4 IBM OpenPages GRC Platform IF5 ReadMe 4 of 13 About this Interim Fix This Interim Fix updates the IBM OpenPages GRC Platform environment from version to IF5 for IBM WebSphere Application Server on AIX or Linux or Windows. Enhancements, Defect Fixes, and Known Issues Defect Fixes The following enhancements, defect fixes, and known issues are included in this release. The Authorized Problem Analysis Report (APAR) ID, if available, is shown in parentheses after a description. For example: (PM12345). OpenPages IF5 Icons missing from Add New wizard if /openpages is removed from URLIcons missing from Add New wizard if /openpages is removed from URL. (PI49784) Grid view user selector icons missing when not using the default OpenPages URL (PI30379) Trigger Enhancement: Addition of "exclusiveoperationby" attribute. Allows triggers to be forced to run serially in bulk update situations. Please see the Update Trigger Configuration task for more information. OpenPages IF4 Navigating Activity View child objects throws ROCNBC when one of the children has a lot of grandchildren. (PI49702) Some proxy servers not accepting HTTP requests from Add New feature. 5 IBM OpenPages GRC Platform IF5 ReadMe 5 of 13 Before You Begin Prerequisite Software Prior to installing IBM OpenPages GRC Platform IF5, OpenPages or subsequent interim fix must be installed. Information You Need The IF5 requires the following information. For the OpenPages application update: o The existing installation path of the OpenPages application server. o The existing installation path of the IBM WebSphere server. Task 1: Stop all Services Stop all services including the following: OpenPages application and workflow services IBM Cognos service OpenPages Framework Model Generator service Command Center Service Note: For details on stopping services, see the Starting and Stopping Servers chapter in the IBM OpenPages GRC Platform Administrator s Guide. Task 2: Backup Backup the current application code using the following steps: 1. Create the <Backup> directory. 2. Navigate to the <op-apps> directory for your installation. 3. Copy the following files from the above directory to the <Backup> directory created in Step 1. aurora.jar opappsosaupdate.jar opappcommon.jar opappcommontools.jar opappcomponents.jar opappsosa.jar opfastmap.jar 4. Navigate to the <applications> directory for your installation. 5. Copy the following files from the above directory to the <Backup> directory. op-apps.ear opappstools.ear 6. Navigate to the <sosa>/tookits/openpages/widget directory for your installation. 7. Copy the following files from the above directory to the <backup> directory. OPObjectListView.js 8. Navigate to the <sosa>/dojo_1.8.4/dojo directory for your installation. 9. Copy the following files from the above directory to the <Backup> directory. dojo.js 10. Navigate to the <sosa>/op_style/default directory for your installation. 11. Copy the following files from the <sosa>/op_style/default directory to the <Backup> directory. open_pages.css 12. If you have installed the optional Solutions components, navigate to the <sosa>/wizard directory for your installation. 13. Copy the following files from the <sosa>/wizard directory to the <Backup> directory. OPS_ResourceLink.jsp 14. Navigate to the <Workflow_deployment> directory for your installation. 15. Copy the following files from the above directory to the <Backup> directory. op-ibpm-integration.ear 16. Navigate to the <Workflow_Home>\profiles\<server>- IBPMNode1\installedApps\IBPMCell\op-ibpm-integration.ear directory for your installation. 17. Copy the following files from the above directory to the <Backup> directory. op-integration.jar 18. Skip this step if you have previously applied IF 2. On all reporting (Cognos) servers, create a backup directory and then backup <OP_Home>\CommandCenter\apache-tomcat\webapps\crf-refresher\WEB- INF\lib\reporting.jar

Copy the following SQL scripts from the Database\Oracle folder to a location on the local machine no-op.sql sql-wrapper.sql OP X-database-patch-properties.bat.sh OP database-patch.bat.sh OP opx-procedure-upgrade.sql pkb_op_utilities sql OP database-patch.bat.sh OP opx-core-data-upgrade.sql 2. Update properties in the OP X-database-patch-properties.bat.sh 3. Run OP database-patch.bat.sh Task 4: Apply Database Changes (DB2 and Oracle) If you have not previously installed to this environment, then update the application database by following the steps below: 1. Navigate to the <op-apps> directory for your installation. 2. Copy the following files from this kit to the <op-apps> directory. aurora.jar opappsosaupdate.jar opappcommon.jar opappcommontools.jar opappcomponents.jar opappsosa.jar opfastmap.jar 3. Copy the following files from this kit to the <sosa>/toolkits/openpages/widget directory OPObjectListView.js 4. Navigate to the <sosa>/dojo_1.8.4/dojo directory for your installation. 5. Copy the following files from this kit to the <sosa>/dojo_1.8.4/dojo directory dojo.js 6. Navigate to the <sosa>/op_style/default directory for your installation. 7. Copy the following files from this kit to the <sosa>/op_style/default directory open_pages.css 8. If you have installed the optional Solutions components, navigate to the <sosa>/wizard directory for your installation. 9. Copy the following files from this kit to the <sosa>/wizard directory OPS_ResourceLink.jsp 10. Navigate to the <applications> directory for your installation. 11. Copy the following files from this kit to the <applications> directory. op-apps.ear opappstools.ear 12. Copy the following files from this kit to the <Workflow_deployment> directory. op-ibpm-integration.ear 13. Copy the following files from this kit to the <Workflow_Home>\profiles\<server>- IBPMNode1\installedApps\IBPMCell\op-ibpm-integration.ear directory. op-integration.jar 14. Repeat on all node and secondary servers. 15. Skip this step if you have previously applied IF2. On all reporting (Cognos) servers, replace <OP_Home>\CommandCenter\apache-tomcat\webapps\crfrefresher\WEB-INF\lib\reporting.jar, with the one from this kit. Task 6: Start all Services Start all services including the following: OpenPages application and workflow services IBM Cognos service OpenPages Framework Model Generator service Command Center Service Note: For details on starting services, see the Starting and Stopping Servers chapter in the IBM OpenPages GRC Platform Administrator s Guide. Task 7: Regenerate reporting framework Skip this step if you have previously applied IF 2. In order for the reporting framework changes to be fully implemented, the reporting framework must be regenerated. If you are not reporting on CLOB fields, this step is optional. For instructions on regenerating the framework, please consult your IBM OpenPages GRC Platform Administrator s Guide or view the online documentation via this link.

9 IBM OpenPages GRC Platform IF5 ReadMe 9 of 13 Task 8: Update Trigger Configuration This step is only needed if you make use of Solutions or custom triggers. Traditionally, trigger execution was performed in a serial fashion due to there being no facility to update objects in bulk in a parallel manner. With the new bulk update functionality of the Grid View, this is no longer the case. If multiple objects are updated, the update occurs in parallel in order to enhance performance. It has been found that there are trigger use cases where these parallel updates can cause inconsistent trigger behavior. For example, if a trigger were designed to: 1. Get a list of all peer objects assigned to it's parent. 2. Update a parent field if all child objects (peers of the object being updated) are in a specific state. In this scenario, the update to the parent might never occur if several of the peers were being updated in parallel, as no peer would see all the other peers in the correct state. For users of Solutions Triggers If you use the Risk Approval Submission Create and/or Risk Approval Submission Update triggers, please perform the following steps: 1. Check out the file _trigger_config_.xml from the OpenPages repository (see Configuring Triggers in the IBM OpenPages GRC Platform Trigger Developer Guide) 2. Open the file in a text editor. 3. Search for the string: trigger name="risk Approval Submission Create" 4. Scroll down until you find the line beginning with: exclusiveoperationby 5. Change the value from: com.openpages.ext.solutions.triggers.riskapprovalsubmissiontriggeraction to: com.openpages.ext.solutions.triggers.riskapprovalexclusiveoperationkey 6. Search for the string : 7. Scroll down until you find the line beginning with: exclusiveoperationby 8. Change the value from: com.openpages.ext.solutions.triggers.riskapprovalsubmissiontriggeraction to: com.openpages.ext.solutions.triggers.riskapprovalexclusiveoperationkey 9. Save the file 10. Check in the file to the OpenPages repository. An example _trigger_config_.xml is included in this kit and it has the above patch applied. For users of Custom Triggers To alleviate parallel execution issue there is a trigger configuration mechanism to force trigger execution to be performed serially. It should be noted that this will slow down bulk updates on objects that have a trigger set to serial execution. Enabling this behavior is done in the trigger configuration file. 1. Check out the file _trigger_config_.xml from the OpenPages repository (see Configuring Triggers in the IBM OpenPages GRC Platform Trigger Developer Guide) 2. Locate the definition of the trigger you would like to force to run serially. 3. Locate the <action type> tag. 4. Add a new attribute to this tag: exclusiveoperationby="uniquekeystring" The value uniquekeystring can be any string that uniquely identifies a key (or queue) for trigger serialization. Typically, each trigger will receive their own key. If two triggers might adversely interact if run in parallel, they can use the same exclusiveoperationby key to make both triggers run serially in the same queue. A suggested key format is to use the name of the trigger class. For example, if a trigger class was called com.mycompany.mytriggerclass, the key name could be com.mycompany.mytriggerclasskey. 5. Repeat as needed for other triggers. 6. Save the file. 7. Check it back into the OpenPages repository.

To uninstall IBM OpenPages GRC Platform IF5 perform the following tasks. Task 1: Stop all Services Stop all services including the following: OpenPages application and workflow services IBM Cognos service OpenPages Framework Model Generator service Note: For details on stopping services, see the Starting and Stopping Servers chapter in the IBM OpenPages GRC Platform Administrator s Guide. Task 2: Restore OpenPages Application Code Run the installation steps again, but use the files from the <Backup> directory rather than the IF5 kit. Task 3: Start all Services Start all services including the following: OpenPages application and workflow services IBM Cognos service OpenPages Framework Model Generator service Note: For details on starting services, see the Starting and Stopping Servers chapter in the IBM OpenPages GRC Platform Administrator s Guide. Task 4: Regenerate reporting framework Only required if you are reverting to or IF1 In order for the reporting framework changes to be fully implemented, the reporting framework must be regenerated. If you are not reporting on CLOB fields, this step is optional. For instructions on regenerating the framework, please consult your IBM OpenPages GRC Platform Administrator s Guide or view the online documentation via this link.
