The student ID number is an optional field. The sign in name can simply be the student s first name, but please note that this may create duplicates that will have to be edited. 2. The maximum length for first and last names is 10 characters each. Any names longer than this will be truncated upon import. The accepted characters for first and last names are all letters, upper and lower case, periods, apostrophes, hyphens and blank spaces. Numbers and all other characters will not be accepted. (Continued on next page) 3. The maximum length for sign in names and student ID numbers is 12 characters each. Any names or numbers longer than this will be truncated upon import. The accepted characters for sign in names and student ID numbers are all letters, upper and lower case, numbers, periods, apostrophes, hyphens and blank spaces.
