11 Using the SUM function 38, 39, 40 To know how to use the SUM function in MS Excel worksheets Explain to learners about the SUM function. Show them how to apply the SUM function. Learners may follow the step-by-step instructions given by their teacher to perform an addition task using the SUM function. use the SUM function in MS Excel worksheets. - Sum - Add up - Cells - Addition sign Remind the learners to always insert the = sign before the word SUM in the formula bar. They may do it in groups, print and present the printouts to the class. Inserting Charts 41, 42, 43, 44 To know how to insert charts in MS Excel worksheets Show learners how to convert a table into a chart. Guide them through the creation of the different types of charts available. Remind them on the use of a legend in case of more than one set of data in a chart. Learners may observe the different types of charts available in the Insert tab. They can place the cursor on each and every one of them to get a brief description of the chart, and when to use it.
