1 ILG VPN Job Aid The two bullets below provide instructions that will guide you through the process of setting up and connecting to the ILG VPN: Before you can use the ILG VPN for the first time, you must set it up on your computer. This only needs to be done one time. To do this, follow the steps for: How to Set Up ILG VPN Connection. Once the ILG VPN is set up, there are only a few simple steps needed to connect to the VPN. These need to be done each time you want to connect. To do this follow the steps for: How to Connect to ILG VPN Connection After Setup is Complete. If you prefer to find the section you want manually, you can do it using the contents listing below. 2 HOW TO SET UP ILG VPN CONNECTION Choose which operating system you are using: Window 7 Windows
3 Set Up ILG VPN Connection Using Windows 7 1. Go to Start, then Control Panel. 2. Open the Network and Sharing Center Control Panel. 3. Choose Set up a new connection or network. 4. Choose Connect a workplace, then click Next
4 5. Choose Use my Internet connection (VPN)
5 6. Enter Internet address as vpn.innovativelg.com. 7. Enter Destination name as ILG VPN1, then click Next
6 8. Enter your User name and Password (the same ones you use to login to your computer at work), then click Connect. 9. Wait until you see a message indicating You are connected, then click Close
7 10. Click the network icon in the task bar down near the clock. 11. Right-click ILG VPN 1 and then choose Properties. 12. Click the Networking tab
8 13. Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4), then click Properties
9 14. Click the Advanced button
10 15. Uncheck Use default gateway on the remote network, click OK. 16. Click OK again. 17. Click OK again. 18. You will see a message indicating the settings will not take effect until the next time you connect. Click OK. 19. This completes set up instructions for configuring the ILG VPN, now proceed to Connect to ILG VPN Using Windows
11 Set Up ILG VPN Connection Using Windows Press Windows logo key + I to open Settings. 2. Click Network & Internet. 3. Click VPN on the left menu. 4. Click Add a VPN Connection
12 5. Complete the Add a VPN connection form as shown below: a. In the VPN provider drop-down list, Choose Windows (built-in). b. In the Connection name field, enter ILG VPN 1. c. In the Server name or address field, enter vpn.innovativelg.com. d. Leave the VPN type set to Automatic. e. Leave the Type of sign-in info set to User name and password. f. Enter your User name and Password (the same ones you use to login to your computer at work), and make sure that the Remember my sign-in info checkbox is checked. g. Then click Save. 6. In the Related Settings section, click Change adapter options
13 7. In the window that pops up, right-click the ILG VPN 1network adapter and choose Properties. 8. Click the Networking tab
14 9. Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4), then click Properties. 10. Click the Advanced button
15 11. Uncheck Use default gateway on the remote network, click OK. 12. Click OK again. 13. Click OK again. 14. This completes set up instructions for configuring the ILG VPN, now proceed to Connect to ILG VPN Using Windows
