String Number Needs to be unique to type Numbers UUID: Universally Unique Identifier Represent Data Type (and Service Type) Used in Advertisements (for services) and Characteristics Numbers 16-bit numbers are used for standard things Maintained by the Bluetooth SIG Custom things can use a (mostly random) 128-bit number
