Fr Windws cmputers: T sign in t Supprt Center using a single sign-n accunt, yu must turn n the Transprt Layer Security (TLS) 1.2 setting in Internet Explrer. Data Center Strage This sectin specifies the strage requirements fr the Data Center. 4 Each Data Center envirnment has different requirements and different hardware fr data prtectin. T btain a strage sizing estimate based n yur needs and yur server envirnment, cntact yur Sales Representative. Web Servers This sectin identifies the installatin requirements fr Cnnected Backup Web Services applicatins that yu install n Web Servers. Web Server Hardware This sectin specifies the hardware requirements fr Web Servers. NOTE Web Services applicatins have the fllwing deplyment requirements: Accunt Management Website (AMWS) In a standalne envirnment, AMWS can reside n its wn server r the Data Center server. In a mirrred r clustered envirnment, AMWS cannt reside n the Data Center server. It can reside n the same server as Supprt Center. Supprt Center In a standalne envirnment, Supprt Center can reside n its wn server r the Data Center server. In a mirrred envirnment, Supprt Center shuld nt reside n the Data Center server. It can reside n the same server as AMWS. In a clustered envirnment, Supprt Center must nt reside n the Data Center server. It can reside n the same server as AMWS. Management API and Data Transfer API must reside either n their wn servers r n the same server. They cannt reside n the Data Center server r any ther server that hsts Cnnected Backup cmpnents. 5 Cmpnent AMWS server: 50 GB Supprt Center server: 10 GB Management API: 150 GB Data Transfer API: 150 GB (recmmended) Each retrieval requires temprary space that is equal t twice the estimated retrieval size. The recmmended amunt f disk space is 150 GB, which supprts file retrievals up t 75 GB. The sftware requires this space n the drive where yu install the Data Transfer API. Web Server Sftware This sectin specifies the sftware requirements fr Web servers. Data Center and Web Server Virtualizatin This sectin lists the virtualizatin specificatins fr the Cnnected Backup Data Center and Web Servers: All Cnnected Backup servers may run as virtual machines. Mst mdern virtual machine implementatins supprt Cnnected Backup servers. Fr any limitatins that may prevent Cnnected Backup frm functining crrectly, cnsult yur VM sftware prvider. The dedicated resurces, such as CPU, memry, bandwidth, and strage must meet the minimum requirements. Als, they must be dedicated t exclusive use fr Cnnected Backup and nt pled with ther virtual machines (althugh a VM hst culd include ther virtual machines). It is suggested that all VM instances f Cnnected Backup meet the recmmended rather than the minimum resurce requirements. Virtualizatin f client machines is nt supprted fr Cnnected Backup Agents due t knwn issues in the virtual machines. SSO Service Prvider This sectin identifies the cnfiguratin requirements fr Cnnected Backup t utilize a Single Sign-On Service Prvider such as Ping Federate. This enables the Cnnected Backup Data Center t have Single Sign-On (SSO) cmmunities and technician IDs. The Agent service can back up files withut.net installed. Nte: If nt installed n the PC, fr interactive installatins, the Agent installer prmpts whether t autmatically install.net (Full editin). Fr silent installatins, the first time the user starts the Agent, the Agent prmpts whether t autmatically install.net (Full editin). Disk space 1 GB (which depends n the size f the data backed up) plus the fllwing amunt f space: Fr pen file handling that uses the Micrsft Vlume Shadw Cpy service (VSS), a minimum f 10% f the ttal strage space must be free n a backed-up NTFS vlume. If yu use Cnnected Optimizer, disk space in the amunt f 1.5 times the size f all PST and NSF files that yu plan t back up must be free.
