2 SCADA Expert ClearSCADA 2013 R1.1 Release Notes SCADA Expert ClearSCADA 2013 R1.1 is the first service pack release of SCADA Expert ClearSCADA 2013 R1. This release contains a number of product enhancements. Its main purpose is to resolve known issues with SCADA Expert ClearSCADA 2013 R1 to improve performance and reliability. Product Enhancements A new field called Windows User Name has been added to the properties form of the user object. This can be used when the Windows User Authentication feature is enabled. If a value is provided in this field, then when the SCADA Expert ClearSCADA user logs on, the Windows Authentication is done using the value provided in the Windows User Name field instead of the username in SCADA Expert ClearSCADA. This provides the user with the flexibility to use Windows usernames that do not follow SCADA Expert ClearSCADA user naming conventions (allows dots, numeric only usernames etc.). The ODBC driver connection string now supports passwords with semicolons. The passwords are enclosed in curly brackets. Added support for VT_EMPTY in the FORMATVAL function. The FORMATVAL function will now return an empty string if the second parameter is VT_EMPTY. Updated the Crystal Reports runtime to support service pack 5. Graphs will now display historic data from a server that has not finished synchronising historic, in the same way that historic lists already do. "Data may be incomplete" is displayed in front of any trace that is sourced from a server that is not fully synchronised. Improved the diagnostics available in historian file handling. Extra errors will be logged to the DBServer log file on file errors, and also a new logging class is available on historic, event journal and configuration changes that allows very detailed file access logging. A new field called "Thread Exec Count" has been added to the "Standby Links" section in the Server Status tool. This shows the thread activity of the standby link thread, and can be monitored to be sure that the standby link thread is processing as expected. Added options to IEC60870 Slave to control whether data is returned with time tags. Two check boxes have been added to the IEC slave outstation form: o The first field controls whether timestamps are added to values that are returned because of an interrogation request. o The second field controls whether timestamps are added to values that are being returned spontaneously (events generated in the value maps). 3 OPC Factory Server SCADA Expert ClearSCADA OFS (OPC Factory Server) is a multi-controller data server that enables communications with all new and legacy Schneider Electric hardware using any combination of supported protocols. OFS provides easy, real-time access to Modicon controllers as well as Modbus devices. The OPC Factory Server has been included as part of the installer for SCADA Expert ClearSCADA 2013 R1.1. This can be installed by enabling the checkbox for the OPC Factory Server in the pre-requisites screen during the installation. Resolved Issues Drivers For SNMP points with quality other than good, the value is now overridden so that the raw value is sent instead of the current value. Advanced Drivers DNP3 Corrected the maintenance of CurrentChannelId property in Advanced Driver Switched Sets. Fixed a crash in the DNP3 driver which occurred when an Inbound Connection is transferred when the outstation is healthy. SCADAPack E WITS SCADAPack E analogue points will now not show as requiring configuration download if the fields changed are not downloaded to the outstation. Also, corrected the enable expression for event deviation fields on SCADAPack E analogue points so that the fields can be modified even when the outstation firmware version has not been read. Ensured that enabling SCADAPack E Analogue profile limits records a Configuration Change against affected points and counters. Fixed reading of device attributes from a DNP3 outstation that is configured with Enable Unsolicited Messages on Comms Start disabled and the Start Communications Message set to Read Device Attributes and the device has restarted. 4 didn't have any data sets and therefore it didn't read the data set prototypes and descriptors, which in turn meant that it couldn't process any data set objects from the outstation. This configuration is typically used with a WITS outstation using radio comms (so unsolicited is disabled). Fixed crash in DNP3 driver when a WITS outstation has generic DNP3 points attached to it and it receives a WITS point event data set for a generic DNP3 point. IEC60870 Prevent possible IEC60870 driver crash when scanner is shut down whilst there are outstanding requests. Prevent IEC Slave raising spurious Primary Poll timeout alarms. Kingfisher Fixed the problem in Kingfisher Analogue points where the wrong configuration field was being identified when the Raw Scaling is out of bounds. Simple Drivers The current transaction state of simple driver devices and points is now transferred to the standby. Fixed "Access Denied" error when connecting the OPC driver to remote OPC servers ViewX Corrected the red crosses displayed on groups (Invalid Configuration Count) during import, import/merge and moving objects in and out of templates. Prevented some crashes related to poor dialog management on inactivity logout/shutdown. Corrected behaviour of copying of Object Notes, ACL and Colour Palette on objects when the instance containing the object is converted from one template to another. Ensured that the ConfigTime and ConfigUser fields are updated for objects in instances when enabling/disabling aggregates on a template via the Automation interface. Removed the error message displayed when trying to set override for multiple optional aggregates using the Automation interface. A version check has been added to the override dialog so that if the server minor version is 69 or higher it ignores the Always Override flag. Fixed a ViewX crash that occurred when dragging a trace onto a trend while the ruler dialog is on display. SCADA Expert ClearSCADA 2013 R1.1 Release Notes Page 4 of 6

5 Logic Prevented declaration of huge arrays in Structured Text logic programs that would exceed the logic memory limit. Compilation now generates an error. Fixed problem where a Logic program executing a query on a Linked OBDC table failed to resume correctly after connection to the external data source is lost or restored. Fixed parsing of milliseconds for Logic type TIME. Ensured that the 'Show/Hide Variables' menu options are available when displaying a Function Block Library in Run mode. Prevented server crash when RETAIN is used with indirect Logic tags. Fixed parsing for Logic TIME and TIME_OF_DAY types to handle 'zero times' specifically, e.g."00:00:00.000". Prevented a ViewX crash that could occur when attaching an unsaved Function Block Library to a Structured Text program and then saving. The tab order for the controls in the 'Add Direct variable' dialog has been corrected. Server Fixed a possible server exception that could occur when a connection that is logging on times out before the logon message has been processed. Also added extra logging options for Server Link Reference Counting. Fixed the.netapi Get/Set Property/Properties, Set Aggregate and Invoke Method functions to be executed in a worker thread. Corrected the selection of the required database lock for proxied.net API server requests. Corrected parsing of multiple TLS 1.1 frames when using block encryption methods. Redundancy Improved link Rejects state for dual network systems. In cases where one link returns 'Main' and the other returns 'Rejected', the two states are rationalised to Rejected. This will cause the standby server to go into the Configuration Problem state and the server icon to become pink. The Server Status tool on the standby server in a Hot-Standby pair will now show the state of the server (for example, Synchronising Historic data ). This is also displayed in the System Status dialog in ViewX. Fixed a problem where the standby server could throw an exception when a logged on user is deleted. The ICMP configuration fields have been re-enabled in the Server Configuration tool for permanent standby Partner configurations. SCADA Expert ClearSCADA 2013 R1.1 Release Notes Page 5 of 6

6 Miscellaneous The Load Configuration and Standby Transfer entries have been removed from the list of available 'Origins' for Configuration Changes Auditing in Server Configuration Tool since they are automatic and have no user context associated with them. Ensured that dictionary translations are used as appropriate when viewing/modifying annotations on trends. Log files for the exception zip file are now sorted based on the file number rather than the file name. Added total locks and locks per second to lock diagnostics. Also fixed a potential deadlock when resetting the lock diagnostics as part of the snapshot logging. Please note that this facility is disabled by default. Added Internet Explorer minimum version check on Setup.exe to warn on machines with less than the necessary version (8.0). The installer will now throw an error when trying to install SCADA Expert ClearSCADA on a machine with an unsupported version of Internet Explorer installed. The dialogs in the Server Configuration tool are now forced to close when the server goes offline. Prevented the 'State' column name from vanishing when moved up and down in the Alarm List Sort dialog in WebX. ClearSCADA Mobile Renamed the "Description" field in "Mobile Display" and "Mobile Query" objects to "MobileDesc". Fixed "Mobile Companion" error when attempting to read Mobile Display and Mobile Query objects with "Emulate Server Version" set in the server. ClearSCADA Mobile Configuration utility provides better indication when long operations occur. Added headers to log files generated by ClearSCADA Mobile.
