1 Service catalog Sirris IT This catalog contains all IT related material obtained and serviced by the IT department of Sirris. The lifespan of the material is 36 months for laptops and 24 months for smartphones. The installed procedures will be used to replace the material at the end of the lifespan. All IT material should be obtained via the IT service. In case of special needs the manager of the department should take contact with the IT service to discuss the needs and to translate them into services and material. 3 1 Hardware 1.1 Laptops The hardware will vary over time, new versions of processors and machines will become available after testing and approval of the IT service Windows machines All new windows laptops will be delivered with Windows 10 Professional OS (in English) Windows is the standard OS used by all Sirris employees, all offered services and solutions will be based on this OS. 5 1.1.3 Apple computers All Apple computers will be delivered with OSX (installed version), dual boot is not supported and not allowed. OSX is not the standard operating system used by Sirris colleagues, not all software is available for this OS, Office will be a lighter version as on the Windows machines.
