This error is being caused by an old solution, LO51197, that is no longer applicable to CA XCOM for z/os. The transfer terminates successfully on the partner side but on the z/os side the following errors may display: XCOMM0780E Txpi 228: Select exception condition for socket 0 XCOMM0783E CONFIRM REQUEST ENDED DUE TO TCP/IP ERROR or XCOMM0780E Txpi 215: Socket send error return value = 140 XCOMM0805I TCP/IP CONNECTION ENDED WITH IP= Note: A re-run of the transfer request is usually successful. On rare occasions a transfer may show an error on the z/os side but terminate correctly on the partner side. The discrepancy between z/os and the partner may cause operational problems. After 5 minutes the transfer terminates and the following message is displayed: XCOMM0780E Txpi 226: Select timed out with no data available Transfers that require more than 5 minutes will fail.
