LCCC is new to offering Service Learning opportunities to the student body. This is your opportunity to create enthusiasm and interest in this worthy program. A data file is provided, but you must add additional information to the presentation and enhance the formatting of the slides. You will insert and modify a SmartArt graphic. You will create and modify a table and insert a slide from a Word outline. You will save the presentation as a PowerPoint Show. From the student file that accompanies this textbook, open p08h_service_learning.pptx, and then save the file as Lastname_Firstname_8H_Service_Learning 8 PowerPoint On Slide 3, replace the text Your Information with WHAT IS SERVICE LEARNING? Insert a new slide as Slide 4, using the Title and Content layout. Add a SmartArt Graphic from the List category, Vertical Box List, that has three levels. Type the following in each box: Educate students and faculty and Recruit and train volunteers and Coordinate volunteer programs Add the slide title SERVICE LEARNING & LCCC On Slide 5, replace the text Your Information with LCCC SERVICE LEARNING GOALS Insert a new slide as Slide 6, using the Title Only layout. Draw a table, and then divide it into rows and columns for the following information: Goals for Service Learning Novice Apprentice Proficient Demonstrate an awareness Demonstrate personal Demonstrate responsibility responsibility for solutions Size and position the table, Height 3.7'' and Width 10.7'', merge cells in the first row, center the text Horizontally and Vertically in all cells, and apply Medium Style 2 - Accent 1 with Header Row table style option applied. Add the slide title SERVICE LEARNING On Slide 7, replace the text Your Information with HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED? With Slide 7 selected, if necessary, insert the file p08h_sl_involvement as slides from an outline to create Slide 8 and use Format Painter to change the text formatting to match the rest of the presentation. Insert a Header & Footer on the Notes and Handouts, which includes the date and time fixed, the page number, and a footer with the text Lastname_Firstname_8H_Service _Learning The Properties should include your name, course name and section number as subject, and the tags goals, service Save the presentation as Lastname_Firstname_8H_Service_Learning.pptx Create a PowerPoint Show of the presentation and save the Show as Lastname_Firstname_8H_Show.ppsx Print Handouts 9 slides per page, or submit electronically as directed by your instructor. end You have completed Project 8H Project 8H: Service Learning PowerPoint 1

Locate and open the file p08i_enrollment_trends.pptx, and then save the file as Lastname_Firstname_8I_Enrollment_Trends By using the skills you learned in this chapter, create a presentation as shown in Figure On Slide 2, wrap text. On Slide 2, add a border to the shape and set as default shape. Insert the slides from the outline in p08i_lccc_goals as Slides 3, 4, and 5, and then format the title and content placeholders to match the color and fonts used in the presentation. On Slide 6, draw the table as shown in Figure 8.46 using the following data. Format the table with a table style. This department was recently asked to present information about its offerings and enrollments. Begin the presentation with background information. The presentation must have a minimum of five slides and include three tables. Open the presentation file p08j_distance_learning and use the provided slides to include a minimum of three tables. Insert the outline slide using the provided Word document p08j_background.docx. The goal is to give the audience a clear overview of the department. Save the presentation as Lastname_Firstname_8J_Distance_Learning Insert a Header & Footer on the Notes and Handouts, which includes the date and time fixed, the page number, and a footer with the text Lastname_Firstname_8J_Distance_Learning In the Properties, add your name and course and section number for subject information and the tags distance, offerings Save your presentation, and then create a video. The purpose of the presentation is to provide information to individual academics who may want to apply for a position within the college. You will begin by inserting the outline included in p08n_staffing_data. You will also add additional information about the faculty, salaries, and benefits. Include a table with data about the college and format the table attractively. Add a SmartArt graphic with information about college benefits. Save the presentation as a video. Also, you could highlight the excellent facilities and quality education at LCCC. Check the presentation for spelling and grammar errors, and then save any changes.
