3 System Requirements The following hardware and software requirements are necessary for the installation of the Oracle Insurance Policy Administration (OIPA) system. This document contains the following sections. Hardware Requirements Target Database Software Requirements Software for each machine Hardware Requirements The OIPA system has the following hardware recommendations. Application Servers: Intel Pentium III/IV or Xeon dual 2 GHz processors 20 GB hard drive Data Base Server: Intel Pentium III/IV or Xeon dual 2 GHz processors 100 GB hard drive RAID-5 Document Server: Intel Pentium III/IV or Xeon 2 GHz processors 100 GB hard drive Target Database One of the following target databases is required. MS Windows 2000 Advanced Server MS Windows 2000 Advanced Server SP4 MS Visual Source Safe 6.0 MS Office 2000 (Excel and Word) MS Office 2000 SP2 MS Internet Explorer (IE) 6.0 Jasper Reports Hibernate CVS (Version Control) Apache Ant (Build Program) The following types of software are delivered with the OIPA system. Eclipse (IDE) Java Script/CSS Stored Procedures Maintenance Utilities Image Files Jasper Report Files XDoclet Deployment Descriptors Local and Remote Interfaces Local and Remote Home WebService Deployment Note: Because all of our tools can be command line based we re not tied to any IDE.
