employee safety. Office areas can use HUBBCOM devices as their primary telephone, supported by a SIP Server, or as point-to-point intercom between offices. Their IP format allows easy installation on an existing or new Ethernet backbone, offering multi-line intercom communications (permitting conferencing) and multi-zone overhead speaker broadcasting capability. HUBBCOM devices additionally offer point-to-point intercom conversations that will provide a video link between parties (if desired).

5 Public Address & General Alarm Each HUBBCOM device is capable of providing an 8-watt audio output into an 8-ohm speaker. This feature permits general public address or emergency announcements throughout the networked system. The speaker output would also be used when the HUBBCOM system is being utilized for general intercom and when locating an individual or individuals in the facility. This broadcast function is generally referred to as Paging. When paged from the overhead speakers, an individual or individuals will simply go to the nearest HUBBCOM unit and answer the broadcast on the announced line (1, 2, 3, 4, or 5). Multiple personnel can communicate on a common channel, providing true party line, or conference functionality. Network To other HUBBCOM devices

6 Emergency Announcements Employee safety is at the forefront of most companies and keeping personnel well-informed is the first step in a successful safety program. The HUBBCOM system is capable of being divided in up to five different paging zones or areas. This will permit someone to broadcast over loudspeakers in a specific area without disturbing personnel in other areas. It is also very useful when trying to reach personnel over the loudspeakers but is extremely important while broadcasting Emergency Announcements. During an emergency situation, personnel in one area of the facility may require different instructions than those in another area. An example would be to instruct personnel in one area to evacuate and personnel in another area to remain in their area during the same emergency situation. If the instructions are meant to be facility-wide, then an all-call broadcast would be made to all HUBBCOM units in the facility. In turn, the HUBBCOM units will broadcast the announcement from their associated overhead loudspeaker as well as from their integral speaker. Warehouse Zone 1 Network Production Zone 2

7 Building & Gate Entry Providing the ability to monitor building access and control entry from a central location is a key to eliminating potential dangers. HUBBCOM devices can serve as a door/gate entry device, providing audio and video input to a centrally-located position (security/administration). The device at this position is capable of two-way communication, receiving video, and providing a control output to unlock doors or open gates. 8 Web Portal Access (monitor & control) The HUBBCOM device can be used to monitor and/or control various activities. Environmental or lighting, SMART control or activity scheduling, the HUBBCOM can import information from up to three (3) separate urls for touchscreen display. The web portal must be available in I-screen format in order to be compatible. SMART building monitoring can now take place from any HUBBCOM device location, if desired.

9 Product Information HUBBCOM devices are available in four model packages; desktop/wall-mount handset, desktop/wall-mount hands-free, flush-mount handset, and flush-mount hands-free.
