Even when running an app Settings > General > Multitasking and Dock has an option to not show most recently used apps. You can now put a folder into the Dock

3 Multitasking ipad only Drag and App out of the dock while another app is running will have it float and dragging up on the bar of the floating app should turn it into a split screen. You can swipe it to the right will remove it from your screen. Keep dragging up from the bottom to not only display the dock, but, the dock, active apps as well as the control center This one is odd, but, go to Safari, find a page, click the URL and drag. Then, flick up with your other hand to expose the dock and drag the URL on an many apps that supports text. This is so much slower than the share option :) Drag and Drop You can place two applications side by side in split view and drag the content from one to the other For example, dragging highlighted text from Safari into Notes. However! as of November 2017 only a handful of third party apps supported this. Most of Apple s Apps do.

4 New in ios 11 iphone / ipad Screen Record Does exactly what it says. Allows you to easily record your screen Settings > Control Panel > Customize Controls Once that is done access the control panel and select the recording option. The option will not show in the control panel unless you toggle it on. Once you click record you will see an option to toggle the microphone on or off A red bar will be on the top of your screen letting you know you are recording Click on the red bar to stop recording Screen recording will be saved to the camera roll

8 ARKit An Augmented Reality Toolkit that Apple designed to allow app developers to call to it bypassing each app having to code AR on their own Opens the door to many apps tapping into AR with only a small amount of coding These AR apps will not work on older devices, and, not all AR apps use ARKit, so, you will find a variety of VR apps working and not working depending on the age of your device.

33 Setting Changes Do Not Disturb while driving Hiding within Settings > Do Not Disturb Can set it to auto, manual or when connected to a cars Bluetooth Can also custom set a message that people will receive if you are driving. You can also add this to your control center (Custom Controls)

Don t use the device Settings > Battery. See whats gnawing on your battery Battery Saving Settings > General > Background App Refresh. Turn it off! Settings > SIRI and Search. Turn off Hey Siri Settings > Privacy > Location Sharing. Turn as much of that stuff off that makes logical sense to you Settings > Brightness. Disable Auto Brightness and also disable Raise to Wake Settings > Notifications. Turn off notifications from the apps you do not care about Settings > Accounts and Passwords. Select Fetch New Data. Don t be so pushy Settings > Privacy > Analytics. Become self centered and care less about sharing your bugs with Apple Settings > Privacy > Advertising. Toggle on limit ad tracking Settings > itunes and Apps. Turn off Automatic Downloads

Pay friends via text messaging Plan was to use Apple Pay and make the payment a debit card type of thing Airplay 2 Would have allowed you to control multiple music sources at once from your ios device!
