The cloud connectors are specifically designed to address most common use cases such as moving data into cloud and retrieving data from cloud for each individual application. 7

8 Once the Box API Connector is enabled for your ORG Id, you need to create a connection in Informatica Cloud to access the connector. Box API Connector Box API Connector integrates your Box.com account with your system and download files from Box.com. You can upload, delete, and insert files or folders to Box.com. Box API Connector gives you the flexibility to access your files and folders in Box.com from anywhere. Enabling Box API Connector Contact Informatica Global Customer Support to enable Box API Connector. It takes 15 minutes for the Box API Connector to download to Secure Agent after enabling. Use Box API connections to specify sources and targets in Data Synchronization tasks and Mapping Configuration tasks. Create a connection and associate it with a Data Synchronization task, mapping, or Mapping Configuration task. Creating a Box API Connection You must create a connection in Informatica Cloud to use Box API Connector in Data Synchronization tasks. Perform the following steps to create Box API connection in Informatica Cloud: 1. Click Configure in Informatica Cloud home page. 2. Select Connections from the menu. The Connections page appears. 3. Click New to create a connection. 10

When you select Download_Files as the Box API, mention the Creating a connection: Download to which the folders/files will be downloaded from Box.com. By default POST is selected. POST is supported in the current release. Enter Client ID obtained from Box.com Developers Console: Obtaining Client ID and Secret. Enter Client Secret obtained from Box.com Developers Console: Obtaining Client ID and Secret. Test the connection to get the authorization code. Authorization code is automated. You do not have to enter authorization code. Enter response folder path where file containing summary of Data Synchronization task will be created. Enter Config file path with file name. Config file contains details about connection and end-point reference. Enter Secure Credentials file path with file name. When you test the connection Secure Credentials file will be generated. For example, C:\MyWorkspace\Box_Net\response\Secure1.cre. - Select Yes and then test the connection. - A configuration file containing API details will be created in the mentioned file path. - After the creation of configuration file, select No and continue with creating a connection. Note: You need to create a new config.csv file for every Box API you choose. - Select Yes for the first time you create a Box API connection in Informatica Cloud and then test the connection. - A browser window opens up requesting access to Box API. Click Authorize. - After authentication, select No and then create a connection. 5. Click Test to evaluate the connection. Note: When you test the connection, config.csv and secure credentials are generated in respective file paths. 12 Chapter 2: Box API Connections

13 When you test the connection, a browser window opens up requesting you to log in to grant access to your Box account. The following image shows the Box Account Log In page: a. Click Authorize after entering your login credentials. b. Click Grant access to Box. Creating a Box API Connection 13

15 Creating a Connection for Linux Agent When you create a connection for Linux environment, you need to manually authorize the Box API Connector. Perform the following steps to manually authorize the Box API Connector: 1. Create a batch file by pasting the following content: start chrome " oauth2/authorize?access_type=offline&approval_prompt=force&client_id=< Mention your client ID>&redirect_uri= For example, Box_API.bat Note: Mention the redirect_uri as it is an unused port. 2. Click the Batch file. 3. Log In to Grant Access to Box. 4. Click Authorize to access Box after entering your login credentials. The Grant access to Box dialog box appears. For example, Max-results=10;start-index=0. The URL request parameters are present in the config.csv file created. See Config.csv_file_containing_URL_request_Parameters For_Search_Files_or_Folders. By default, POST is selected. POST is supported in the current release. POST helps you to perform Read/Fetch operations. Other options will be supported in upcoming releases. Enter Client ID obtained from Box.com Developers Console: Obtaining Client ID and Secret. Enter Client Secret obtained from Box.com Developers Console: Obtaining Client ID and Secret. When you want to use connector in Linux environments, use manual method of authenticating Box. See Creating a Connection for Linux Agent on page 15. Enter Response folder path where file containing summary of Data Synchronization task will be created. Enter Config file path with file name. Config file contains details about connection and end-point reference. Enter Secure Credentials File path with file name. When you test the connection Secure Credentials File will be generated. Example: \..\..\BoxAPI\Secure_Credentials.cfg - Select Yes and then test the connection. - A configuration file containing API details will be created in the mentioned file path. - After the creation of configuration file, select No and continue creating a connection. Note: You need to create a new config.csv file, for every Box API you choose. - Select Yes for the first time you create a Box connection in Informatica Cloud and then test the connection. - After authentication, select No and then create a connection. 8. Most of the connection parameters are identical to Creating a Box API Connection on page 10 in windows environment. Note: In the mentioned connector parameter description, go through Authentication Required property details. 9. Click Test to evaluate the connection. 10. Select NO in Create the config csv file and Authentication Required fields after connection test is successful. 11. Click OK to save the connection. 20 C H A P T E R 3 Data Synchronization Tasks with Box API Connector This chapter includes the following topics: Creating a Box API Data Synchronization Task, 20 Data Filters, 23 Understanding Config.CSV File, 24 Creating a Box API Data Synchronization Task When you setup a Data Synchronization task, you need to assign _FLT_URL_Input_Parameters_Config_File_Path data filter to run the Data Synchronization task. Note: The Box connection are used as Source connection to perform all the operations. See Also: Box APIs Description on page 8. Perform the following steps to setup a Data Synchronization task in Informatica Cloud: 1. Click Wizard Task in Informatica Cloud home page. 2. Select Data Synchronization from the menu. The Data Synchronization page appears. 3. Click New to create a data synchronization task. 20

21 The Definition tab appears. The following image shows the Definition page. Note: You need to select task operation Insert to perform Search, Download, Upload, or Delete operations in Box.com. 4. Specify the Task Name for the task. 5. Provide a Description for the task. 6. Select the Task Operation Insert. 7. Click Next. The Source tab appears. The following image shows the Source page. 8. The Data Filters page appears where by default, Process all rows is chosen. You need to assign _FLT_URL_Input_Parameters_Config_File_Path data filter in Data Synchronization task. 12. Click Next. The Field Mapping page appears where you can map source fields to target fields accordingly. The following image shows the Field Mapping page. 13. Click Next. 23 14. Click Save and Run the task if you do not want schedule the task. The following image shows the Schedule Details page. After you run the task, the Monitor Log page will appear where you can monitor the status of Data Synchronization tasks. Data Filters Data filters help you to fetch specific files from Box.com based on the File ID configured in config.csv file. You need to assign _FLT_URL_Input_Parameters_Config_File_Path filter field with config.csv file as the filter value while setting up a Data Synchronization task. Note: Advanced Data Filters are not supported by Box API Connector. Perform the following steps to use data filters: 1. Select Data Filters tab in Data Synchronization task. The Data Filters tab appears. The following image shows the Data Filters page: 2. Click New. The Data Filter dialog box appears. Data Filters 23

24 3. Specify the following details: Field Type Object Filter By Operator Filter Value Description Select Object for which you want to assign filter fields. Select the Filter Field. Select Equals operator. Enter the Filter value. 4. Click OK. Understanding Config.CSV File The config.csv file contains all the URL parameters of the BOX APIs. You need to obtain file IDs as a key to execute Data Synchronization tasks in Box. A config.csv file generates while you create a connection. You need to update the config.csv file with files IDs obtained from Box.com for Data Synchronization task to be executed successfully. Object: Download_Files The following example shows how to update config.csv file to perform download operation from Box.com. 1. You can also manually authorize the connection. Check the Configuration property file to determine whether the connection is authorized. It is recommended to clear the browsing history, cookies, and session information of the web browser before you create connection with Box API Connector. Increasing Secure Agent Memory To increase performance and avoid runtime environment memory issues, perform the following steps: 1. Click Configure in Informatica Cloud home page. 2. Select Runtime Environments. The Runtime Environments page appears. 3. Select the Secure Agent for which you want to increase memory from the list of available Secure Agents. 4. Click Edit Secure Agent icon corresponding to the Secure Agent you want to edit. The Edit Secure Agent page appears. 5. Select the Type as DTM in the System Configuration Details section. 6.
