1 The SEO (search engine optimization) tools enable the company to improve their website s accessibility instantly and easily and to attain the top ranking in the search results. By typing any keyword, you get all the related data quickly and the websites are listed from top to bottom. So how these are listed in the rankings is what SEO tools answers to. Everyone wants to have their website in the top search engine ranking and how is an important question to answer. Seo is often taken as time consuming and complicated but as we study further, there are simple steps to be followed to build up an effective SEO. Regardless of the nature of business, SEO tools can be adapted as per the circumstances. Nowadays SEO services have become a vital tool in the marketing campaign to success. We lay down simple steps for SEO which would help to take the business to the next level. \.
2 1. Step UP: The foremost step is the planning of the SEO strategy. This step involves the use of tools like Google Analytics (website analysis), Google Ad Words (research keywords whether you run a paid campaign or not), and Google Webmaster Tools (allows to communicate with Google and adjust many aspects thereon) to provide a framework for how to proceed further. These tools will enable to check how the users will interact with the site and the keywords they are searching for so that you can follow the path as per their needs and desires. The emphasis is not only on volume of the people visiting the website but on the quality visitors. We should be clear of what are our goals and assets and liabilities
3 2. Site Audit: With time, the terms and the conditions with Google are becoming more rigid. When we already have an existing site, we need to periodically make an audit of the site to make sure it is in compliances with the rules. Site analysis is also recommended to check the problems on the site like any issues related to performance which can affect the visitor s experience on the site. The audit tools which are generally used are Moz site audit checklist and WooRank. Like LinkRisk, which is used as a link audit solution to check out if some links which can be removed or added for better prospects. This step might be time consuming but is very important to perform to avoid the penalties being levied for the violation done. A reporting has to be done for the details mentioned about keywords, content accessibility, link connecting reports to check as to how the progression has been made and errors if any are corrected timely and the opportunities are searched for improvement.
4 3. WWW or Without This becomes an important option to choose right away, as to choose www with the domain name or without it. This will lay down on how the search engine will view the website. If much care is not taken at this step, and say for example both options are chosen, then the search engine will view the website as two different sites by taking and domain.com, and this would adversely affect the rankings position. So both the URL formats are equal, and choice has to be made to choose only one of them. Google webmaster tools help to set the preferred domain.

The campaign is made to line with the organizational goals. Choices of keywords have to be carefully made as this is the primary thing to implement in the entire process. If done correctly, they affect the SEO process cent percent. Generally the website in the top rankings does connect with the searched word or phrase. The keywords should have 3 R s- Relevance, Reachable, and ROI (to increase revenue). It can either make or finish your business campaign. Different data tools to be used in this regard to check that for any one particular keyword, the number of clicks done. Some of the tools which are used for the search process are Google ad word keyword planner, Google suggests, Google trends (check search trend over time) and Google webmaster tools. Using the API tool, the SEO team can check the search volumes and plan accordingly. Once an understanding is made as to what the user is searching for, then the remaining steps becomes much easier.
6 5. Navigation This step is usually required to solve two purposes. First the users should be able to navigate easily through the website pages and secondly the search engines should make a smooth links between individual links and pages. This becomes especially important in the case of large websites. The confusing and broken links to the site will demean the purpose altogether. The navigation tool has to be kept simple and clear so that there should not be any pages that are difficult to get to from the home page. It is all about movement of your site visitor from the one page to different pages or sections within your site.
7 6. On Page Content: The emphasis is not only on the volume of the people visiting the website but the quality visitors to achieve the overall business goals. Every month there are new entrants in the market. So you should have the full insight of the competition around and the latest updated information. One question should always be asked in the mind that what we actually provide to the users so that they spend few more seconds reading the pages or is the provided information unique and useful to them! Building great content and keeping it up to date is the key to SEO. The content created should be around the keyword selected by the company with new updates and information. It should have newness in the content material. Just by adding new pages constantly will not serve much purpose; rather, it is always advisable to have one keyword phrase per page.
8 7. Meta Tags They are the page data tags that lie between the open and closing head tags in the HTML code of a document. So the Meta tags help tell the search engines and users what the site is about. Like as a user, you have typed in a key word. Now number of results has shown up. Now which one to click? Generally the users check the title words and the added description mentioned. So description is taken as Meta tag. With proper planning and thought process, the important keyword phrases has to be included to get an attractive Meta description which will have a straight effect on the seo campaign. The Meta description should be unique and relevant to that specific page. Any kind of duplicate descriptions will not provide any result. Similarly, the title tags should also be unique and attractive so that the user just wants to click and read about it.
9 8. Coding: This will help on the site to tell search engines which pages they are allowed to visit. We have to build up a site that is easy for the search engines to recognize. If the website has poorly written codes, then the search engines will not be sure as to how the pages will display while using different browsers like internet explorer, fire fox etc. search engines like Google use the robots.txt file to index the web content.
10 9. Sitemap: To attract the maximum number of users to search for, the site needs to be indexed by search engines and directories like DMOZ. This means we are creating a sitemap for the site so that the users can easily navigate the information which is most relevant for their searched word. As the name suggests, it is like the map of the site, like on one page we are showing the entire framework of the site, the different sections and the links. If we have a lot of pages on the site, then we need to create as many sitemaps and also they are linked together. Since this makes the navigation easier, so it is helpful for both, users as well as search engines. To generate a site map, we can either download or install a sitemap generator or use an online sitemap generation tool. After generating, we upload it to the site and then intimate Google about it.
11 10. Off page: Just only keywords or tag lines in the content do not serve the purpose. It is also important to link your website to other similar kind of websites to encourage the traffic. This requires expertise knowledge to generate permanent links to give a long lasting impact. The content can be interlinked by including the link of own some other site in the respective page, which would provide more exposure to the website and thus more people visiting the page. Use of back links also helps which implies adding the links of our web pages on other different sites so that when these links are clicked, it will take the person to our site and thus adding more exposure. The use of social media portals also play a role in the off page step, whereby sites like Face book, Twitter, and Instagram help in acquiring the traffic. Just to be remembered here that some techniques like link manipulation, creating pages with duplicate content or link schemes etc should be avoided to increase a page's ranking in a search engine result page as they are highly disapproved practices.
12 In addition to all the above steps, building trust online becomes a must to complete the entire SEO process. Relationship building on the basis of honesty and ethical business values becomes the bottom line for the experts to render services efficiently.
