4 NEM at glance The Networked and Electronic Media (NEM) initiative is part of the European Industrial Initiatives, or European Technology Platforms. NEM addresses the convergence of media, communications, consumer electronics, and Information Technology in Europe. It aims to support the future growth for the European economy, by taking advantage of generalized broadband access, increased mobility, availability of richer media formats and contents, as well as new home networks and communications platforms. 13 Session description Future Internet offers the ground for accessing new content in a way that third parties exploitation and utilization can offer new innovative services. Open data belongs to this new content category and it is rather important to better know the borders, the access mode, the business models, etc. This session has the objective to offer answers in questions arising for these Open Data tasks and at the same time to share a common vision on Open data.
