1 Download and Import Media Profiles from Roland Profile Center into Roland VersaWorks This document shows you how to easily download media profiles from the Roland Profile Center website and upload the media profiles into your version of the Roland VersaWorks RIP Software.

2 Welcome to the Roland Profile Center. The Roland Profile Center is a one-stop site for obtaining media profiles for your Roland printer, enabling you to produce the highest quality output from your Roland inkjet. Simply download a profile for the selected media, import it into your RIP and start printing. It s that easy. Please be informed that many of the media profiles posted within the library will be supplied by media manufacturers other than Roland. With this in mind, and because Roland can only test, endorse and guarantee its own profiles, users are encouraged to test any profiles selected from the library before printing to ensure satisfaction. Roland encourages all media manufacturers to participate in this programme. If you are a media manufacturer and you would like to receive more information, please your request to mediasupport@rolandprofilecenter.eu This guide is for use on Windows systems only.

3 Change languages From the right corner of Roland Profile Center, you can choose between 6 different languages: English German Spanish French Italian Portuguese

4 View profiles In the Profiles section you can see the available profiles. Note that you need to register in order to download profiles.

6 How to register By registering on Roland Profile Center, you will grant access to features related to you Roland printer. You will get easy access to media profiles, keep track of your downloads and the possibility to receive updates and information about color profiles.

7 How to register In order to start registering, click the button Register Fill in the registration form. Please select if you want to receive updates and info from Roland DG.

8 How to register When the form have been filled with the needed information, click Save

9 How to register After clicking Save the above message will be displayed. An activation has been send to your . Open the which you have received from Roland DG.

10 How to register Click the link in the , to finish the activation process. From the webpage opening automatically please select your Printer mode, add serial number and date of purchase. Click Register to finish the process.

11 How to register Registration is finished. Now you have access to all functions at Roland Profile Center.

You will also see the amount of profiles available for each material.

13 Download profiles By clicking on the more information button, a detailed information will be available.

14 Download profiles You can add as many profile to you Download queue, by clicking add to queue Every time you add a profile to the queue, it will be added to your basket.

15 Download profiles When you have the needed profiles, click Download Queue From this menu, you can Download all the profiles you have selected, remove all, or remove one-by-one.

Go to your local download folder, where you will find the needed RML file.

16 Download profiles By clicking the Download queue the system will start preparing the package for download When the package is ready for download, the system will display the following Click the link. The download starts. Go to your local download folder, where you will find the needed RML file. The system prepare rml files if you select profiles from only media. If you combine different media profiles, e.g. Vinyl and Banner in one download, the system will make a compressed file. Extract the compressed file and you will see the rml needed.

17 How to import profiles Open Roland VersaWorks Go to the menu Media, and select Media Explorer

18 How to import profiles From the menu Media Explorer, choose Load from File Open your folder where the files have been extracted.

19 How to import profiles DO NOT click OK, until VersaWorks have finished the import of the profiles

20 How to import profiles The system will display the profile you are about to import. Click OK Not the system will display the imported profile. You can repeat the procedure if you need to import more profiles.

21 How to import profiles Click OK to finish the import procedure. Click yes to apply the settings.

22 How to import profiles Now you will be able of selecting the media profile, from the Media Type menu.

23 Other function From the menu My printers you can make adjustments to your personal site. You can register a new printer. By clicking this you will be redirected to the same procedure as the first time you registered. You can also edit your profile. If you accidently typed wrong data, you will be able of changing them by editing your Roland printer.

24 Other function You can also remove your machine from your personal site, if you do not own it any more.

Other function If you have converted a printer from Eco Sol Max / Max 2 inks to Eco Sol Max 3 inks, and have made your own profiles for the current ink setup, it is possible

25 Other function If you have converted a printer from Eco Sol Max / Max 2 inks to Eco Sol Max 3 inks, and have made your own profiles for the current ink setup, it is possible to convert your profile to be used with Eco Sol Max 3. Choose you file (rml) by clicking Choose File In this example we use a profile made for RF-640 using Eco Sol Max 2 inks.

26 Other function Choose your file, and click open The converting process is started automatically.

27 Other function After converting you will be able of downloading your file. Please use this file for your Roland VersaWorks. You will be able to different the two files. The converted file will be named conv

28 Other function Import the profile, uing the same procedure as described earlier.

29 Need help From the Contact us you will be able of sending us a question. The system will automatically use your contact details. Select a Subject and a question and send it by clicking Submit
