Also you can easily copy, paste, delete or move specific page by using menu commands located at upper-left side in the preview window. You can open preview window any time by clicking slightly ejected bar located at the left side of window during full screen mode. 10
4.2 Overview of the Gallery. The gallery is the collection of various images and multimedia files, which is useful for lecture environment or presentation. The gallery is displayed at the rightward window. The gallery supports various file formats such as image, movie, flash and office files (excel, word PowerPoint and pdf) as its contents. 11
4.2.1 The tree structure of the Gallery Window. The gallery is composed of three tabs called MINT room, Explorer and Flickr. You can see these tabs on lower right corner of window. The role of each tab is as follows; A. MINT Room Tab It consists of Default Room and My Room. Manufacturer supplied contents are included in Default Room. If you want to include your owned contents in MINT workspace, you can do it by linking the folder containing contents to My Room. Link user folder to My Room. Select My Room in the Gallery window and click icon on the menu bar at the middle of same window. System will pop up My Room window and then enter Folder name and define folder path if you want to change it. Remove the link from My Room. Select the folder to be removed and click icon. B. Explorer Tab. When to click explorer tab, contents window will be appeared. Thru this window, you can find proper contents by entering file name and checking file extension in the combo box to be explored. C. Flickr Tab. You can also use image files provided by How to use Gallery? NOTE: When office document is imported into MINT workspace, MINT interactive displays the document on the screen after converting it to image format How to use MINT Interactive for presentation. 12
4.3.1 Importing Office documentations into MINT Interactive workspace using Scrapbook function If you are using XP, Vista and Home basic edition, you can import documentation created by MS office into MINT Interactive workspace for annotation on it. Basically, MINT Note supports multiple pages for office document and those pages can be previewed in the preview window after importing to MINT Note workspace. MINT Note enables direct page selection or sequential page movement by using arrow icon on the page navigation toolbar for presentation. However, if you are using Vista Home Premium edition or above, you can use Ink tool on MS office menu bar by clicking view -> Ink start menu for annotation Using MINT Interactive toolbar. Without importing documentations into MINT Interactive scrapbook, you can use MINT Interactive directly for MS applications although it can be applicable to any applications. Start MINT Interactive before invoking Office applications. Then MINT Interactive toolbar will be placed on the top layer of office applications with full transparency. Here, you can put all annotation functions on office applications. 4.4 How to use Digital Ink for presentation?. You can put annotation on MS office documents without using MINT Interactive. For enabling this feature, you must use different way depending on Windows OS For Window-XP, Windows Vista Home Basic. As Windows-XP and VISTA Home Basic do not support Digital Ink directly, Ink Tool software is included for enabling its function on them. This is for MS office documentations; therefore, MS Office must be installed. When you install MINT Software from installation CD, this software will be automatically installed. This function is applicable to all MS office applications including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook with the same way. In this manual, MS Word & Excel are used as example of Ink Tool. A. How to use Ink Tool? 13
1 invoke MS-Office 2003 or Ink Tool menu will be appeared below tool bar on MS office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook) 3 Click Ink Tool icon on Toolbar as shown below. 4 Then Ink tool displays the toolbar as follows B. Functional description Clear All Sign Pen 14

Handwriting recognizer Recognize handwriting as text and then inserting to documents Option select language or object type Insert & Quit. When completing writing, click this menu for either inserting all objects to documents or cancelling written by Ink Tool. 16
NOTE: 1. Character recognizer must be downloaded and installed for using this function. (for more information, See 5.2) 2. When using Ink Tool on MS Outlook, set to HTLM mode as shown below For Window Vista Home Premium or above / Windows7 As Window Vista Home Premium or higher version and Windows 7 directly support MS digital ink library, Ink Tool is not necessary. When installing Softwares from Installation CD, the system automatically checks Windows version and not install for those windows OS described in this section. The way to use Ink tool is very simple. When clicking review on menus of MS office applications, it automatically enables Ink start icon, located at the right-end side of the menu. Click Ink Start, then another toolbar is popped up consisting of functions necessary for annotation. Using this toolbar, you can put annotation or drawing figures without limitation. 5. Character recognition engine. MINT Interactive supports handwriting character recognition by using Microsoft engine. However, it is only available for Windows Vista / Windows 7 Home premium or above edition. If Windows-XP or Windows Vista /Windows 7 Home basic users want to use this function, they have to download MS character recognizer from Microsoft web page. 17
5.1 Pre-requisites for installing character recognizer Before installing MS character recognizer, the following pre-requites should be satisfied; Internet must be connected.
