1 Installation Instructions Nochex Payment Module for Ecwid A guide to the installation of the Nochex payment module for Ecwid. All the information you need to start accepting Nochex payments in Ecwid. Version 1.4 Updated 24 th August

3 Setting Up Nochex as a Payment Option With the Nochex payments module installed you can not only accept credit card payments but also Nochex members can pay using their Nochex account. Customers don t even need a Nochex account to make payments through Nochex making it quick and easy for customers to make payments. Nochex uses anti-fraud protection like 3D Secure the leading Internet Authentication Protocol designed by Visa and MasterCard, to ensure your customers can make payments in confidence. s are sent directly from Nochex giving payment confirmation both to the customer and the seller. The installation instructions below explain how to setup Nochex as a payment option in Ecwid. 3

4 Installation Instructions 1. Firstly make sure you have downloaded the module files located here 2. Extract the Ecwid_Nochex_Module.zip folder. 3. Copy the module files, from the archive to a suitable folder on your web server. You can use FTP for this process using FileZilla or a File Manager etc. 4. Go to and login to your Ecwid account. 5. Navigate to the payment section, System Settings -> Payment. 6. Choose the credit card option from the list of payment options. Press change details, and Select Credit Card: Authorize.Net SIM. 7. Press Apply. 8. Select Account details. 9. Enter an API Login, Transaction Key, MD5 Hash Value (set these values to whatever you wish), and set the transaction type to authorize and capture, and press the test mode option. (Note: Remember the details for a later step, Uncheck test mode when you want to make a live transaction) 10. Select the advanced settings link. 11. Press Change, set the link to the URL of the orderdetails.php located on your web server e.g. erdetails.php 12. Press Save. 13. Open the ecwid-config.php file that was uploaded to your server. 14. Enter your API Login, Transaction Key, Store ID and MD5 Hash Values. From the account details section. Then save the file. 15. Open the config.php file that was uploaded to your server. 4

5 16. Find and Replace Enter Your Address with your address. 17. Find and Replace Enter your Nochex merchant_id with your Nochex merchant ID/ address. 18. Ensure the $return_link_url is being directed to the postpayment.php file and the $success_url is directed to the success_url.php file on your web server and save the file. 19. To activate particular features in your Ecwid integration, change the values from No to Yes. i. Hide Billing Details This feature is to hide the billing details from the customer during the checkout process. ii. Product Collection This feature shows detailed information about the products in your Ecwid shopping cart, and shown in a structured format on your Nochex payment page. iii. Test Mode This feature allows you to put your Nochex module into test to check everything is working correctly with your installation. Nb: Disable this option / change the value to No to enable live transactions. 20. Complete a test transaction using your shopping cart and the Nochex payment option to see if everything is working. 5

6 Troubleshooting There are three responses that can be received from the Nochex module, which can be shown in your Ecwid account. o Accepted. The order has been successful. o Declined. The order already exists so the order status is changed to Declined. o Queued. There is a problem with the order. When going through the process of the shopping cart when I press make payment the page didn t go to my Nochex payments page. o This could be due to your Nochex merchant ID being incorrectly entered, or is not present. Nothing is working, and an error is produced whilst testing o API Login, Transaction Key, and MD5 Hash Values are missing or do not match. o $return_link_url is missing or not typed correctly. o The link in the payment options is not navigating to the postpayment.php page 6
