5 2 Installng mquest Download mquest nstallaton package 2 Installng mquest 2.1 Download mquest nstallaton package 1. Download the nstallaton package from the my.mquest portal under under Downloads > Latest verson onto your PC. 2. Extract the downloaded ZIP fle nto a temporary setup drectory, e.g. C:\TEMP\mQuest_Setup. 2.2 Install mquest onto the PC For nstallaton and operaton, the followng condtons must be fulflled: QuestAdmn/QuestEdtor: Wndows 7 and 10 We recommend usng the 64Bt verson. Wndows admnstrator rghts for the nstallaton of the mquest software Wndows man user rghts for the use of the mquest software The followng TCP ports must be accessble for the communcaton between QuestAdmn/QuestEdtor wth the QuestServer: Communcaton QuestServer - QuestAdmn/QuestEdtor 443 (wth SSL) Communcaton QuestServer - mquest Clents 443 (wth SSL) If necessary, older nstalled versons of mquest have to be unnstalled before a newer mquest verson can be nstalled. INSTALLING MQUEST: 1. Double-clck the fle setup.exe n the temporary setup drectory n order to start the nstallaton process. 2. Follow the nstallaton nstructons. You have the possblty to choose the components whch shall be nstalled. In order to do ths, clck on the checkboxes of the components whch you would lke to nstall. Snce your QuestServer s hosted by cluetec GmbH, you do not need the module QuestServer. The selecton n the nstallaton mode Standard s sutable for most users. mquest Quckstart 3

6 2 Installng mquest Install mquest onto the PC! Pay partcular attenton when settng the nstallaton path that no umlauts or specal characters are ncluded. mquest Quckstart 4

7 3 Frst steps Start QuestAdmn 3 Frst steps 3.1 Start QuestAdmn Start the QuestAdmn orthe QuestEdtor wth the program lnk n the Wndows start menu (Start > Programs > mquest) or by double-clckng the program con on the desktop. USER INFORMATION FOR THE QUESTADMIN: 1. Start the QuestAdmn. 2. Clck Preferences > QuestServer n order to once set the QuestServer preferences. Use the nformaton you receved va emal from cluetec GmbH. 3. Clck Logn/Logout > Logn n order to log n as the admnstrator. Use the logn nformaton you receved va emal from cluetec GmbH. In addton to the already created users (admnstrator/ntervewer) you can add one or more users (admnstrators/ntervewers) va User > Add user n the QuestAdmn. mquest Quckstart 5

8 3 Frst steps QuestEdtor For nformaton about how to fle questonnares and manage results, see mquest manual chapter 11 ( Flng questonnare on the QuestServer: QuestAdmn/QuestEdtor ) and chapter 14 ( Manage results: QuestAdmn ). All other nformaton about the use of QuestAdmn can be found n chapters 10 ( QuestAdmn overvew ) and 12 ( Generate test data: QuestAdmn ). 3.2 QuestEdtor Wth QuestEdtor you create the questonnare that you wll later use for your survey on the mquest clent. For all nformaton on how to create questonnares wth QuestEdtor, see mquest manual chapter 3 ( Creatng a questonnare: QuestEdtor ). 3.3 Moble devces For devces wth the operatng system Google Androd the mquest Clent s avalable n the Google Play Store (Androd Market). For devces wth the operatng system Apple OS the mquest Clent s avalable n the Apple App Store. 1. Vst the Google Play Store (Androd Market) or the Apple App Store and search for mquest. Use ths QR code to go drectly to the App Store or Google Play to nstall mquest: 2. Install the mquest Clent. mquest runs on moble devces wth the followng operatng systems: Google Androd (Verson 2.3 and hgher) Apple OS (Verson 8 and hgher) mquest Quckstart 6

9 3 Frst steps Moble devces Start mquest Clent on a moble devce Start the mquest Clent by clckng on the mquest con your moble devce. n the man menu of USER INFORMATION FOR THE MQUEST CLIENT: 1. Start the mquest Clent. The welcome screen wll appear. 2. Select a QuestServer Profle. Use the profle Manual confguraton to enter your user nformaton. Use the nformaton you receved va emal from cluetec GmbH. The settngs can be changed at any tme n the menu Settngs > QuestServer Preferences. mquest Quckstart 7
