Latest functions of the SmartLiving firmware version 5.10 This document contains a list of all the latest functions offered by the SmartLiving firmware version If you require further details, please feel free to contact us. Addition of option in compliance with EN grade 3 (refer to News about the SmartLiving system certification) Part 3 of EN (EN ) pertains to the control panels and signalling devices. This option is required in respect of EN In order for the control panel to comply with EN and EN , it is necessary that the options relating to grade 2 are also active, these options were already provided by previous firmware versions. Activation of these options involves changing the operating process of the control panel in accordance with the following indications: Deletion of fault memories If the EN grade 3 option is active, only the installer code can be used to delete fault memories. Reader lockout after 5 invalid key conditions If the EN grade 3 option is active, the readers will apply a 10 minute lockout after detection of 5 attempts to use an invalid key. Automatic unbypassing of zones on disarm If the EN grade 3 option is active, bypassed zones will be unbypassed automatically when the system is disarmed. Arm with faults If the EN grade 3 option is active and fault and/or lost peripheral conditions are present, the system will request entry of the installer code before arming. EN grade 3: addition of date/time change event A bistable-type event has been added in compliancy with EN This event will register an activation when any changes to the date and time are requested. Such activations will be saved to the events log with the old date/time. Once the changes have been implemented, the control panel will register a restoral event showing the new date/time.
Periodic events increased to 4 The control panel now manages 4 periodic events. All the data relating to these events can be programmed from the keypad. If the StartPeriodicEv. option is programmed for any event, it will always be the first of the 4 periodic event that will be forced. Changes to code hierarchy management The "Main User" option has been removed from the code hierarchy and a programming field providing 3 user code levels has been added: - User - Manager - Master The "User" level is the lowest level on the hierarchical scale, the "Manager" is intermediate and the "Master" holds the highest position. Codes will be allowed to delete other hierarchically inferior codes via User menu. Furthermore, codes will be able to program their own PINs and those of hierarchically inferior codes. In this way, the "Partition filter" option can continue to function and be used in the same way as it was previously. Addition of code programming menu in User functions A "Codes" option has been added to the last position of the User menu. Access to this menu allows changes to the programming parameters of dependent codes in accordance with their programmed hierarchical position. In this way, a "Master" code will be able to change all the "User" codes and all the "Manager" codes in accordance with the parameters they have in common (partitions, etc.). The "Master" code will be able to change the type of lower level codes but, obviously, will not be able to make them into "Master" codes. Failed call event The generating trigger of the failed call event has been changed. Now, this event is generated only at the end of all the call attempts to the specific phone number. Previously, this event was generated at the failure of each call. Furthermore, this spot event has been transformed into a bistable event. Restoral of this event will occur when a call to the phone number concerned is successful. Addition of a "Panic" shortcut The Panic shortcut can be programmed on each device that is capable of managing shortcuts (keypads, readers, keys, etc.). It must be programmed together with a parameter that contains the number of the
panic event which will be generated for the specific action (see following). This shortcut, like all other shortcuts, can be programmed from the keypad. Addition of "Panic" event 15 panic events have been added to all control panel models. These events can be associated as a parameter with panic shortcuts and will be generated each time the shortcut in question is requested. Addition of event for "Ongoing call on phone number 1" This event will activate at the start of a call to phone number 1 and will deactivate when the call ends (even if the call fails). Addition of event for "Ongoing call on phone number 15" This event will activate at the start of a call to phone number 15 and will deactivate when the call ends (even if the call fails). Addition of event for "Lost Internet connection" With the addition of this event, it is now possible to set the parameters of the connectivity test for both SmartLAN boards. This event will be generated when this option is enabled and the test fails. Provided the event is enabled, this condition will be saved to the control panel faults log and will activate the yellow LED on the keypad. Addition of event for "Lost GPRS connectivity" This event will be generated when the Nexus/G detects a GPRS connectivity problem and will end when GPRS connectivity restores. Also in this case, the data relating to real-time period of lost GPRS connectivity will be saved to the control panel faults log. Improved management of SIA-IP calls The channel used for SIA-IP calls will be selected automatically by the control panel in accordance with the connectivity conditions present at the time of sending. If, for example, both channels (Nexus/G and SmartLAN) are available when the Internet connection is not accessible, the call will be sent through the Nexus/G even though it is programmed to be sent through the SmartLAN. Obviously, the analysis of the situation will be inverted by the control panel when the GPRS, required by the Nexus/G, is unavailable. Addition of automatic enumeration for the Contact-ID codes of keypad zones The "Default settings" section now provides a menu for the enumeration of the Contact-ID codes of zones in accordance with their programming. The same function is already available on software version 5.00.
Addition of reset to default only SIA parameters for events The "Default settings" section now provides a menu which allows reset of only SIA parameters for all events. The date/time check algorithm for the periodic event has been refined. This check ensures that no periodic event is lost on exit of programming or after prolonged shutdown of the control panel. Addition of "Continuous periodic event" option (for each periodic event) If this option is active, the respective periodic event will be generated regardless of the start date of the set interval. The first periodic event will always be generated on exit of programming. Solid execution algorithm for several PC/Nexus commands The execution of the algorithm of external commands has been improved. Introduction of encryption management for SIA-IP protocol The control panel is now capable of managing the encryption of SIA-IP protocol. In order to allow this, it is necessary to upgrade the SmartLAN/G, SmartLAN/SI or Nexus with the firmware version capable of managing this type of communication. Improved management of the "ARM ONLY WHEN READY" zone option The management of the zone "NoArmIfNotReady" option has been greatly improved. Any partitions which have open zones with this attribute will not be armed, instead these zones will generate a failed partition arming event. Addition of "Sound alarm on keypad" event This option was available on the 5.00 version, but it could only be programmed through the quick programming menu (therefore only from the keypad). The 5.10 version allows selection of this option from the "Parameters" menu on the keypad and via the software application. Addition of partition data for SIA-IP protocol This protocol is now capable of sending the data of the partitions involved in the signalled events to the alarm receiving centre. In order to allow this, it is necessary to upgrade the SmartLAN/G, SmartLAN/SI or Nexus with the firmware version capable of managing this type of communication. Display active communication channel on keypad It is now possible to indicate graphically the active communication channel on the right-hand side of the Joy keypad. New symbols have been created to represent calls on Nexus, SIA-IP calls on Nexus and SIA-IP calls
on SmartLAN. The "T" will remain for communications over the PSTN. IP2RX account activation request A new option has been added under "Activations". This option initializes and sends a synchronism event to the IP2RX. If sent, the event activates a process that allows the IP2RX software to identify the "caller" panel and thus create a new account for it Display Nexus status The visualization of the Nexus status now allows you to view whether it is the "G" model or not. If it is not the "G" model two hyphens (--) will be shown at the end of the line (where the letter indicating the GPRS status is normally shown). Addition of "Single call for each event" option If this option is enabled, each event will generate one call only. The call will correspond to the first phone number programmed (in ascending order) for the event concerned. If different types of phone numbers are programmed for the same event, only the first number type will be called. For example, if Phone number 1 is a SIA-IP type number and Phone number 2 is a "CONTACT-ID" type number and an event occurs that is programmed to call both numbers, the system will initially call the first number and, only if this call fails, will it call the second number, otherwise the call process will stop at the end of the first communication. NOTE: The call options for all numbers of a specific type have priority over the action of this option. Active scenario enquiry via SMS It is now possible to view the active scenario via SMS. The SMS syntax must contain the code of the user who wishes to view the active scenario. In order to access this function, the Nexus must be upgraded to version The active scenario data will be sent in answer to the status enquiry. Display control panel serial number The "Other parameters" menu, accessed by entering the installer code, now allows viewing of the control panel serial number. Management of LIVPWR100 power supply board Within the next few months, INIM will release 3 new models of the SmartLiving control panel: - SmartLiving 1050/G3 - SmartLiving 1050L/G3 - SmartLiving 10100L/G3 These models will all comply with Grade 3 not only of the EN and EN but also with Grade 3
of EN To obtain this result, new power-supply modules ("intelligent" power-supply modules capable of exchanging information with the control panel motherboard) and a new board named LIVPWR100 are being introduced. The new power-supply modules and LIVPWR100 board will be supplied with SmartLiving 1050/G3, SmartLiving 1050L/G3 and SmartLiving 10100L/G3 models. The LIVPWR100 board provides 3 controlled power-supply outputs which allow instantaneous voltage and current consumption readings as well as providing information regarding current surge, short-circuit and current overload. The board also provides a power supply for the BUS with the same information as the controlled power-supply outputs. The LIVPWR100 board "talks" with the new "intelligent" power supplies which in turn charge and test the backup battery. In this way detailed information about the power-supply system will be available, such as: battery internal resistance, battery short-circuit, battery disconnected, overloaded power supply, overheated power supply. The SmartLiving "G3" models will be released as soon as the current certification process is complete. Therefore, all the new features described in this paragraph which are related to the LIVPWR100 board and/or the "intelligent" power-supply modules will be available for use only on the "G3" models at the moment of their release. The descriptions of these new functions have been included in this document because the 5.10 version is capable of managing them. The SmartLiving "G3" control panels managed the following events: - Internal resistance fault on battery This event will be generated when the internal resistance on the battery exceeds 1 Ohm. - Short-circuit on battery This event will be generated when the battery terminals are short-circuited. - Battery disconnected This event will be generated when the battery is not connected - Overloaded power supply This event will be generated when the power supply is required to supply a current that is superior to the nominal current. - Overheated power supply This event will be generated when the temperature values of the critical components of the power supply are too high. - Ground fault This event will be generated when current dispersion to earth on the AC power line is detected.
- Overvoltage output 1 - Low voltage output 1 - Short-circuit output 1 - Overload output 1 - Overvoltage output 2 - Low voltage output 2 - Short-circuit output 2 - Overload output 2 - Overvoltage output 3 - Low voltage output 3 - Short-circuit output 3 - Overload output 3 - Overvoltage BUS - Low voltage BUS output - Short-circuit BUS output - Overload output BUS output The overvoltage, low voltage, short-circuit and overload events on the respective power-supply terminals will be generated when the terminals are found to be operating in critical conditions (refer to the Installer's manual or details). - Communication failure with power supply This event will be generated when the power-supply unit is unable to communicate with the control panel. The control panel also recognizes the above-mentioned events as faults and saves them in real-time to view fault menu. Alien/S and Alien/G Firmware version 1.10 Following is a list of the new features offered by the latest firmware version: - Improved voice quality. - Improved visualization of the progress bar during recording/playback of messages in the memo box. - Improved temperature change filter now prevents sudden changes in the visualized temperature. - Improved "Photo frame" management. Exiting "Photoframe" is now fast and immediate when the input/output window must be displayed or when touching the display or holding a tag in the vicinity of the device.
