4 StorageCraft Cloud Backup StorageCraft Cloud Backup is a web-based backup and recovery tool for SaaS applications such as Microsoft Office 365 and G Suite by Google Cloud (G Suite). The flexible, easy-to-use interface is available in the StorageCraft Partner Portal. You can quickly recover a file, a folder, or an entire backup in its original format. You can restore back to the original cloud location; or export and download individual or bulk items to your computer. Cloud Backup does not require an agent or other StorageCraft products to protect or restore your critical SaaS application data. 5 Known Issues Fixed Issues StorageCraft Cloud Backup StorageCraft Cloud Backup (June 15, 2017) Enhancements Added support so Microsoft Azure can now be used as a backup target. Fixed Issues Fixed an issue so that partial backups are more accurately reported. StorageCraft Cloud Backup (March 17, 2017) Enhancements Added functionality to back up G Suite by Google Cloud. The process for using the Cloud Backup user interface with G Suite is the same as for Office 365. See Configure Cloud Backup for G Suite for additional details. Known Issues Bulk restore by query is not currently working. Cloud Backup does not currently restore "Google Site" information. Cloud Backup currently restores only one type of item ( , contacts, documents, etc.) per backup attempt. StorageCraft Cloud Backup (December 1, 2016) Known Issues (Office 365) If the Admin User does not have the Global Admin role in Office 365, check marking "Use the administrative account as a site administrator for OneDrive" won't have any effect. You must have the Global Amin role to use this account as a OneDrive administrator. Deleted items (items in the Microsoft Office 365 Deleted folder) backed up with StorageCraft Cloud Backup, will be restored to the Deleted folder instead of into the folder you specified during the restore process. Restore does not currently show the target user in the reports. Safari Mobile browser is not supported in this release. 2 Creating and Configuring Cloud Backup Accounts Creating and configuring Cloud Backup accounts includes setup steps or processes required in the SaaS applications (Office 2017 StorageCraft Technology Corporation StorageCraft Support Center Page 5 of 28

6 365, Google G Suite, and Microsoft Azure for example) and steps or processes required in the StorageCraft Partner Portal. This page describes how to create a StorageCraft Cloud Backup account. The page also contains links to other configuration description pages: Configuring Microsoft Office 365 Adding Office 365 Services to Cloud Backup Accounts Adding G Suite Services to Cloud Backup Accounts Adding Azure to Cloud Backup Accounts Create a New StorageCraft Cloud Backup Account This section describes how to set up your Cloud Backup account in the StorageCraft Partner Portal. StorageCraft Cloud Backup 1. Login to the Partner Portal. 2. Click Managed Service Providers (MSP) in the Navigation pane. 3. Click Cloud Backup in the Managed Service Providers (MSP) submenu. 4. Click the Accounts tab. 5. Click Add Account. 6. Enter the name for the account you want to create. By default your data is stored in StorageCraft's Amazon S3 storage. If you want to use an Azure account instead of S3, check the "Use Your Own Azure Account" box. See Adding Azure Storage to Cloud Backup for additional information. 7. Click Continue. 8. Click OK in the Success message dialog box. See Add Office 365 Service to Cloud Backup Accounts for additional Office 365 configuration information. 8 Other Important Information Billing is based on "seats" which refers to active mailboxes selected for backup. There is no additional charge to include OneDrive or SharePoint. Cloud backup does not have retention settings. All backups (approximately every 8 hours) are stored indefinitely. The default option for Cloud Backup uses StorageCraft's Amazon S3 storage. There is no quota limit or excess data charge. See G Suite for Google specific limitations. Overview This high-level overview includes all the steps required to use Cloud Backup for Office 365. In Office Configure your Microsoft Office 365 account (the hyperlink takes you to more detailed instructions). - Set up impersonation rights - Set up Site Collection administrator In the StorageCraft Partner Portal 2. Create a StorageCraft Cloud Backup account 3. Add Services (Providers). You must add services before doing other Cloud Backup operations. Important: Office 365 must be correctly configured before proceeding. 4. Configure Services and start backups. 5. Use Search options to find users and Restore data. 6. Use the Accounts Summary, Reports, Search, etc. to monitor your Cloud Backups. 7. Configure Settings to add new users or add addresses to receive warnings and notification. Preparing Office 365 for StorageCraft Cloud Backup Important: You must configure Microsoft Office 365 before you attempt to do your first StorageCraft Cloud Backup for Office 365. This section describes setting up impersonation rights and the setting up the Sharepoint site collection administrator StorageCraft Technology Corporation StorageCraft Support Center Page 8 of 28

9 Setting up Impersonation Rights The administrator account for Office 365 requires impersonation rights. Impersonation allows the admin account to access and backup the data for each individual user. 1. Log in to Office 365 as administrator at 2. Click Admin. 3. Click Exchange under the Admin centers section. 4. Select admin roles under the permissions section. 5. Double click Discovery Management to display the list of selections. 6. Click + (under Roles) to display the roles. 7. Click ApplicationImpersonation. 8. Click Add. 9. Click OK. 10. Click + (under Members) to display the list of names. 11. Select the name of the administrator account to be used in StorageCraft Cloud Backup. 12. Click Add. 13. Click OK. 14. Click Save. This completes the impersonation rights setup for the Office 365 administrator. Setting up the SharePoint Site Collection Administrator You need to add the Cloud Backup administrator to the Site Collection administrators group. Important: Do this from the global administrator or the SharePoint admin section in Office 365. Complete the process below for each SharePoint URL to be protected. 1. Log in as administrator to Office 365 at 2. Click Admin. This is the tab at the top of the Office 365 administration center. 3. Click SharePoint in Admin centers. 4. Check the box next to the top SharePoint URL you want to backup. 5. Click Owners. 6. Click Manage Administrators. 7. In the Site Collection Administrators field, enter the name of the administrator account. Use the StorageCraft Cloud backup account (the same administrator that received impersonation rights). 8. Click Check Names to add the name to the list. 9. Verify the selected name, then click OK to finalize the Site Collection administrator selection. 10. Repeat steps 4 through 9 for each SharePoint URL/site under the top SharePoint URL that contains user data you want to protect. Your OneDrive and SharePoint data will be included in your next backup. 2.2 Add Office 365 Service to Cloud Backup Accounts Prerequisite: You must have an existing Cloud Backup account. Office 365 must be correctly configured. If you haven't created your Cloud Backup account see Create a New Cloud Backup Account. If you haven't configured your Office 365 account see Configuring Office 365 for StorageCraft Cloud Backup. 1. Click the Accounts tab in the Cloud Backup section of the Partner Portal. 2. Under the Accounts heading, click the name of the account you want to configure. 3. Click the Services tab to display available and added services. If a service hasn t been selected, "No Providers Have Been Added" is displayed in the drop down StorageCraft Technology Corporation StorageCraft Support Center Page 9 of 28

10 For this example we'll use Office 365 as the selected service. 4. Click Add Office 365 to display the credentials entry dialog. Note: If you need to update or re-enter your Office 365 Admin password, click the gear next to Admin user: in the Cloud Backup Services dialog. 5. Enter the address for the Office 365 Admin. Important: You must use the credentials for the Site Collection Administrator account you configured in Office 365. This is also the same account you configured for impersonation. 6. Enter the password for the Office 365 Admin. 7. Click Save. Configure Services Prerequisite: You must add your Office 365 service to your Cloud Backup account before continuing. Note: The services screen defaults to the first account. If more than one service exists, use the dropdown list to select the account you want StorageCraft Technology Corporation StorageCraft Support Center Page 10 of 28

11 Select Services StorageCraft Cloud Backup 1. Configure Admin User and Select Service options in the Microsoft Office 365 dialog window: Admin User Configuration: - Click on the gear next to "SharePoint url" and enter the top level SharePoint URL found in the Office 365 SharePoint admin center. - Select whether to allow the addition of the administrative account as a site administrator for OneDrive. Important: If this option is not selected, OneDrive data won't be backed up. If the Admin User does not have the Global Admin role in Office 365, check marking "Use the administrative account as a site administrator for OneDrive" won't have any effect. You must have the Global Admin role to use this account as a OneDrive administrator. - Automatically add new Microsoft Office 365 users, if all Office 365 users will be protected. Select Services (check the boxes to select the services): - Office 365 Calendar - Office 365 Contact - Office 365 Mail - Office 365 OneDrive - Office 365 SharePoint 2. Click Save to retain changes. Select Users for Backup 1. Select (check the box) for each Office 365 user you want to backup. 2. Select the Office 365 user name to display restore user options. 3. Click Restore User to initiate a restore. View User Details Highlight an Office 365 user in the Users screen to display the related Most Recent Scan information. The Most Recent Scans screen displays: The Name of the Office 365 application The Date when the scan was completed The Status of scan (Success or Failure). 2.3 Add G Suite Services to Cloud Backup Accounts This page describes how to use StorageCraft Cloud Backup to back up and restore G Suite by Google Cloud (G Suite). Note: If you need instructions for configuring Cloud Backup for Office 365 look here. If you need instructions for configuring Cloud Backup for Azure look here. Configuring Cloud Backup for G Suite is a simple process. The steps below describe everything you need to know to get up and running. Monitor and manage your G Suite backups in the StorageCraft Partner Portal with the same process as for Office 365. Important: StorageCraft has no quota limits or excess data charge. However, Google G Suite has download and upload bandwidth limitations that may affect your backups. See G Suite Bandwidth Limitations for additional information. The configuration process consists of 4 main parts: Login to Google as a G Suite Domain Administrator 2017 StorageCraft Technology Corporation StorageCraft Support Center Page 11 of 28

12 Create a new StorageCraft Cloud Backup Account (in the Partner Portal if you don't already have one). Add services in Cloud Backup (add the G Suite service to your Cloud Backup account). Configure G Suite Admin Credentials and Select Users for Backup. Note: StorageCraft Cloud Backup for G Suite doesn't currently back up Google Sites. StorageCraft Cloud Backup Login to Google as a G Suite Domain Administrator 1. Go to google.com. 2. Sign into G Suite with your Google credentials (this needs to be a G Suite Domain Administrator). Create Account and add services in the StorageCraft Partner Portal 1. Create a Cloud Backup account in the Partner Portal (if it hasn't already been created). 2. Click Accounts (tab) in the Cloud Backup section of the Partner Portal. 3. Under the Accounts heading, click the name of the account you want to configure. 4. Click Services (tab) to display available and added services. If a service hasn t been selected, "No Providers Have Been Added" is displayed in the drop down. 5. Click Add G Suite. This takes you to the Google marketplace where you can get the StorageCraft Cloud Backup app. Install and Launch App in G Suite 1. Click Install. This displays the Get ready to install dialog. 2. Click Continue. 3. Check the box "I agree to the application's Terms of Service and G Suite Marketplace Terms of Service". 4. Click Accept. -This grants rights that allow Cloud Backup to back up G Suite. 5. Use the slider to disable or enable user notification. To disable, slide left. To enable, slide right. It is enabled by default. 6. Click Next. This displays a screen that tells you where to find the "StorageCraft Cloud Backup" app in the Google account. 7. Click Next. This displays a page where you can "Complete additional setup now". 8. Click Complete additional setup now. This takes you to the login dialog for the StorageCraft Cloud Backup portal. 9. Login with your Partner Portal credentials. This takes you to the "Get Started with StorageCraft Cloud Backup" screen.0 Important: Do NOT click Manage app at this point in the process. 13 Configure G Suite Admin Credentials and Select Users for Backup (In the StorageCraft Partner Portal) Provide the information required to configure services and select users. 1. Select the G Suite Domain (ensure the correct domain is selected). StorageCraft Cloud Backup The G Suite Domain is the domain name (URL) used by the G Suite account. It defaults to the account domain that was used to get to this point in the process. 2. Select the G Suite Admin User. This is the G Suite admin account. Use the address for the G Suite admin account. 3. Select the Cloud Backup account from the drop down list that will be used to back up G-Suite. This is the Cloud Backup customer account you created in the partner portal. 4. Click Save. 5. Configure the Admin User, and Select Service options in the G Suite dialog window: G Suite Configuration - Automatically add new G Suite users, if desired. Select Services (check the boxes to select the services) - Google Calendar - Google Contact - G Mail - Google Docs 6. Select the users to be backed up. Note: By default, users are not selected for backup. You must select which users to back up. 7. 14 2.4 Adding Azure Storage to Cloud Backup StorageCraft Cloud Backup now allows you to backup to your own user defined Azure accounts. StorageCraft Cloud Backup Important: Backing up to your Azure account is only available to new Cloud Backup accounts. Existing Cloud Backup accounts will continue to be backed up to AWS. Your Azure account needs to be set up and working before adding the account to StorageCraft Cloud Backup. You need your Azure Account Name and Azure Access Key to add the Azure storage account to Cloud Backup. Note: If you need instructions for configuring Cloud Backup for Office 365 look here. If you need instructions for configuring Cloud Backup for G Suite look here. Build the Azure Storage Account Headings marked with a red asterisk * (in the image below), require a selection (you must select one option or another) but most options for building your Azure account can be anything you choose. You must select Blob storage for the Account kind. All other selections are up to you. *Name - Enter the name of your storage account. The name is required. Deployment model - Select Resource manager (suggested) or Classic. Account Kind - Select Blob storage (Blob storage is required to work with StorageCraft Cloud Backup). Performance - Select Standard (suggested) or Premium. Replication - Select Locally-redundant storage (LRS) (suggested), or GRS, or ZRS. Access tier - Select Cool (suggested) or Hot. *Secure transfer required (Required) - Select Disabled (suggested) or Enabled. *Subscription (Required) - Select your subscription for billing. *Resource group (Required) - Select "Create New" or "Use Existing" as applicable. *Location (Required) - Select the applicable location. 15 To Add an Azure Storage Account 1. Login to the StorageCraft Partner Portal. 2. Click Managed Service Providers (MSP). 3. Click Cloud Backup. 4. Click the Accounts tab under Cloud Backup (in the right side panel). 5. Click the Accounts + to add a new account. This will display the Add Account dialog window. 6. Enter the Account Name you want to use in Cloud Backup. This can be any name of your choosing. 7. Check the box for "Use Your Own Azure Account". 8. Enter the Account Name (from Azure) into the Azure Account Name field. 9. Enter the Access Key (from Azure) into the Azure Account Key field StorageCraft Technology Corporation StorageCraft Support Center Page 15 of 28

16 Finding the Azure Account Name and Access Key 1. Login to your Azure Account. 2. Select All resources. 3. Click Access keys under the Settings section of the resources page. This will display the Azure Access keys information panel on the right side of your screen. 4. Locate the applicable Storage account name. Add this name to the Azure Account Name field when you create your Azure Cloud Backup account. 5. Locate the applicable Access key in the Default keys section. Add this key to the Azure Account Key field when you create your Azure Cloud Backup account. Azure Backup Summary The Summary dialog window shows the amount of free storage you have (in the blue heading) and same summary data for Azure as it does for other storage targets StorageCraft Technology Corporation StorageCraft Support Center Page 16 of 28

17 Azure Settings The Cloud Backup settings for Azure allow you to: Add Cloud Backup users so they can backup to Azure accounts. Define recipients for warnings and notifications (use commas or semicolons between multiple names). Edit the Cloud Backup Azure Account Key for the currently selected Azure account. 3 Accounts Summary To view the accounts summary page, click the Summary tab StorageCraft Technology Corporation StorageCraft Support Center Page 17 of 28

18 Summary Data StorageCraft Cloud Backup The Summary screen displays the following information for each service (Provider): Accounts - this is a count of how many services (accounts for each service) that are configured for backup. In the example above, there is 1 Office 365 and 1 G Suite account for a total of 2 in the accounts column. Seats - this is a count of how many users are actually being backed up. These are the users that have been "checked" (selected by checking the box next to their name) in the user's list. Users - this is the count of all the users whether they are being backed up or not. Account Scan Status Success - Success indicates that all backups worked and no issues were encountered. Partial - Partial indicates that some of the files/data were backed up, but not everything. Failure - Failure indicates that StorageCraft was unable to backup any data. Skipped - Skipped indicates that the scheduled backup did not run. In Progress - The backup is currently happening. Graphical Data The information in the table is also shown in circular graphs at the bottom of the screen. The graphical data includes seats for each service type and space used by each item type. Seats for Each Service Type The circle graph on the left shows how many seats you have for each service. This specific example is for Office 365. The same type of graph will be shown for applicable G Suite information. Space Used by Item Type The circle graph on the right shows how much space is used by each item type. The item types are: Documents Contacts Events Each graph component separates so you can see the breakdown more clearly. This example shows the Space Used by Item Type. 4 View Reports To view the Reports page, click the accounts Reports tab. The Reports page has a set of vertical tabs (Backup, Restore, Export, and Audit). Click a tab to see the applicable detailed reports. 19 Note: The examples on this page are for Office 365 but the user interface functionality also applies to G Suite and Azure. Backup The Backup page shows Started and Ended dates, and Status of the backups. Status options include: Completed (equivalent of Success in the Summary Data screen). Partial Failure Skipped In Progress Click the Details button in the row of a specific backup to see the Account details and User Log for that backup. Note: The search results show the file creation date. The Start and End date range for a report show when each file was last backed up. In some cases, the date shown for a specific file is outside the search range. This is not an error. Restore The Restore page shows Start and End dates, Object Type, Target User, Details, and Status of the backups StorageCraft Technology Corporation StorageCraft Support Center Page 19 of 28

20 Click Show in the Details column to see more details and options. StorageCraft Cloud Backup Important: This only allows you to view the status of restored items. You need to Restore items via the Search menu. Important: There may be a delay between when a restore is finished (with Completed status) in StorageCraft Cloud Backup for Office 365 until the data actually shows up live in Office 365. You may need to refresh the service. The restored object(s) are located under the restore folder in the folder structure where the originial object existed. You may need to click the dropdown symbol to see the structure. Export The Export page lists the selection of Exported objects (zipped and ready to be downloaded to your computer). It shows Start and End dates, and Status for each of the Exports. Click Download to save the exported zip file to your computer. Click Delete to remove the exported zip file from the Export list. Audit The Audit page shows which users have been active and what they are doing. The page displays the User address, the Action they performed (such as a search), and the Date of the action. 21 5 Search and Restore Important: You can only restore to the same type SaaS app from which you backed up. In other words you can't restore a G Suite backup to an Office 365 account. Likewise you can't restore from an Office 365 backup to a G Suite account. Search Page Functions include General Search (enter a search term and click Search. This populates the Results window.) Advanced Search (click Advanced Search to display or hide advanced options.) Restore or Export Bulk or Individual items displayed in the Results window. Important: If you want to search for an exact string, use quote marks around the string. For example, "search for this exact string". If you do not use the quote marks, the search returns items with any of the search terms. To use the search or restore functionality, click the accounts Search tab. To Complete a General Search 1. Enter your search terms in the search field. Leaving the field blank searches for all items. 2. Click Search StorageCraft Technology Corporation StorageCraft Support Center Page 21 of 28

22 To Complete an Advanced Search You can use any combination of these search features to filter your results. Filter by User The Filter by User option locates all the items owned by the selected user. It also locates anything in the selected user's mailbox. Filter by Collection A collection is a type of category. The available collections are based on the type of data being backed up. For example, when you back up , some of the collections include the Inbox and Sent Items. Collections can also include folders. 1. Click Advanced Search to display the Advanced Search options (if they aren't already displayed). 2. Select the Service Type (provider) from the dropdown list. This populates the Results window. 3. Enter the Date Range (if you want to filter by date). 4. Select the Object Type (Doc, , etc.) from the dropdown list if you want to filter by object type. 5. Select user. 6. Select the collection. Results and Details The Results window displays a list of items found during a search. It includes the item Type ( , for example), the creation Date of the file that was backed up, the Title of the backed up item, and an Excerpt. You can select multiple items for bulk Restore or Export in the Results window. Click on any of the items in the Results window to display the Details window. You can also select a single item to Restore or Download. Bulk Restore or Export You can initiate Bulk restores or exports in the Results window Important: The Export option for Bulk Actions only zips the objects together. It doesn't automatically download them. This option lists each export in the Reports > Exports window. 23 1. Check the box next to items you want to include in the bulk actions. 2. Click Bulk Action. 3. (Optional) Click Restore to restore the selected items to your Office 365, G Suite, or Azure accounts. This displays the Restore Item options screen. 4. (Optional) Click Export to zip the selected items so they can be downloaded to your computer. Single Item Restore or Download 1. Highlight the item you want to restore in the Results window. This displays the Details window for that item. 2. (Optional) Click Restore to restore the item to your Office 365, G Suite, or Azure account. This displays the Restore Item options screen. 3. (Optional) Click Download to download the item to your computer. Note: If Restore or Download is selected here, only the object currently highlighted will be restored or downloaded. Even if you have multiple items checked, it still only takes action on the current object. See the Restore User page to restore a complete service on a per-user basis. Restore Items The Restore Items screen lets you select where you want to restore your items. You can specify the provider and user for the restore location. You can also select Restore sharing permissions, whether to maintain folder structure or whether to maintain label structure. This screen also lets you select the Destination folder. The Destination folder is the name of the folder where the data will be stored. 26 7 Restore User These examples show Office 365, but the functionality and process (i.e. using the Partner portal user interface) for G Suite or Azure user restoration are the same. The Restore User button lets you restore a complete service on a per-user basis. When you restore a user, any item owned by the user (such as files and folders, and anything in their mailbox) will be restored. To Restore a user 1. In the Accounts page click the Services tab. 2. Select the user from the user's panel. 3. Click Restore User. 4. Select the Provider Destination from the dropdown list. You can restore to the same owner (Provider User Destination) or to a different owner. 5. Type in the User Destination name. After typing the first few characters the list of matching options is displayed. 6. Select the Date of the backup to restore. 7. Select (check) the services to restore. 8. 27 8 Configure Settings StorageCraft Cloud Backup Settings allow you to define recipients for warnings and notifications. Note: You can also Create New Users under the Cloud Backup > Accounts > Settings tab. Warnings and Notifications Warnings and notifications contain information about: Wrong passwords Trials ending Impersonation failure Add Recipients recipients can be added in two places: At the partner (MSP) level (Cloud Backup > Settings tab) At the account/customer level (Cloud Backup > Accounts > Settings tab) Note: The process for adding recipients is the same for both but is done from different screens. To add recipients for warnings and notifications 1. (For the partner/msp level) Click the Settings tab in the main window. (For account/customer level) Click the Accounts tab, then click the Settings tab in the Accounts window. 2. Enter a single address or multiple addresses. Use commas or semicolons to separate multiple addresses. 3. Click Save Settings to store your selections. Create New User Note: The users created here have full admin rights to everything inside the currently selected Cloud User. 1. Select the Account in the Accounts Panel where you want to create the new user. 2. Click the Settings tab. 3. Click Add User.
