1 How to Join Skype Meetings Scroll through to find the device you are using: Windows, Skype App, Mac or iphone. Windows 1. Open the / calendar request that you received from your host and select the Join Skype Meeting link. 2. The following popup will appear, select join the meeting using the Skype for Business (full audio and video experience),
2 This will open the Skype app and join you to the meeting, you will be presented with the following screen where you can wait for other participants to join: Skype Web App 1. Open the / calendar request that you received from your host and select the Meeting URL link or click the Try Skype Web App button. 2. You will be brought to the following page.
3 3. Once you have selected the Join the meeting button you will be presented with the following plugin download, please select Run and allow the plugin to install. 4. Once the plugin installs the webpage will reload and you will have a Join now button 5. Select the Join now button and you will be presented with the following prompt to allow the plugin access to run on your computer, Please select Allow
4 6. After you have selected the Allow button, you will be entered into the meeting and the following screen will be displayed. Note: Depending on your computer settings, you may get the following prompt asking to allow access to the Microsoft Lync Web App Plug-in through the firewall, please do so and select Allow
5 Mac 1. Open the invite you received via Outlook for Mac or Outlook Web App and click the Join online meeting button if you have Skype installed or Try Skype Web App button if you are a guest. Example invite: NOTE: If Safari is not your default broswer. Copy the Join online meeting link and paste into Safari. This will launch the Skype for Business app. Safari is currently the only web broswer that integrates with the Skype for Business App.
6 2. Proceed to Section A if you clicked Join online meeting or Section B if you clicked Try Skype Web App Section A: 1. If you clicked the Join online meeting button skype will open to the following screen, from this screen select Use Skype for Business (full audio and video experience) : 2. Once you have selected to Join via Use Skype for Business (full audio and video experience) you will be presented with the following screen. You are now in the meeting and will be able to hear and respond to other participants of the meeting. Section B: 1. If you clicked the Try Skype Web App button, a webpage will open with the following screen:
7 2. From this screen you will need to enter login details if you have a skype for business account or select Sign in here instead beside Are you a guest to this meeting? 3. If you are a guest and selected Sign in here instead you will be presented with a screen asking you to input a name that will be used as your Display name. 4. Once you have entered your login info or a Display name, you will be presented with the following screen stating Cookies are not enabled. 5. To enable Cookies in Safari please follow the below, if your using a different browser the instructions may be different: 1. Select Safari (In the top left of the screen) -> Preferences -> Privacy 2. Under Cookies and Website data select Always Allow 6. Once you have changed the above please refresh the Lync Web App page, you can do this by pressing F5 on your keyboard. 7. Once you have refreshed the page you will be presented with the following prompt, please select Allow to grant access to the Lync Web App plugin, this will only grant access once unless you select the Always allow the plugin for this domain checkbox.
8 8. You will then also be asked to let the plugin run in the following prompt, 9. Once you have selected Trust on the above prompt you will be entered into the meeting and will be presented with the following screen.
9 iphone 1. Download the Skype for Business app from Apple App Store. 2. Open Skype for Business from the iphone home screen. 3. Once you have the app open you will need to enter your address and password for your JOEY address. 4. While the app is logging in you will get the following screen.
10 5. Once signed in you will get the following screen, from this screen you can join upcoming meetings, as well as select the keypad, calendar, and contacts in the top right of the screen. 6. From the meetings screen you can see meetings which you have accepted however you cannot book new meetings for future times.
11 7. If you would like to start a meeting from within the app with an individual person you can select the Meetings button in the top right corner of the app and then click the Meet now button from here you will be asked to select a new Contact and the meeting will start.
