4 The role of Company Administrator As the Company Administrator for AT&T Business Center, you play an important role. You enable others in your company to use Business Center. You set up other users at your company. You determine which tools each user has access to. You activate and deactivate users, as needed. You establish user groups to simplify your administrative work AT&T Intellectual Property. All rights reserved. 5 Getting started From the AT&T Business Center homepage:. On the black bar, click Manage. 2. From the Managedropdown list, choose Account. 3. From the Account dropdown list, choose Company Profile AT&T Intellectual Property. All rights reserved. 6 The Profile tab Five tabs appear, beginning with your company s Profile tab.. Your company s profile includes company information, contract information, and billing information AT&T Intellectual Property. All rights reserved. 7 The Servicestab Your company s services are listed in rows, and the tools associated with each service are listed on buttons to the right.. 8 The Widgets & Tool tab On this tab, your widgets appear as tiles and take you to your tools with one click. To filter the widgets you see, click Off.. You can change to a list view of your tools by clicking the List icon. After turning filters On, you can filter the widgets you see by tool category such as Ordering & Status or Account & Billing or by tool provisioning status AT&T Intellectual Property. 9 The Users tab On this tab, users are listed on the tiles. You can change to a list view if you prefer. Note that you can sort by first or last name.. Click any user s tile to see his or her profile. After turning filters On, you can filter the users by their AT&T Business Center role or their user status AT&T Intellectual Property. 10 The User Groups tab On this tab, user groups are listed. More on user groups is in a later section.. You can add users to a group by clicking its dropdown menu and choosing Add users. You could also choose Delete group from this menu. Users in the All Access group have access to all tools and functions. This is the default AT&T Intellectual Property. All rights reserved. 13 Adding a new user (2 of 5). The Create New User screen appears. Enter the new user s name and address in the indicated fields. 2. If the new user is a Company Administrator, check the box Make this user a company administrator. 3. If you wish to link this user to an existing AT&T BusinessDirect user name, click Yes. A dropdown menu will appear from which you will choose the existing user name. Otherwise, click No. 4. Click Continue AT&T Intellectual Property. All rights reserved. Select one of the radio buttons: To assign the user to the group with all functional access and permissions, choose All Access Group. To assign the user to your group, click Company s User Groups. 3. 16 Adding a new user (5 of 5). A success message appears, indicating that you successfully added the user. 2. A pop-up window also appears, enabling you to provision applications. 3. Provisioning status appears at right. If the status of any application is Not Added, click its drop-down arrow to continue with provisioning. Follow the on-screen prompts to provision the company for the application; the provisioning steps are different for the different applications. 4. 17 Deactivating a user To deactivate a user, go to that user s profile. From the Actions dropdown menu, choose Deactivate user. You can reactivate the user from the same dropdown menu AT&T Intellectual Property. All rights reserved. 18 Adding a user group The primary reason for establishing user groups is to simplify the assignment of services and tools to users as you add those users AT&T Intellectual Property. 19 Adding a user group ( of 5) When you add a user to a user group, the user is automatically assigned the same services, tools, and permissions as the others in the group. From the company profile:. Click the User Groups tab. 2. The User Groups screen appears, listing all your user groups. From the Actions dropdown menu, choose Create user group. 3. 20 Adding a user group (2 of 5). The Create User Group screen appears. Give the user group a name and, optionally, a description. 2. Click Continue. The screen expands to show the Functions section. 3. Choose the functions you want to assign to this group by clicking their checkboxes. 4. Click Continue AT&T Intellectual Property. To add all users to the group, click the Select All checkbox. 3. To add only specific users, click their checkboxes. 4. When you are ready, click Add users to group AT&T Intellectual Property. 23 Adding a user group (5 of 5). A pop-up window tells you that you are about to add users to a custom group. Click Continue. 2. The User Group screen appears again, along with a success message.. 3. Note that the Users tab is selected and the users in the group are listed. 4. To see the company profile again, click Return to Company Profile AT&T Intellectual Property. All rights reserved. 24 Viewing a user group From the group profile, you can select from three tabs. For example, you can select the Permissions tab. The tools and widgets for that group will be listed. From the User Groups tab, to view a user group, select it from the list. To see the details behind any tool or widget, click its dropdown arrow. 26 Provisioning applications for your users Provisioning an application means providing the information needed for the application to perform tasks. For example, to provision the Map and Maintenance application, you would select your location-specific inventory from dropdown menus AT&T Intellectual Property. All rights reserved. 27 Provisioning applications. To provision applications for individual users, from the company profile, go to the Users tab.. 2. Select the user of interest. 3. From the user s page, choose the Widgets and Tools tab. 4. When the screen refreshes, click Provision applications. Select the application of interest and follow the on-screen prompts; the provisioning steps are different for the different applications.
