Named for the 59 th minute, is a fast and easy access to hundreds of last-minute weekend getaways. Last-minute travel is one of the largest and fastest-growing travel categories. With it is now possible to offer great packages at outstanding prices to the last-minute customer. Let s begin by reviewing the ways to access. From Worldspan for Windows Use the Z4AGT59 script There are three ways to access through Worldspan. From the Worldspan Home Page select the Worldspan Go! 5 Virtual Classroom Outline To the left is the main screen. In the upper right is the Here About Promotions link. Click on this link to sign-up for Alerts and get a free bi-weekly full of 's best deals, promotions and product updates. Using the drop-down arrow for Featured Deals, you can view packages from a specific city. Agent 59 offers three types of package deals: Flight & Hotel The trip includes Air, Hotel, and sometimes other deals FlightPlus+ This package includes Air and Rental (Flight & Rental Car) car for the customer who already has a 3/18/2003 Page 5

6 Virtual Classroom Outline HotelPlus+ place to stay This is great for the customer who needs only Hotel accommodations and a little something special To see more packages of a specific type, click the green Search button in the lower right corner of each package deal type. See more of the screen by clicking on the Resize button at the top. Click Resize again to resume original view. To the right of the main screen is the smaller Search, Info, Help screen. This area can help to refine your search for the best package for your customer. Let s review how to search for a last-minute getaway by using the different search navigations. First let s search by Travel Date. Use this type of search if your customer knows which weekend they would like to travel but would like some ideas about where to go. Application Sharing 2. From the Agent 59 Home page, Search By Travel Date, use the drop-down arrow and click on Pittsburgh for the Departure City. 3. Use the drop-down arrow and click on a Thursday or Friday date for the Departing Date. 4. Use the drop-down arrow and click on a Sunday or Monday date for the Returning Date. 5. 7 Virtual Classroom Outline The Search Results are displayed in the main screen to the left. Displayed is the number of packages found for the dates requested. The requested departure city appears in the drop-down box. In the gray boxes are the three different package categories (Flight & Hotel, FlightPlus+, or HotelPlus+) and the number of packages found for each category. Depending on the type of package your customer is looking for, click on the package type to view the list of available packages in that category. Fifteen packages appear on the page at one time. If more than fifteen packages for a category are available, click on the numbered list to proceed to the next group of packages. 3/18/2003 Page 7

8 Virtual Classroom Outline Use the scroll bar to the right to move up and down the main screen page. Let s look at the different available packages. The list offers the basic information to help you and your customer pinpoint the destination. The list provides the following information: The destination city The name of the package What is included in the price The starting price per person If you find a package that you may be interested in, click More Info to get the details. 10 Virtual Classroom Outline The Package Details screen offers a lot of great information to help you and you customer decide if this is the best package for them. This screen repeats what the package includes and offers all the available dates and prices. Another valuable feature is the Recommendations & Suggestions area. It advises if a rental car is needed, restaurants suggestions, museums, and attractions in the area. Use the scroll bar again to move up and down the page. You can read more about the recommendation and suggestions and the destination area. Page 10 3/18/2003

11 Virtual Classroom Outline If this is the package for you, you and your customer need only to select an available date from the list. Let s take a look at the first package. Application Sharing 8. 12 Virtual Classroom Outline Here you see the package summary again. Departure City Departing Date Returning Date Package Includes Info Now use the drop-down arrows to finish your booking. Include the information required for your selection. Depending on your package, you need to provide the following information: Number of adults Number of infants with airline seats Number of children Number of infants without airline seats Number of rooms Hotel preference Rental car company Once all the selections are made. Be sure to move to the bottom of Page 12 3/18/2003

13 Virtual Classroom Outline the page and read the Notes regarding refunds, taxes, single travelers, and more. If you still have questions, click FAQ for more helpful tips. It s very important to move to the bottom of the page to read the notes regarding items like e-ticket and/or Frequent Travel numbers. 19 Virtual Classroom Outline From this screen, if your customer needs one, a rental car can be booked. You can choose from a list of companies, car types, and prices. You are reminded again to read the terms and conditions. This information is located in the Notes at the bottom of the page. From this page, you have two choices: Choose a car rental Continue without car For our customer, we are going to continue without a car. 3/18/2003 Page 19

23 Virtual Classroom Outline 22. Use the scroll bar to move up and down this page and review each billing section. The billing information screen gives the final total for the trip. It also reconfirms the travel dates, and accommodations. On this screen you are required to complete the traveler names, the agency contact information, credit card and billing information, and carefully review the terms and conditions. From the scroll down arrow simply choose your customers departure city and desired destination city/state or international Application Sharing 24. As explained earlier, this screen give the number of packages found, the destination city, the name of the package, what is included, and the per person starting price. From this screen the same process would be repeated to book any of these packages. You can also search by package type or interest. Let s take a look at how it works. 3/18/2003 Page 27

28 Virtual Classroom Outline Application Sharing 26. Use the scroll bar to the far right to scroll down to Search by Interest and Search by Keyword. If your customer would like their package to contain specific components, use Search by Interest. For example, if the main concern is golfing, in the main screen click the drop-down arrow to select a departure city, and then click on Golf from the search by interest section and see what is available. The search results screen is displayed. The search results displays excellent golf packages. To confirm one of the packages, simply follow the same booking procedures 3/18/2003 Page 29

Here is a list of tips wants you to know about before making your booking. is for last-minute bookings; travel within 14 days. All the offerings are package deals. If your package includes air, tickets are issued as e-tickets. No Page 32 3/18/2003

It is not possible to make additions to the package. is unable to hold or reserve packages. It is not possible to book one package for travelers with different origination cities. The brand is not revealed to the customer. All purchases are final. No changes are permitted. Next is Commission & Payments pays 5% commission on the pre-tax amount and there is no cap. Commission is paid by check on a monthly basis. Cancellations & Changes Because of the great deals offered by, refunds and exchanges are not allowed. If changes or cancellation is required, you must contact the airline, hotel, or rental car company directly. Terms of Service It is your responsibility to read this in its entirety. It reviews things like making purchases, special request, refunds and changes, guarantees, endorsements, and liabilities, jurisdictional issues, disclaimers, limitation of liability and indemnification. Privacy Policy This link talks about the measures designed to protect the privacy of those using the Site and the services provided on the Site. What is the red help button for?
