6 Vijeo Citect SCADA Brief Overview The V7.0 release will provide plant managers and operators with a more holistic picture of real-time data values and traceability via the quality of time stamped data, providing richer tag information for all tags. Application of changes during production will be much more rapid via server-side online changes, eliminating the need to restart or interrupt the system. The V7.0 release also provides enhanced data protection built into Microsoft Windows 7, helping you manage risk through enhanced security and control. These V7.0 enhancements are designed to help engineers and operators deploy, run and maintain your plant systems quicker, simpler and easier. With its latest OFSOPC driver, the integration with all Schneider Electric devices and PLCs has become more seamless. Moreover, integrating real-time video from Pelco IP cameras into SCADA screens provides a great opportunity to maximise both operator effectiveness and business performance. It is highly recommended that you subscribe to the Forums for the Drivers that you use, so that you are alerted as soon as any updates occur. 12 Vijeo Citect SCADA License Transfer / Reprogramming Fee (VJC090) This part number has been renamed; previously it was the reprogramming fee. It now only applies for reprogramming due to a license transfer. This part number is to be used for license changes on a key except when a new license is added or an existing license point count is expanded. Examples of when this fee is applied include: transfer of a license from one key to another moving a client license from a fixed key to a floating license on a server moving an existing floating license to a new fixed key removal of a license from an existing key (when not transferring to another key) changing a control client to a view-only client license re-issue of license for a replacement key Removal or downgrade (license type or point count) of licenses on a key will require a key swap where a new key is issued and the existing key must be returned. Removal or downgrade of a license does not provide any refund or credit. When moving a license to an existing key that already contains license(s), the license being moved must be the same point count as the existing license. Note: When placing an order please indicate the key numbers and details in the special instructions. Note: This provides only a new authorization code, if a new key is required then you also need to purchase a new hardware key (VJC099xx). License Reprogramming Fee VJC Additional Drivers (VJC0xxx) The Vijeo Citect offer includes a very large number of drivers as standard. Because of intellectual property and associated rights, some drivers have a special reference and must be ordered separately. Drivers can only be added to a Server license or Lite license. The purchase of Specialty Drivers does not include technical support. Technical support for Specialty Drivers needs to be purchased separately. Please refer to the SCADA Technical Support DMDI for more information. Time limited ( hour) versions of these drivers are shipped and installed from the Vijeo Citect product DVD. The customer is required to purchase a license to remove the time limitation from the driver. The specialty driver DNPr (VJC0) part number has been removed, as the DNPr driver is now included with the Vijeo Citect release. 14 Vijeo Historian Breif Overview of Vijeo Historian Vijeo Historian V.0 supersedes Vijeo Historian V. and V.0. Vijeo Historian is a plant-wide Historian that collects histories and delivers reporting from multiple SCADA systems. Data can be collected from Vijeo Citect via the API or other SCADA systems via OPC. Data can also be collected from OPC compliant devices. Vijeo Historian utilizes an embedded Microsoft (MS) SQL Server, and provides a combination of powerful data storage and performance. The result is an accessible, easy-to-use and secure reporting tool. Additional out of the box reports are provided using the Historian Reports Deployment Manager for Alarms, Tags, Alarm Management and Energy. 15 Vijeo Historian Vijeo Historian Licensing Vijeo Historian licensing is tiered where each tier represents an aspect of licensing. Connectors Data can be collected from: Vijeo Citect - unlimited connections included OPC DA - part number VJH0 ordered per connection NEW Historian database can be connected to other databases for upload and download: SQL Connector - One MS SQL Server connector included Additional SQL connectors VJH00 ordered separately Oracle Connector VJH0 ordered separately Connectivity can be made to Ampla or any MES system that has a OPC/HDA client. Vijeo Historian has a OPC/HDA server included Historian The historian license is based on the amount of data that is being stored (VJH0xx). The number of points is the maximum number of tags being historised and stored in the system. The number of alarms stored is unlimited. i.e 0 tags stored - VJH0 CALs (Client Access Licenses) Data from the Historian can be viewed in several ways: Portal CALS Using the Web and Excel Clients provided with the Historian will require Portal CALs. These CALs can be ordered either per seat or per server (CPU). This application uses Microsoft Reporting Services. HRDM is used to deploy and run the standard reports bundle that have been developed to run out of the box. These reports are preconfigured and require parameters to be set using the drop down box. 17 Vijeo Historian Upgrade From Vijeo Historian v.0/v. to Vijeo Historian v.0 The Vijeo Citect V.0 authorization codes are available on the Citect web site for products ordered within less than one year or for customers who have renewed their site support. The next topic details the authorization code delivery through the Citect web site.
