1 Requirements: Installation of OEL5.4 in windows machine (64 bit) 1. Virtual Box software (VirtualBox Win) Go to the link and click on the below setup file for download. Platform Windows (32-bit/64-bit) File Download this from : VirtualBox Win.exe 2. OEL5.4 iso file (Enterprise-R5-U4-Server-x86) Download this from Downloading OEL 5.4 from If you don t have login credentials go head and register which is free. 4 After completion of downloading Virtual Box and OEL 5.4 isofile. First of all install the Virtual Box in your windows system. Will get an Icon on desktop screen Double Click on that icon Then will get the screen as above. Now click on new button on Top of left side Fallow us on FACEBOOK Group DBA TECHNOLOGIES DSNR Page 4

5 Give the Name: LINUX, Type: Linux, Version: Oracle (64bit) and Click on Next Give the Memory size as per the resources. Note: should be half the size of RAM. and should not give whole RAM space. 7 Click on Next Button Give the location where you are having enough space on disk using this icon. Note: Before doing this Give the Location to create a Virtual Hard drive and mention the size as per your resources (example 100g.b) Click on Create Button. 13 Mount point: /, Size: as per your resource and click on OK. And click on new and Give the file system: swap Give the swap size as double of the RAM size.
