3 Job Name Server Job Name Server is a small utility that runs in the background of the PC. It is the main method for executing jobs at the MultiCam by DNC. DNC ( Direct Numerical Control ) Job Name Server allows the operator to use the DNC key at the Keypad and execute jobs.

4 Job Name Server Setting up Job Name Server Start\Program Files\MulticamS4\Job Name Server This displays the main JNS window.

5 Job Name Server - Digitize Digitize is the component that captures the digitizing output from the rapid shape and 3D scanners. The only option in Digitize is the folder that the files will be saved. Files will be stored folder with the number that is keyed in at the digitize prompt on the keypad with DIG added and a cnc extension. Ex filename 12345DIG.cnc Digitized files are Gcode & DXF.

8 Job Console This program is the main graphical interface between a machine tool and the operator. This program allows the operator to: Preview jobs Execute jobs Monitor the jobs progress Pause the job Resume the job Prox Restart to a specified point

9 Job Console Preference on Auto Preview or Not Not Required Real Time Monitor Requires Param 206 to be Enabled Must be connected to a controller.

18 Job Editor - Bar Code Setup Click on FILE \ PREFERENCES In the Printing Options Frame Choose between 1D and 2D barcode Old scanners will read 1D, All current scanners will read 2D. For 1D Select the bar code font that works for the selected printer. You may have to try several different fonts depending on the quality of the printer.

26 What is Motion Mechanic? Terminal Window is the main screen of Motion Mechanic. See direct communications to the controller. Motion mechanic is the program that we use to: Program the controller Display errors during file execution Change parameters Use Ucito Commands to Diagnose and repair errors Pro s for using MM. Can enter all commands directly Can get immediate feedback for errors Con s for using MM. The are a few things you can do that will render the controller useless.

27 Capture Files Capturing files is one of the most important things to be able to do. What to capture? Parameter files Init files Boot sequence Error codes Anything else in the terminal window

28 MM Drop Down Menus There are 2 drop down menu s in the MM window The left drop down is a list of standard terminal commands 3 boot levels 3 keypad commands The right drop down menu is a running list of commands that have been entered during the current session.

29 Send Files Sending a file is just like typing in the entire file by hand. What might be sent (vs Stored) to the controller? Parameter files Macro Translated job files or HPGL files The controller will execute sent files line by line as it receives it and does not save the file after completion. Obtain Echo, & Files/Send File

30 Store Files Controllers are loaded with Inits, Firmware, and Modules by storing files. Files are stored in locations. The 2 location has a reserved spot in the flash chip
