1 BOXIR2 Readme Some of the issues resolved by this FixPack require the creation of new registry keys/subkeys or the editing of registry key/subkey values. In most cases where these registry keys/subkeys need to be created, the FixPack install will create the key/subkey and set the default value. Please refer to the readme information for each specific issue for the default and recognized values. 2 ADAPT In an environment running HP-UX, when users log on to the Central Management Console (CMC) as administrator, and click Server to display the Connection Server Properties dialog box, a retrieve error message appears. Known Limitations: To prevent this problem, users must run a set of commands as follows: IMPORTANT: Note that UNIX commands are case sensitive. 1. Stop all BusinessObjects Enterprise servers, the application server, and the web server. 2. On the HP-UX server, switch to Bourne shell, or a shell that is compatible with Bourne, if you are using another type of shell such as a C or TC shell. 3. Run the command env.sh from the following directory: <BOE_Install_Directory>/bobje/setup/ Note: Replace <BOE_Install_Directory> with the directory where BusinessObjects Enterprise Xl Release 2 is installed. 4. Go to the directory <BOE_Install_Directory>/bobje/enterprise115/ 5. Run the command regsvr -v libcscontainer.sl, and watch for the following messages which confirm that the command was successful: Registering libcscontainer.sl... Success! 6. If the number of clustered Central Management Servers (CMS) is greater than two, to enable this fix users must manually update the value of the following registry key for each installation: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Business Objects/Suite 11.5/CMS/Instances/<cms name>/bypasssecservicetimeout Replace "<cms name" with the name of the CMS. Set the value of the registry key to (n+1)*720000, where "n" is the number of clustered CMS. ADAPT REVERSE_TABLE_WEIGHT parameter in the sybase.prm file is no longer taken into account. This leads to generation of invalid SQL. Problem is now resolved. To solve the problem, the input parameter is stored in the SBO file so that no binary file is delivered instead. To enable this fix, under the appropriate Database Target, users must add the following parameter to the db2.sbo file: <Parameter Name="Unicode">UTF8</Parameter> Users must also ensure that DB2CODEPAGE is set to ADAPT When using the BusinessObjects Enterprise Xl Release 2 COM SDK to retrieve data from the Crystal Management Server (CMS) repository, using the function SecurityInfo.getAnyPrincipal(), a memory leak starts and, over time, the server may terminate unexpectedly. The cause of the problem is that SecurityInfo.getAnyPrincipal() uses memory each time it is invoked and fails to release it. The function uses a cache in COM SDK to store all the security info queried back from CMS. The cache is never emptied. Page 4 of 51

5 To solve the problem, when an item is added to the cache map, the following checks are done: 1) Determine when the last clean-up operation was done, to ensure clean-up work of the cache happens every five minutes. 2) If five minutes have passed since the last clean-up, check whether the size of the map is greater than 50000kb. Note that 50000KM is intended as a threshold point for clean-up, not a setting for the maximum cache size. 6 The printer settings on a report may override the printer settings of the printer. This problem happens when a report is created on one a machine, but opened and printed from another, and the machines use different default printers. When the report is created on the first machine, it is assigned the machine's default printer settings. On the second machine, the report uses those printer settings instead of the printer settings of the second machine. This problem happens when code for the Visual Basic 6 Report Document Controller (RDC) is set to call the zoom method for the ActiveX Viewer object the first time that the viewer report method is invoked. To enable this fix, users must set the code to call the ViewReport method after it calls the zoom method. This is because the initial zoom setting is reset to 100% by the ViewReport method. To solve the problem, Voyager now recognizes the change to the dimension name, and it displays a message to the user. Voyager then removes the old dimension from the current worksheet and lets users add the renamed dimension to the report. 10 When a new universe uses the same name as one that was recently deleted, after the new universe is exported, a Web Intelligence report may not be able to connect to the universe. The cause of the problem is that the function Teradata ParseSQL, which is used for parsing escape sequences in SQL statements, causes a core dump when multiple threads are used. Because the Teradata ODBC is unable to handle multiple threads, the following workaround functionality has been added to this HotFix release: the resource file named querybuilder no longer builds escape strings such as d{''}, oj{} in SQL statement.
