1 INTERNET BROWSER SETUP FOR CTC WEB FORMS Different computers may display screens differently. The screens in this instruction sheet are illustrative and may be different to their display on your computer. INTERNET EXPLORER FIND YOUR VERSION 1 Open Internet Explorer on your computer. Windows computers will generally display a blue e circled on scree 1 below. Alternatively click Start>All Programs>Internet Explorer. Start is at bottom left of screen. 2 Click the cog wheel icon at top right of browser screen below to display the menu rollout on screen 1 below. 3 Click About Internet Explorer on the menu rollout to display screen 2 below. InfoCitrus web forms will not work if it displays 7 or 8. You will need to upgrade your version of Internet Explorer or install Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Apple Safari. SCREEN 1 SCREEN 2 1

2 UPGRADE YOUR VERSION OF INTERNET EXPLORER 1 Click on and enter upgrade Internet Explorer to display screen below or equivalent. Click the link highlighted or equivalent and follow the download and installation instructions. SCREEN 3 SETTINGS & CACHE CLEARING FOR INTERNET EXPLORER 1 Select Internet Options in rollout menu on screen 1. Screen 4 displays defaulting with the General tab. 2 On screen 4 select Delete under Browsing History to display screen 5. 3 On screen 5 select at least Temporary Internet files and website files and Cookies and website data then click Delete to clear caching. 3 4 On screen 5 select at least Temporary Internet files and website files and Cookies and website data then click Delete to clear caching. 5 On screen 4 select Settings to display screen 6. 6 Select Every time I visit the web page and click OK. SCREEN 6 DOWNLOAD & INSTALL GOOGLE CHROME 1 Open a browser on your computer and enter The information on screen 7 will display. 2 Click Download Chrome and follow the prompts to download and install. We recommend you install Chrome as your default browser which is one of the prompts. SCREEN 7 3

4 MAKING GOOGLE CHROME YOUR DEFAULT BROWSER 1 If you already have Chrome installed and it is not your default browser open any web site by clicking on the Chrome icon circled on screen 8 below or clicking Start>All Programs>Google Chrome. Start is at bottom left of screen. 2 On screen 8 click Set as Default [circled at top] or click the three horizontal bars at top right to display the rollout menu and click Settings to display screen 9 below. Click Make Google Chrome the Default Browser circled below. SCREEN 8 SCREEN 9 4

5 CLEAR CACHING FROM GOOGLE CHROME 1 On screen 9 above select History at top left [circled] to display screen 10 below. Click Clear Browsing Data [circled] to display screen On screen 11 select at least Clear cookies and other site & plug-in data and Cached images and files then click Clear Browsing Data [circled]. 6 DOWNLOAD & INSTALL MOZILLA FIREFOX 1 Open a browser on your computer and enter US/firefox/new/. The information on screen 12 will display. 2 Click Free Download. A download exe link will display at bottom left of screen see screen 13. Double click the exe link to display screen 14 and follow the installation prompts. SCREEN 12 SCREEN 13 6

7 SCREEN 14 CLEAR CACHING FROM MOZILLA FIREFOX 1 On screen 15 click the icon with three horizontal lines to display the popup then click Options or click Options at bottom of screen to display screen 16 below. 2 On screen 16 select the Advanced icon [circled], then the Network tab [circled] and then Clear Now. 9 CLEAR CACHING FROM MICROSOFT EDGE 1 On screen 17 click on the three horizontal dots at top right [circled] to display a popup. Click Settings [circled] to display screen On screen 18 select Choose what to clear to display screen On screen 19 select at least Browsing History, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files. 10 CLEAR CACHING AND TEMPORARY FILES FROM YOUR COMPUTER 1 Open your internet browser and search CCleaner click on link displayed in screen 20 or similar. 2 Select CCleaner Professional free trial (or subscribe if you wish), screen Download and follow instructions, screen 22.
