Today, InfoPrint Solutions Company, a Ricoh-IBM joint venture, is announcing new pricing terms and conditions for InfoPrint Manager for AIX and InfoPrint Manager for Windows to better reflect how our clients use these products in both production and nonproduction environments. This announcement continues InfoPrint's ongoing strategy to encourage coexistence of InfoPrint Manager for print and job management with its InfoPrint ProcessDirector automated workflow management technology and products. The combination of InfoPrint workflow technology with traditional InfoPrint Manager print and job management can bring your production print environment to a whole new level of productivity and reduced cost of operation. As part of this strategy, InfoPrint now announces the addition of Restricted Licensing, a feature that allows for usage in test, development, and high availability environments. This matches the Restricted Licensing features that were announced InfoPrint is a registered trademark of Ricoh Co., Ltd. 1

2 previously for InfoPrint ProcessDirector, making the pricing terms and conditions consistent for the two complementary products. The AFP TM Unicode Font PRPQ (8A8090, 5799-GJJ) is required when the SAP product feature is used in Unicode mode. Client hardware requirements We recommend this minimum Windows configuration for all InfoPrint clients: 800 MHz Pentium III processor 256 MB RAM, or higher CD-ROM drive 10 MB available hard disk space, or higher LAN connection (either Ethernet or token-ring ) Access to at least one InfoPrint Manager server (either on a local system or remotely over a LAN) To communicate with other systems across a LAN (including InfoPrint Manager server systems), you must install a suitable token-ring, Ethernet, or FDDI adapter card and connect the appropriate cabling. Printer attachment requirements IBM System p : You need one or more IBM 4033 LAN Connections for Printers and Plotters Models 1 or 3 or IBM 7318 Serial Communications Network Servers if you are connecting more then one parallel-attached printer or two serial-attached printers to one IBM System p server. Each 4033 has one parallel port and one serial port to which you can connect printers. You can connect multiple 4033s to one System p server to accommodate your parallel- and serial-attached printer needs as determined by performance considerations. Each 7318 provides two parallel and sixteen serial ports on the network. 5 InfoPrint Manager for Windows system requirements Server hardware prerequisites The recommended minimum configuration for the InfoPrint Manager server is: 2-way 2.4 GHz system 2 GB RAM Three hard disks with 96 GB total capacity Graphics display Note: InfoPrint Manager can be installed and run on a smaller or slower system, though performance will be impacted. InfoPrint Manager for Windows will run on common PC systems from various manufacturers. To use TCP/IP-attached printers or to communicate with other systems across a LAN, you must install a suitable token-ring, Ethernet, or Fiber Distributed Data Interface (FDDI) adapter card and connect the appropriate cabling. Acceptable network hardware is available from IBM and other vendors. A server is a computer system that executes requested procedures, commands, or applications to one or more user or client devices. Licensing International Program License Agreement including the License Information document and Proof of Entitlement (PoE) govern your use of the program. PoEs are required for all authorized use. This software license includes Software Subscription and Support (also referred to as Software Maintenance). Agreement for Acquisition of Software Maintenance The Agreement for Acquisition of Software Maintenance (Z ) agreement applies for subscription and support (also referred to as Software Maintenance) and does not require customer signatures. These programs are licensed under the International Program License Agreement (IPLA) and the associated Agreement for Acquisition of Software Maintenance, which provide for support with ongoing access to releases and versions of the program. InfoPrint Solutions Company includes one year of Software Subscription and Support (also referred to as Software Maintenance) with the initial license acquisition of each program acquired. The initial period of Software Subscription and Support (also referred to as Software Maintenance) can be extended by the purchase of a renewal option, if available. These programs have a one-time license charge for use of the program and an annual renewable charge for the enhanced support that includes telephone assistance (voice support for defects during normal business hours), as well as access to updates, releases, and versions of the program as long as support is in effect. 12 Program technical support This technical support allows you to obtain assistance (via telephone or electronic means) from InfoPrint Solutions Company for product-specific, task-oriented questions regarding the installation and operation of the program product. Software Subscription and Support (Software Maintenance) also provides you with access to updates, releases, and versions of the program. You will be notified, via announcement letter, of discontinuance of support with 12 months' notice. If you require additional technical support from InfoPrint Solutions Company, including an extension of support beyond the discontinuance date, contact your InfoPrint Solutions Company representative or InfoPrint Solutions Company Partner. This extension may be available for a fee. Money-back guarantee If for any reason you are dissatisfied with the program and you are the original licensee, you may obtain a refund of the amount you paid for it, if within 30 days of your invoice date you return the program and its PoE to the party from whom you obtained it. If you downloaded the program, you may contact the party from whom you acquired it for instructions on how to obtain the refund. Authorization for use on home/portable computer You may not copy and use this program on another computer without paying additional license fees.
