5 Problems fixed in the Integrated Management- Voice Announcement Manager stand-alone application Voice Announcement Manager stand-alone application Voice Announcement Manager (VAM) was part of the Site Administration offer. It is now a stand-alone application. The modifications are listed in the table in this document. This application includes: l Table 1: Changes delivered to Integrated Management Voice Announcement Manager stand-alone applicaton. on page 2 Product Support Notices Some problems are also documented as Product Support Notices (PSN). The PSN number defines the related document and appears in the Problem column in the tables. To read the PSN description online: 1. Go to the Avaya support site at 2. Problems in Voice Announcement Manager Support for CM 6.0 on Voice Announcement Manager. In the previous releases, the Copy/Delete window was taking a long time to open. In the previous releases, any operation on VAL board using an SFTP file transfer threw an exception. In the previous releases, while trying to add announcements on CM from Voice Announcement Manager, the Browse button was not displaying any extension if 'enb-ext' call type entry was present in the dial plan. In the previous releases, Voice Announcement Manager did not support AES encryption used in 'asg keylogin' for CM 6.0. Solution Voice Announcement Manager now supports CM 6.0. This has been fixed in this release. The waiting time for the opening of the Copy/Delete window is very little. This has been fixed in this release. The code has been suitably modified so that an operation on the VAL board, using an SFTP file transfer, does not throw an exception. The Browse button in Voice Announcement Manager now displays the announcements for the enb-ext type dial plan ranges. Voice Announcement Manager now supports ASG response generation with AES encryption used in 'asg keylogin' for CM 6.0 ( for challenge length > 7). Pack Installation of the Voice Announcement Manager stand-alone application Please read the procedure below before you download the VAM stand-alone application. 1. Log in as "administrator" on the windows PC where the product resides. If you are not logged in as "administrator", then close this file and log in again as "adminstrator." Open a windows browser and point to this page." 2. Close all applications (including VAM). 3. Click the link to download VAM Standalone Installer.exe. 4. This stand alone installer can be used for fresh installation of VAM. After fresh Install, the VAM functionality available is that of VAM 5.2 SP4. 7 Installation of the Voice Announcement Manager stand-alone application Note: Note: The installer also provides the user the ability to upgrade if VAM 5.2 was previously installed using the Admin Tools CD. Uninstalling the Voice Announcement Manager stand-alone application 1. Open Add/Remove programs from the control panel 2. There is an entry present for VAM stand-alone application. 3. Select Remove option and follow the instructions on each screen. Note: Note: Installing Voice Annoucement Manager(VAM) using Site Administration 5.2 or any version of Service Pack of the same release, creates an entry called 'Avaya Integrated Management Administration Tools in the control panel. When you upgrade 'VAM' using the VAM stand-alone installer, it creates an additional entry called 'VAM' in the control panel with the updated package in the same location. On uninstalling Admin Tools, the system also removes the package of 'VAM Stand-alone application, but the entry remains in the control panel. It is unusable. For a flawless uninstallation, Avaya recommends that you uninstall VAM before you uninstall Site Administration. Integrated Management Voice Announcement Manager stand-alone application February
