2 The new SERIES 200 the innovation for hazardous areas The first sunlight-readable 7" colour display with touch screen technology in widescreen format The new SERIES 200 is designed to meet the requirements of modern process control and visualization at machine-level: it combines rugged and compact design with cutting-edge widescreen technology, and is suitable for a wide range of applications worldwide. The 7" widescreen display provides brilliant colours, high brightness and contrast ratio, thus ensuring optimal readability of all processes and operations. The touch screen technology makes the SERIES 200 as easy to use as a smartphone, and allows simplified process / PLC control applications. 3 The new SERIES 200 meets the highest usability requirements for operator interfaces: its rugged and compact design makes it the ideal solution for process control and visualisation at machine-level (e.g. stirring units, compressors), or for harsh and demanding environments, e.g. oil rigs or tank farms. This innovative, extremely rugged and seawater resistant operator interface meets IP66 standard, and is suitable for applications at temperatures ranging between -40 C up to +65 C. 4 Versatile solution for hazardous area applications, Zone 1 / 2 / 21 / 22, from -40 C up to +65 C Our new SERIES 200 is suitable for a wide range of hazardous area applications across different industries (Zone 1 / 2 / 21 / 22). It is the ideal solution for process control and visualization at machine-level (e.g. stirring machines, compressors, separators, centrifuges, etc.), or for tank farm automation. The innovative SERIES 200 has the same cut-out dimensions as its predecessor, the FALCON series, yet a superior rugged design, and a wide temperature range from -40 C up to +65 C. Suitable for different applications worldwide, the SERIES 200 is available as AC or DC version, and will soon be certified according to ATEX, IECEx, NEC, TR, CSA, KGS, and INMETRO (certifications in process). Brilliant colour 7" widescreen display The panel-mount modules with integrated 7" widescreen colour display are the first to visualize process data in modern 800 x 400 WVGA resolution. Our high-grade, sunlight-readable displays ensure best image quality and readability in both indoor and outdoor applications. All displays are equipped with easy-to-use, capacitive touch screen with hard-glass protected front for enhanced screen protection. Rugged and compact product design The SERIES 200 stands out for its innovative, rugged design, with heavy-duty, metal-framed touch screen and hard-glass protected front. In addition, it is possible to connect a matrix keyboard with up to 32 function keys (in stainless steel, or plastic) thus providing operators and users with a versatile HMI solution with a high level of reliability and maintainability. Thanks to the intelligent rugged and compact design, the new SERIES 200 is mechanically compatible with its predecessor, the FALCON series. Modern data communications and options The SERIES 200 meets all the requirements of modern data communications: it provides explosion-proof Ethernet ports for copper or fiber optic connections, and serial ports for RS-422 / -485 communications; a WLAN module is optionally available. Any other devices, such as power supplies or Fieldbus isolators have been intentionally omitted. Two USB ports allow for the connection of additional devices, or to establish connection with the host. Optionally, it is also possible to interface barcode scanners, or RFID readers to the SERIES 200. SPSPlusWIN, or open operating system By default, the SERIES 200 comes without an operating system. Optionally, it is available with pre-installed Windows Embedded Compact 7, and SPSPlus Runtime including many standard features, such as multi-language support, EXCEL import/export function, or recipe management. If you prefer to have other software packages installed, we will help you compile and install the application software. The new ET-/MT-208 HMIs have been designed to fit seamlessly into the existing cut-outs of our tried and trusted FALCON HMIs (ET-/MT-65, and ET-125 with adapter frame).
