1 Product Retirement Notice PRN #12-08 January 30, 2012 Honeywell Announces End of Life Plan for MX3Plus Handheld Computer This notice serves as formal communication of Honeywell Scanning & Mobility s intent to discontinue the following product(s): MX3Plus This retirement notice attempts to identify all SKUs affected by the discontinuation of the MX3Plus. It is possible that some part numbers were missed in the list provided. Honeywell reserves the right to include omitted SKUs if they are related to the products listed above, even if the SKU is not specifically listed in this notice. Those omitted SKUs are subject to the terms specified within this document. If you are unsure of a specific SKU, please contact your Honeywell representative for clarification. To support MX3 installations, MX3 accessories will continue to be available until further notice. Due to the longevity of the product line, some of the major components have been discontinued, making it impossible for Honeywell to source the components necessary to manufacture the product. For fixed mount, forklift applications, the Thor vehicle mount computer is an ideal MX3Plus replacement. The Thor offers a wide screen display, a QWERTY keyboard and the advanced Quick Mount Dock for easy replacement. For many hand-held and picking cart applications, the Marathon field computer is a great MX3Plus replacement. The Marathon offers a full screen and QWERTY keyboard along with a vehicle dock and extended life batteries.
