5 1 Introduction 1.1 Introduction to project GigaCentral is the one place for everything in your company. Its customized encryption feature enables secure hybrid storage for all your corporate and personal working files, while you can access them from all your devices. With the new Place Holder technology and the stable performance of the Appliance, you will get unlimited disk space for all your files. 1.2 Overview This document serves as a basic functional user guide for end users using the Android operating system to access GigaCentral. 2 Getting Started 2.1 Installation 1. Obtain the installation from GigaCentral - Google Play. 2. Navigate to your Android s Downloads folder and click on the GigaCentral installer. 3.

6 2 Getting Started 2.1 Installation 1. Obtain the installation from GigaCentral - Google Play. 2. Navigate to your Android s Downloads folder and click on the GigaCentral installer. 3. Select Install when prompted to begin installation. 4. GigaCentral icon will be available upon a successful installation. 2.2 Activation 1. Launch the GigaCentral by tapping on the GigaCentral Icon. 2. Click Activate Your Device on GigaCentral activation screen and enter the following details: a. GigaCentral URL b. Your Login credentials 3. Click Save. 4. An account activation request will be routed to your GigaCentral administrator for first time activation. This is the preferred mode of setting up as your administrator may have already pre-configured your storage(s)

7 3 Setting up File Storage(s) 3.1 Retrieval of storage settings You may manually retrieve the latest storage settings from the server. This is the preferred mode of setting up as your administrator may have already pre-configured your storage(s) for you. 1. Click on GigaCentral Settings via. 2. Select Storage Settings. 3. Select Retrieve Server Storage Settings. 4. Click Yes if you would like to overwrite your current storage settings. 5. 8 4 GigaCentral Settings You may access these features by clicking on GigaCentral Settings via. Allows you to determine the limit on the size of files that can be handled by GigaCentral, via file functions such as download/ upload, copy, cut paste etc. Default values: 3G: 10MB Wi-Fi: 100MB Maximum limit: 100MB Allows you to configure a passcode lock to access GigaCentral. A default passcode can be applied to GigaCentral upon installation and activation of GigaCentral. Please contact your GigaCentral administrator for more information. Resets the apps to factory setting Automatically sends crash report when GigaCentral Crashes Allows you to configure GigaCentral to trigger a prompt during activity performed on a mobile 3G network. Allows you to access and edit GigaCentral settings such as GigaCentral web service URL, login credentials. Allows you to choose which file to view if you have another copy of the file in the Local Files. Allows you to access and edit Storage settings. Allows you to view the version of GigaCentral that you are using Allows you to recommend GigaCentral to other organisations via . Check the Erase Data box if you wish to delete all GigaCentral files upon 10 failed passcode attempts.

9 4.1 Passcode Lock 1. Select the checkbox to enable passcode lock. 2. Enter your desired passcode 3. Re-enter your new GigaCentral passcode. 4. To change passcode, click on the change passcode tab and you will be prompted to enter the new passcode. 5. Check the Erase Data box if you wish to delete all GigaCentral files upon 10 failed passcode attempts Note: If you wish to disable passcode lock, uncheck the box. 10 5 Using GigaCentral 5.1 Navigation panels Tap to toggle between online and offline mode Contains files that have been shared to you via GigaCentral internal sharing Contains Files that you have shared via GigaCentral for internal and external recipients Contains files saved into GigaCentral from external New files Files uploaded to the storage after your last visit. Cached files Files available to you even in offline mode Contains storages, folders, or files which were marked as favourite. Storage sites configured in GigaCentral To configure GigaCentral settings 5.2 Online/offline mode You may toggle GigaCentral online and offline by tapping on the GigaCentral status icon on the top right of the application. 5.3 File status Cached files Files available to you even in offline mode. 11 6 Manage File 6.1 Access file 1. Navigate to the file using the navigation panel 2. Files will be displayed on the file list panel of GigaCentral. 3. File details such filename, last updated time and file size will be displayed next to the file icon. 6.2 Open file 1. Navigate to the file you wish to open 2. Click on a file. 3. The file will be opened in the file viewer. 6.3 File options You will be able to access various GigaCentral file options by holding on the file of your choice. A pop-up menu will be opened. 13 7 Manage Folder 7.1 Selected folder options You will be able to access various GigaCentral folder options by holding on the folder of your choice. A pop-up menu will be opened. 8 Share file/folder 8.1 Internal Share GigaCentral enables you to share folder and files to other internal GigaCentral users. 1. Click on the icon of the folder/file that you wish to share. 2.

14 8 Share file/folder 8.1 Internal Share GigaCentral enables you to share folder and files to other internal GigaCentral users. 1. Click on the icon of the folder/file that you wish to share. 2. The options to share will be at the top. Click on Share button. 3. Click on the icon to add recipients that you would like to share the folder/file to. Search contacts from your company s address book. You can select recipients from AD users, group and distribution lists respectively Select the Expiration checkbox if you want to set validity of the file you are sending. You can choose an absolute date and time to determine its validity. 5. Enter the Subject and Message to inform recipient about the file that you are sharing through Click on Share at the top right hand corner once you have entered and selected accordingly. 7. The notification will then be sent to the recipient(s). Note: Sharing of files is NOT applicable to storage folders that were created with Alternate Authentication enabled. 19 9.2 Favourites You can mark any file, folder, or storage as a favourites. Favourites can be accessed easily by tapping on the Favourites menu on the sidebar. 1. To add file or folder to Favourites: Tap and hold a file or folder, then tap options button on the top-right corner of the screen to reveal Add to Favourites option. 2. 20 10 Access File 10.1 Shared In 1. To access files shared by other internal users, click on Shared In 2. Files will be updated into the recipient s Shared In Folder in GigaCentral after the sharing is completed Shared Out 1. To access files shared out by you, click on Shared Out 2.
