3 Rich Snippets helps improve Magento website s SEO, increasing organic traffic and click-through rate in search results. Implementing Rich Snippets will show potential customers additional information about products with enhanced search results, increasing the outreach of a brand to its audience. Getting Started Once you have installed Rich Snippets, you can immediately start using the extension. 1. Select Stores in the Admin Bar on the left. Then, under Settings, choose Configuration. Next, click Atwix Rich Snippets under ATWIX EXTENSIONS in the sidebar. Page 3! of! 11

4 You are now on the Rich Snippets configuration page. The extension is intuitive and easy to use even for an unexperienced user. The hints under each option will help you get around or link to external resources to deepen your knowledge on specific terms. Below is the overview of each specific configuration section. Configuration Overview General Here you may: - enable or disable rich snippets on your website - specify Twitter handle for Twitter cards - enter preferred website name that will appear in multiple snippets and in the open graph Page 4! of! 11

5 CMS Configure Rich Snippets that apply to the website s CMS pages: - open graph meta tags on CMS pages - open graph titles on CMS pages - open graph description on CMS pages - open graph logo on CMS pages - twitter cards on CMS pages - twitter cards logo on CMS pages - enable custom website name on CMS pages Page 5! of! 11

6 Organization Enable organization rich snippets and specify the following: - organization - name - telephone - logo - postal code - address Page 6! of! 11

7 Social Тhis section allows enabling head tags for social networks: - Google Plus - Facebook - LinkedIn - Pinterest - Instagram - Twitter Page 7! of! 11

8 Breadcrumbs Here you may specify whether to use breadcrumbs snippets for your site and select their schema type. You may also set up a custom home page title in breadcrumbs. Page 8! of! 11

9 Category Page Rich Snippets Enable and specify the schema type of rich snippets for your category pages and decide whether to include open graph meta tags and twitter cards for these pages. Ratings for category pages can also be enabled or disabled here. Page 9! of! 11

10 Product Page Rich Snippets Select whether to apply rich snippets to your product pages. You can also add rich snippets rating and Twitter cards to your product pages. Search Box Rich Snippets Easily enable or disable Search Box Rich Snippets for a website, and change search URL, as well as search input name, right from the backend. Page 10! of 11!

11 Disclosure Once you've marked up your site's content, you may test it using the Structured Data Testing Tool. Google will discover it the next time it crawls the website (although it may take some time for rich snippets to appear in search results). When Google s algorithms discover technically correct markup on a page, a variety of signals is used to determine when to show rich snippets, including compliance with Webmaster Quality Guidelines and Structured Data Policies. As a result, correctly marked up content may not always trigger rich snippet in the search results.
