6 MANTA Deployment Requirements In order to improve the operating performance and lifespan of the MANTA unit, please observe the following points. Rapid Mobile Deployment MANTA System MANTA is designed to allow rapid deployment from a vehicle. MANTA should be used with speed bumps to allow vehicles to pass over the system at the preferred speed 6-10km/h. An umbilical cable protector is needed to stop the cable being damaged by vehicles passing over cable. MANTA should be cleaned at least once a day if deployed in hot and dusty regions. The correct power source should be used as per instruction manual. Fixed Deployment MANTA System MANTA can also be used for fixed deployment situations. For fixed deployment, system requires an authorised survey to be carried out. MANTA should be used with speed bumps to allow vehicles to pass over the system at the preferred speed 6-10km/h. An umbilical cable protector is needed to stop the cable being damaged by vehicles passing over cable. Umbilical can be placed in a duct under the ground allowing the cable to reach the Power Supply Unit. If fixed on the ground in hot climates, system requires a cooling air conditioning cable to keep the unit s ambient temperature at optimal levels, an awning should also be used to stop direct sunlight shining onto the system. MANTA should be cleaned at least once a day if deployed in hot and dusty regions. The correct power source should be used as per instruction manual.
