Overview of the Home Page and User Interface The Dmitri application includes a Home Page that is the starting point from which you can launch the application functions. Looking at the Home Page, notice that the user interface of this application is laid out in three major areas (1) the Global Application Header, (2) the Global Shortcut Pane and (3) the Page/Sections/ Widgets area. (1) (2) (3) Figure 3 Layout of User Interface Risk Sciences Group - 5 -
(1) Global Application Header The Global Application Header appears along the top of the page spanning the entire width of the page and is visible at all times. It includes the product name and logo, major tabs (called MegaTabs ), and global links (Home, Help and Logout). Figure 4 Example of Application Header (2) Global Shortcut Pane The Global Shortcut Pane (navigation pane) appears on the left side of each Page in the application and is a quick way to access records and reports as well as search through the system. Each section has Expand/Collapse control arrows allowing you to control what you see on the screen. Section Description Search Add New Favorites History The Search component allows you to build simple Search Criteria to filter data and display the results in a grid. You can use this Search capability as a quick way to access Modules instead of using the MegaTabs and drilling down via the links. The Add New component allows you to quickly add new Records, such as new Claims, Policies, Incidents, Locations, etc. Favorites allows you to quickly access, edit or delete links that you have designated as favorites. Favorites are organized in folders so you can easily find commonly used searches, records and reports. History allows you to view Pages that you have accessed within various time frames. These appear in expandable/collapsible folders of time: Today shows all Pages accessed on this day, including ones currently open or loaded. Last Login Day shows all Pages accessed the previous day, or when the user last logged on. Last 50 shows up to the last 50 pages, which is the default limit. The History function allows you to multitask yet have a history of what you have been working on. Figure 5 Global Shortcut Pane Risk Sciences Group - 6 -

(3) Page/Sections/Widgets Area The "Page/Sections/Widgets area appears in the remaining part of the Page. Each Page will contain one or more Sections. Each Section can contain an unlimited number of Widgets. A Widget is basically a grouping of related information, and can be presented in several formats, such as Grids, Forms, Charts or Reports. Each Widget, which consists of one or more individual Fields or pieces of data, can have permissions associated to it in order to limit who can view and/or edit the Widget or its contents. Widgets allow you to drill down further for more detailed information and present this data in a number of ways. Figure 6 Page/Sections/Widgets Area Figure 6 Risk Sciences Group - 8 -
Navigating the Global Shortcut Pane Using the Global Shortcut Pane Search Function The Search function allows you to quickly locate information by specifying simple criteria on which to search. Figure 7 Example of Shortcut Pane Search Function Use the following steps to quickly search for information. Steps: 1. 14 Using the Global Shortcut Pane to Add a New Record The Add New function allows you to add a new Record, such as a new Claim, Location, Policy, Company or Contact to the application database. Use the following basic steps to add a new Record. Steps: 1. From the Add New dropdown box, select the type of Record you are adding, such as a new Location. The name of the Record you selected will populate into the following area. 2. Click the Create button. An Entry page for that Record will appear so you can add the Record. Risk Sciences Group 14
3. Enter the appropriate Values into the fields of the Record. Note: A red asterisk denotes a required field. You will not be able to save the new Record until data is entered into this field. 4. Click the Save button. The information you entered is sent to the server, which evaluates the values and determines if they satisfy the business rules set up for that Record. If the rules are satisfied, the Record is saved and you are returned to your previous page. If the rules are not satisfied, the application displays a popup window with text describing the data entry error(s) and highlights any invalid value(s) in red. Managing Favorites The Favorites function allows you to quickly designate a Page as a Favorite so you can access it at any time. Once you have designated a Page as a Favorite, you can quickly access, edit or delete the Page from your Favorites List. Adding a Favorite to Your Favorites List If the Page is not currently listed in the Global Shortcut Pane Favorites List, then the Star icon that displays in the Page/Section toolbar will appear as an outline instead of solid (filled in). To designate the Page as a Favorite: Click the Star icon in the Page/Section toolbar. The system will add the Page to your List of Favorites in the Global Shortcut Pane and change the Star icon in the toolbar from outline to solid. Accessing Favorites Once you have designated a Page as a Favorite, you can quickly access, edit or delete the Page from your Favorites List. Use the following steps to access your Favorite links. Risk Sciences Group 15
Steps: 1. From the Favorites dropdown box, select the desired Module or leave the default (All). The folders that display will depend on the Module you select. For example, assume you did not select a specific Module, but left the default of All. Note: If you see the message No Favorites, then you have not yet designated any Favorites for that Module. 2. If there are Favorites listed for the Module you select, hover over the desired Favorite until it is highlighted. Then click it. You will be brought to the Page to which the Favorite is pointing. Note: A meaningful label is provided to a user who hovers over a record saved in the Favorites list. The user can easily see details of the record, as shown below. Risk Sciences Group 16
Editing the Label for a Favorite Link Steps: 1. Hover over the link. 2. Click the Pencil icon (When you hover over this icon, the word Edit will display.) 3. Perform a search on Claims. The application will display the results in a results grid. 2. Click a link in a row of the grid to display details for that row. 3. Without closing the Page you are currently viewing, click the link for the Claim Search Page under History Today. You will be returned to that Page without having to re-execute the Search function. MegaTabs and Modules The Dmitri application includes a MegaTab Bar," which is the main menu bar. It contains major tabs allowing users to easily access areas where they may want to view claims related data, perform risk management analysis, or customize the application. The MegaTab bar appears in the application header area, horizontally below the logo area, as shown below. Figure 8 Example of MegaTab Bar in Application Header Risk Sciences Group 20
Because the Dmitri application is dynamic, the MegaTabs, Modules, buttons and icons that appear and the associated links available on each page will depend on what users are permitted to access or what functions they can perform. System administrators can work with management to set up permissions authorizing appropriate access. Each MegaTab drops down to one or more Modules. Each Module contains interactive links that you can click to reach additional functions or data. Note: In order to prevent a user from opening a MegaTab dropdown accidentally, the user must click on a MegaTab, rather than simply hovering over it. As shown below, hovering over a MegaTab will underline the label for that MegaTab, but not open its dropdown. MegaTab Dashboard Module Links Reports Module Links Note: Because the Dmitri application is dynamic, the MegaTabs, Modules, buttons and icons that appear and the associated links available on each page will depend on what you are permitted to access or what functions you can perform. Your system administrator can work with you to set up permissions authorizing your access. MegaTabs Following is a description of the Modules and links that are currently included under each standard MegaTab. Display Dashboard This link takes you to a Page such as the following where you will be able to see a high level summarized view of data in your system, across Modules. You can customize your Dashboards as desired. For example, if you want to see your top 10 largest claims or the 10 most recent claims in your database, then you can do so from your Dashboard. A series of charts can display from which you can drill down to reach further details. For example, you can drill down in a Bar chart or Pie chart on your Dashboard and bring up further details. Hovering over specific areas on the charts and clicking them allows you to continue to drill down from screen to screen to reach the information desired. You can also save your drilldown searches to History and easily get to a claim. Figure 10 Example Dashboard Page Risk Sciences Group 23

A Detailed Exploration of the Claims Module Previously in this class, you learned how to use the Global Shortcut Pane to quickly search for a Record. In addition to this simple search mechanism, most of the Modules in the Dmitri application, including the Claims Module, also contain a search function. This search function, (via a link) available in the Module dropdown box, allows the user to perform a more detailed Search. To better understand Search functionality, we will explore the following topics: Types of Searches Often, users will perform basic searches using simple search criteria, such as searching for a specific claim for a particular location, or searching for a particular type of claim that occurred at a specific location or occurred on a particular date or year. You can also perform more advanced searches and construct your search criteria by entering several unique qualifiers to further qualify your search and narrow the results. Constructing the Search Criteria Steps: 1. Click on the Search for Claims link to search for a Claim. Risk Sciences Group 29
You will reach the following Search Page: From this page you can add criteria rows and then build simple or complex search criteria as desired to further qualify your search. (By clicking the Add button, you can add another search row, as shown below.) Figure 11 Constructing Search Criteria Become familiar with the following general buttons and dropdowns so that you can use them when specifying your Search Criteria. Use the dropdown boxes in the Search Criteria area of the Search Page to build and qualify each criteria row. Click on the down arrow next to Select a Field, and the following drop-down will display: Risk Sciences Group 32
Filtering To help narrow the list of rows that display in the grid and make finding the desired value(s) easier, a multi-select filter is available. This Advanced Filter allows the user to choose both Operators and Values for Fields. Figure 13 - Example of an Advanced Filter For example, when filtering on a Field, you could choose one of the column headings in the grid and then choose an Operator and a Value Once you have made your selections and press Enter, the rows that display in the grid will be filtered on that specific column. (The dropdown lists fields that match the same datatype of the Search Field you selected.) Parameter: If the Value Type desired is a parameter, you will see a dropdown from which to select a parameter name. Constant: You may prefer to specify a constant value, which can be text, a number, date, etc. based on the datatype of the Search Field. Risk Sciences Group 34
Constructing Search Criteria for a More Advanced Search Suppose you wanted to search for any Claimant Names containing Smith with any associated Accident Descriptions or any Vehicle Damaged Descriptions that contained Totaled that occurred in Fulton County or the City of Atlanta. (This is just an example. The data is not in the training database.) You would enter the Search Criteria as follows. Steps: 1. Under the Claims Module, click the Search for Claims link. 2. Click the Add button until you have 5 search criteria rows. Risk Sciences Group 35
3. Click the ellipsis on the last two rows. Once these rows are highlighted, click the OR button at the top of the screen. Your Claim Search screen will appear as follows. Notice that the last two rows now show the OR qualifier. 4. Fill in the first search criteria row as follows: Dropdown Action Field Select Claimant Name (Clmt Name) from the dropdown. 38 9. Review the Search criteria verbiage that appears in the box below the criteria rows to ensure it reflects the criteria you want. Your Search Page could look as follows. Depending on the way you enter information and the operators you choose, it could appear differently. The important factor is that it reflects what you want to search for. 10. Click Search to execute the search. The system will perform the search and display in a grid format any results found that match your criteria. Now let s create an advanced search using Baker Hughes data. Create a claim search for all Workers Compensation accidents occurring in the United States or Canada with an accident date on or after 1/1/2005 with a total incurred >= $500K or a legal code of Y. Try to create your own search criteria without looking at the example. Risk Sciences Group 38
Your search criteria should resemble the following: And your results should look something like this: Risk Sciences Group 39
